The question is pretty simple: "Is the money that the taxpayers GAVE to the banks going to be asked for AGAIN when these new programs FAIL?" In other words, are we going to bail-out our bail-outs?

The Federal Government has purchased 25% of the Chevy Volt fleet. They bought their OWN vehicles (GM is still owned by the government), and now they offer discounts to purchase Volt vehicles. Funded with taxpayer money, purchased with taxpayer money, and then sold to taxpayers at a "discount".

@BBCater If you apply this "logic" in the real marketplace, it would be like someone asking you for "startup" capital... then asking you to purchase 25% of the products they just made - so they can make "claims" about "best selling this-or-that", and then they turn BACK to you and say "See what people (them) are saying about this product..? You've already funded the entire thing - and now you get a "discount". The Federal Government.

What do you expect from a system where US Treasury offers USDollars at 15% discount to big buyers, and the Fed prints them on demand.
