  • nice

  • that was so cool.hehe.

  • haha. you can still see the shadows of the wire. but that aside this video was amazing!!! it must of taken forever to make.

  • o.O really?! usually I'm a perfectionist when it comes to retouching ;) and it didn't take us that long. the animation was done in one long night. but tests and preparation beforehand took us quite a while. and thanks for your comment ^.^

  • WIN

  • the awsomeness of this video is amazing

  • hi! thats pretty awesome. especially if you actaually animated this! how long did it take you to make?

  • thank you! the pre-production (printing, cutting out and playing with LEGO) took us about a day and a half, the animation itself was done in one night so we wouldn't loose the flow. but it was a long night ;) post-production took another day or two.

  • thats was great keep it up

  • awsome

  • lol this is the best mario anamation ever

  • i have made some sonic paper sprites

  • 5 Stars-- I wish they had ads this creative on the tv. :)

  • thanks for your nice comment! if it was for tv i would probably re do it a little better, especially the lego-part which is rather.... blocky ;)

  • Bravo! 5 stars...!

  • LOL. Check out my animation of Lego Mario, too! "The Glitches of Super Mario Brothers". It's not a real glitch, of course.

  • cool 5 stars

  • yay! thank ya kindly ^.^

  • Why don't you do something as cool as your "bullet time mockup" video ?

  • cause that was not the job definition. plus it would've been more even work than an animated short like this is.

  • Why is the picture looks like its a part of the PS2?

  • see below

  • Wow. 2-D to 3-D transition. Keep up the good work. See what you think about my mario film. (Lego Mario Brothers 2)

  • very cool put there's a PS2 controller instead of a Snes controller :D good vid though.

  • hehe yeah, at the time of making i didn't have a snes or nes available. thanks or the comment!

  • Cute!

  • at 31 you can see black bricks under mario

  • ouch! my screen probably was too dark :)

  • WOW!!! Thts all I can say...wow

  • Haha! Thats class!

  • I like it :D

    5/5 stars for ya ^^

  • yay! thanks! :)

  • wait a minute! i saw a playstation controller plugged into the plate where you saw the smb animation

  • hehe! you *have* good eyes! unfortunately we didn't have an nes plus controller at hand during animation. so we faked it with a PS2 controller and hoped nobody would notice. but you did. congrats! :)

  • where did you get that cut outs?

  • i loaded the game in NESten, made some screenshots, pasted them in photoshop and printed 'em out. better glue it onto some cardboard or strong paper

  • prety cool

  • Sorry I just accidentally removed your post to the "Preview Version" instead of hitting "Reply" so I'll answered it here:

Yes, the Sony Alpha 100 is a very good camera and I had no troubles whatsoever. Only real bad cameras fails during shooting stop-motion films. Usually a professional camera's shutter is good for (at least!) half a million exposures, so don't worry. I've had a Canon Powershot myself (an A20). It wasn't bad but with a digital SLR you just have way more control over your image.

  • Yes, this is the same footage as the Preview Version but stabilized, color-corroceted, tilted, etc.

  • thanks mate. it looked nearly perfect on the first attempt --> surprised me too! that's why i put up the preview version to prove that I was just a lucky guy that day ;)

  • can you put up a tutorial on how to make LEGO mario

  • damn, you're fast! lol. sure. gimme a couple of days. what do you wanna know exactly?

  • how to make Lego mario and how many colors we need need for that piece

  • Oh sorry i havent seen the full video yet,ITS AWSOME,when i saw the Preview of this movie i said OMG he used cut outs to make the orignal mario game animation,YOU ROCK!

  • fake

  • Have you seen the preview?? :S No.

  • how is that fake?
