  • Nice Vid. I have a black handle MOD Knife one for about 12 years now. The only downside is that the soldered hand guard has become loose from chopping and batoning. How is yours holding up ?

  • Wow bro that is a fantastic gift nice!!!!

  • @CrazyJase74 it is..and now I have smoothed down the scales..it's sweet now!!

  • mate are you sure you work in a school cus you are one lucky bar steward! lol

  • @38MarcW ha ha LOL!

  • Nice one Scott! I'm lucky enough to have the earlier model with the Wilkinson Sword blade......Cheers.

  • I see those on surplus websites from time to time and have always thought they would make good bushcraft knives. Good on you.

  • Great looking knife! Looked like a really thick blade. Don't think you would ever have to worry about that beast breaking ! Looks like it could handle years of abuse in the woods! Awesome knives, thanks for sharing, be safe........JP.

  • good stuff,wow!!

    all the best mate ;)

    regards

    SA

  • REALLY nice review of this blade here: /watch?v=NLA3t633328

You gotta watch it Mate -entertaining, from the American perspective and the guy doing it DOES know his stuff when it comes to... certain things... enjoy!

  • I am lucky enough to have one of those :0) it's lovely innit, most commonly issued for Arrctic Warfare training when a fair bit of work with wood and ice is on the cards. That's where mine originated anyway. It has done so well for me over the years that I recently aquired another for my son who is very "outdoorsy" too and gets a lot of use from it. Gotta love useful things eh! enjoying the vids, keep up the good work, all very interesting. Cheers now!

  • @herne2001 Arctic sorry, typing too fast again!

  • Awsome knife, you just got to love any knife with a little history especially those from the armed forces.

  • thanx for sharing. you have knives we don't see here every day. nice

  • Great knife(s). Thanks for showing, Scott.

  • Vcool giftage dude.

  • I've had my eyes on that one for a while, but I find it a bit to thick and heavy for the size. Still a very interesting model if you want sth more sturdy than the common KaBar.

  • The blade seems very similar to the BK2.

The crow bar with an edge!

Hey Scott, I am glad for you!

  • @SpartanJohns thank there,,I've just been sent a video from a guy who had done a sweet mod on his Army knife AND has a BK2,,so along with my BK7,,a good pairing,,all the best!

  • That's a good general workhorse knife. The BK-2 favors it.

  • @kphifer1 thanks!

  • That is a great looking knife and even better story behind it and how it came to you.

    Nate

  • @CdnLifeguard71 thanks Nate!

  • "A pry-bar with an edge" Very apt! That's a sweet gift.

  • @TheSurviver72 it is,,,have a great Sunday

  • The Becker BK2 was Ethan Becker's idea of what this MOD knife could become. I had both but gifted the MOD knife to my Dad when we went on a survival course together. It is a great chopper and you can beat the s*** out of it and it will just shrug its shoulders. You can put an effective edge on it too. You'll love it Scott and it might give you some inspiration for new designs :-) Take care. Ben

  • @oldhairpin this vid has really thrown up comparisons with the BK2 so what I think I'll do it mod my other WebTex one into a BK2 clone,,that'll be a cool vid eh?

  • @bassfuryvi Definitely! An by grinding the bevel back, you may get a nice polished v black look on the blade too :-)

  • Nice knife. I want to get one of those myself at some stage. Hopefully, we'll see it action soon :)

  • very good bit of kit i have one of these a issue one its a moster of a blade iv been meaning to change the handle on mine for a while like you say its just chucked on but saying that iv realy used mine in the past and its never come loose but does like giving out the odd blister.

  • @canoebushcraft1 cheers Joe..yes the scales definitely need work but in there is a brute of a blade,,have a great weekend!

  • Sweet! Man I have wanted one of those for a while now. Let me know how it works out. Congrats bro!

  • @fishwolfSBK thanks Jimmie!

  • This is a beast ;D Looks like its absolutly right to call it a "sharp prybar"^^

But i cant imagine that this is a good survival knife since it has nearly no tip ... or ... am i wrong?

  • @BulletCastDuo it does not have a fine tip like a mora, but I reckon I'll mod the WebTex one as an experiment,,stay tuned ..a load of work on so it will be a few weeks,,

  • Ya know bro the reason you get such wonderfull gifts like this is because you really appreciate it and have a heart felt joy when you receive a gift... I have thought about sending you something when I get it done just cause I know you will truley enjoy it:)

  • @houseoffire72 oh man! only if you send your address,,know what I mean?

  • Sweet! I had one several years ago and they are a tank! There is not much you could ever do to hurt it.

  • @Nebulax123 cheers there Bruce,,it really does feel like a tank,,heavy and tough,,have a great weekend!
