this is ironic, since the Arc was originally called the association of retarded children, and then the association for retarded citizens.

@enishicz28 Originally yes, 60 years ago, when the "r-word" was associated with a medical diagnosis, not a hurtful term. As the name started to become used in a hurtful way we adapted and dropped the acronym in 1992, and are now "The Arc."
