The costs of maintaining these "professionals", as you call them, is staggering. Tax dollars could be better spent in other areas than a standing army amongst the people.

viriginia already has a militia. without the food and drug administration people would still be dieing of tainted foods, and home medicines containing poisons, without the national park service the grandcanyon would have ended up becoming a land fill, wiht out the epa chemical companies could dump toxic wast wearever the y wanted. and ok I can see the problems with homland security and the patriot act. but without a number of those agencies he listed, our sociaty would fall appart

This Amendment needs to be re-written and permanently changed to no longer allow people here illegally the same rights as actual American citizen's rights.
My opinion this amendment should include "Only citizens of the State in the United States they were born in, are then citizens protected"..
