The port should only work for the remote. But when we plugged in the mic it worked just fine... We were as stumped as everyone else. There should be a firmware update for the g10 to allow the remote port to work with the mic but our G10 did not have it. Its a great tripod. We used it recently to rig a test of the 45mm macro lens from panasonic.
The g10 have a mic input? I thought it was only for remote. How'd you guys do it?
