Wes Sims is not a good fighter, just a funny guy. The fact is that the Gracies are good at there jiu-jitsu but not in MMA. They are very confident on what they do but they fight someone who is just as good as them they fall. I love the Gracie tradition and what they have done for BJJ.

agreed and for that reason, its not quite, but more and more its being considered simply as a sport. to be honest, trained BJJ for 5 years and was told my first day, one submission/ground fight takes 4times more energy than a fist-fight. this could not be more true. I actually agree with you. However it is not just a sport, and does have practical purposes. I mean Karate is a sport, so is Tae Kwon Do, but they both have practical purposes, well atleast somewhat, I'm not a big fan of either of those. I myself have a brown belt in BJJ, and a purple belt in JKD, and have competed in MMA. Anyway that is just my schpeal on it.

He probably doesn't remember me---I was at a 2008 cage fight in Fort Wayne to watch some of the MMA fighters I trained with fight, including Mike and Justin.. He was one of the first guys I saw walking into the area. It was at the Coliseum. I'm pretty tall but Wes was even bigger, eh.

From what I remember he was really cool---many MMA fighters are decent people once you get to know them. Usually the audience sees a lot of the hype and the promotion. But controversy sells.
