  • it was true story 1993

  • There's real people behind the movie from which the movie is based on. The tribute should be to them the real soldiers who shed tears, sweat, blood and their own lives there.

  • there was this really good tribute about black hawk down

  • i was not there

  • to all the brits on here comment shitting the US, you seem to forget that we are allies, and if your country was ever in trouble the united states would be at your side in a second ... so how about showing a little respect

  • yeah not to mention we pulled their ass out of the fire in WW2

  • @R0gue01 britan was fighting WW2 long be4 you decided come help they where prity safe on their iland considering the germans had no way of geting to them as they did not win the battle of britan all you did was speed things along in germany. Japan ya that was all you not gona take that away but you seem to 4 get and alot of people do is that russa did most of the work in german.

  • @R0gue01 and so you dont go off on one about we did more russa lost 168,524,000 men on one front you lost 131,023,000 men on 3 fronts so pay some respekt to the men and women that lost their lifes

  • Does someone know the second song?

    Thx..

  • it doesn't own enough to have not fucked up that mission killing more than 20 just to do the whole "no man left behind "bullshit

  • would you like to be left in the battlefield alone with thousands of people who want to kill you?, i didnt think so dumbfuck, and also what if that was your brother out there and they didnt go for him youd be pretty fukin pissed to hear they didnt even try to go get him so stfu with all your bullshit

  • (saving private ryan whas a real movie)

9 men died saving one man in ww2 thats how strong the no man left behind is and its still the marines motto

  • saving private ryan was a fictional story based on 8 brothers from the civil war

  • no it was based in 4 brothers in 101st airborne

  • Not true. Do your research before you comment.

  • US army OWNS!!! "Mess with tthe best, die like the rest!"

  • If the US Army own, why was Operation restore hope a failure, killing innocent decent men especialy Randy and Gary! I have alot against America at the moment but this battle was probably one of the bravest things your country has come out with, and its fuckin outstanding what these brave lads did. RIP. Love from England

  • dont hate america hat G.W bush and i think what he ment whas that its rare to see and operation fail seeings how the US Army is the most technologicly advanced army dont hate america hate bush hes the one that fucked america up

  • Your army is not very inteligent, you've had the most reported cases of friendly fire and failed missions

  • well i dont know about friendly fire but yes fail missions but why do you think we have the most we go to war like every 10 years and not because we have to but to try and save a country from tearing its self apart america did not have to help in WW2 america did not have to fight the korean war america did not have to fight black hawk down even tho that realy whas not a war but still so please remember to give some respect when insulting the US Army

  • By all means i respect any armed force that are an Ally of Britain, or who fight for a good cause, im just saying your army is big headed alot.

  • yea very true

  • And i admit that our country can be big headed about our forces too, however, I dont like it when you deny the fact that our SBS train alot of the stuff to seals, that steams me off because i know its true. But hey we are still allys so :D we kwl!

  • Probably only reported cases of friendly fire and failed missions. Gotta love free press. More missions, more problems. Panama, iraq 1, iraq 2, Grenada, Kosovo, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan, Beirut, Vietnam, Korea, Egypt, Italy, France x 2, Iwo Jima, Guadal Canal, Phillipines, Tora Bora, Midway, Alaska, Sicily, Alamo, Little Big Horn, bound to be some fuck ups along the way. We're still here. Not going anywhere. Appreciate your help though. Long live the queen or whatever your supposed.

  • nice movie

  • i feall sory for those who lost there lives to do some good in this world////ameria came to somalia to help stop the cival war by capturing the milita leaders or killing them but it all was for nothing becasue know we have pirates hajiaking boats at the horn of afria... but who cares because people die every single day and some one needs to help unlike the un who doesnt do shit

  • If you lose a thumb or any other finger other then the trigger finger, can you still goo into the army?

  • What a great event was that... It ended USA's 'world police' thing

  • good video! god bless the troops in iraq right now!! hooah!

  • You have so many diffrent fighting units, its hard for outsiders to keep up.

  • whats this song called??

  • the name of the song is gortoz a ran. by donez prigent

  • NATO shouldn't have let the US do it alone, e're a team my country (Britain) could have helped alot here, we are good at that sort o thing and the Germans would have been really valuable. somalia is an abomination for a country let the bastards kill thermselves

  • it was all around a bad idea... britain and germany would have also faced deaths as well

  • No not really Americans are Germans and Brits, Dutch, French, Italians, Spanish etc. basically a european country. 18 dead Americans, you should check the stats from the other side. Pretty lopsided battle from where I see it. Or where I saw it. About a mile away.

  • Kool Video!!

    Best Movie Ever!! xx

  • Nach den Konflikten hat sich nichts wesentliches geändert. Ein Hoch auf die amerikanische Moralvorstellung!

  • i'm sorry.. I will have to ask you to translate

  • what he said was

"After the conflict has nothing fundamental changed. A high on the American moral imagination!" but who cares britain should hvae helped you, our paras would hvae torn the fuckers to pieces

  • thank you for the translate

  • britain could have done helped... but the issue wasnt america couldnt do it... the problem was america didnt send many in...

  • my dad went

  • I have to dissagree. This was not a conflict provoked by the US. They simply wanted to help the humanitarian effort in Somalia. Please do not make the mistake and look upon everything the US does as inherently evil. Despite the recent past the US has done good in the world too. R.I.P to the soldiers who lost their lives during this unfortunate event.

  • Chillout man, youtube is just for fun. No one gets paid anyways

  • HHAHAHAHA Alex, you think your a youtube video critic or sumthin... chill man... anyway.. nice video,, best movie ever

  • why dont you shut up... all videos from youtube are from and to everyone... dont like it? dont watch it...

  • I was in big mo in 1994. Things didn't calm up and it was tense. I actually saw the remains of the wreck. It was eriest thing I've ever seen.

  • By the way, the killing and unstability still continues today. Such a beautiful country and beautiful people...all wrecked up because of the war. So sad.

  • You know that some of the guys in this movie were the same guys that were in the war for real?

  • not exactly. they had actual ranger do the fastroping but they weren't from the battle of Mog.. Delta force guy's wouldn't have been allowed to do this.

  • yea they did, cause at the museum where i live the guy said they were some same ones, they were just retired. then they decided to come back and shoot this.

  • do you mean rangers or delta? Delta wouldn't be allowed to do this and I am 100% sure of it.

  • No after a certain time events can be made open, allowing them to speak of the event or whatever. A Ranger involved with the actual battle did do work as a stuntman.

I dont know about Delta, but I've seen Green Berets come and talk about a mission on TV because they were cleared to do so.

  • thats what i mean, Delta wouldn't be allowed to be in the movie and I know because I am a former Delta myself. the movie production asked Rangers to do the fast-roping scene and they did.

  • The song is Called

Hans Zimmer - Black Hawk Down (Main Theme)

  • brave men

  • what the fuck is your problem i dont even care if your kidding. Men of the Delta Force gave their lives to capture thoes men and you have to bring up the fact that 2 of our best blackhawk choppers we're fought down by terrorists.I cant believe the nerve of you low life scums .

  • this message is for glitchandmoviepro and anyone else to thinks its funny that our men gave their lives

  • u know what dude, shove it

  • The song in the very beginning of this video, what's it called? I like it! :O

  • great movie, the soldiers that made the greatest sacrifice deserve to be treaded with respect, and the ones that did make it home, and, it all happend 18-19 days before i was born, very interesting i think.

  • yes there were also 4 US navy SEALS, PJ's, and air force combat controllers fighting that day

  • hardcore, dont listen to the douchebags who saz its not good. they are from douchebagastan thez think that the hardcore ness of our army is stupid cuz they are gay dont listen to em mate great video

  • No you guys, there were PJ's there, who were attached to SOCOM as medical support. And they did help treat the wounded..And you guys wont know the full details for another 25 years..The mission is still Black..I.e.CLASSIFIED.

  • ofcourse not all US forces fight like men, some of your finest pilots are girls. suck on that. gaaje

  • our*

  • don't forget lads. The US militairy is highly trained... the Somalia militia was not at all!!! 19 vs 1*** in 24 houres... And not everyone is afraid to die, I pray our Father will free us...

  • amen josh wow gaaje you are a loser hows about you go and fight and have an entire city shooting at you and 200 other guys; go home frekin dick

  • anyone with common scence is afraid to die, gaaje20. why do you think they lost over 1000 and we lost 19? because we fight like men and you don't. God bless America

  • well actually if you go to iraq or iran you will find that they are taught at young ages that allah will reward them if they kill non-muslims. they are brainwashed, not stupid

  • from iraq, thanks my brother somalis who did this show them what they are, they can.t fight like a man, they afraid to die, bella somali

  • Fucking Jack Off Iraqi shit! Your stupid ppl are going around blowing they're guts out like no tomorrow! thats dying in "HONOUR?" Stupid Muslim shit!

  • Notice how the Marines secured the country gave it up to the Army and it fell apart. Then the Marines come back to get them and the U.N. out with barely a shot fired. Not to say the Army isn't well trained, just to much bureaucratic bullshit. The Army is to large and commanded by to many to operate well. No offense Army Dogs but your commanders failed you and continue to do so. It takes a fucking act of congress to muve the Army, literally.

  • umm. The one blowin themselves up, are call Iraqis. If you noticed, in somalia, they only shot each other. BTw all of you out there that think you can nuke some one. Read about the Geniva convention plz

  • I would have nuked those Fukin somalis. all they do is over crowd the world and Bomb the Shi* out of them selfs . Those un educated sons of Fuc*ing bitchs

  • None of the Ranger chalks or Lt. Colonel McKnight's convoy was near by. The only thing close by was the two delta force snipers. Th fought hard agaisnt all odds. They were to exfill the wonded and destroy the downed bird so the somali's wouldnt have the chance to get a hold of it.

  • When chalk 4 reached the crash site, it was late afternoon, the somoli's would have been really hyper due to the highly addictive drug called Khat, that they were on. They had set up road blocks all through-out the black sea( the bakhara market). This prevented Lt Colonel Danny McKinght and his convoy from reaching crash sight #1. When the c-2 bird (command bird) ordered super 6-4 to take duper 6-1's sniper pattern to cover the hummvvees, 6-4 was hit and it wentdown farther in the black sea.

  • The RPG is a shoulder fired rocket propeled grnade that can destroy alost any thing.

The shot down one of our choppers. If they haddent, our troops would have been back at Mog airport within the hour. But their motto, Leave no man behind, states that they must go and take their brothers from the crash with them.

  • OK Jeabon

You must be the most stupid person in the world. Read the Geniva convention, Nukes shall not be fired unless a vote by the UN and all countries is made allowing the strike. Second, we were not at war. Have you even read the book about the true events. The US army was their as an elite special forces task force that specialized in covert operations.

Now have you ever benn inside a black hawk or next to one? No, i though so. They are BIG, and that makes a BIG target.

  • uibalex how would u feel if a dictator is in ur country killing everyone by hunger??

dude democracy should be put in all the countries in the world and i even think we should invade Sudan to make sure that the genocide stops.

  • I don't think anyone has a perfect solution yet. Everything has it's downsides.

  • Totally.

  • I think from what i have seen from recent history. The USA and Britian or any democratic country should not interfere any more in Iraq they could only be controlled by a dictator so i think that all the countries that were going to be democratic probaly already are.

  • Somalia another Democrat mistake. Clinton first cuts the US military/intelligence apparatus in half and creates his euphemisitic "Peace Dividend" and still insisted on launching global operations without proper men or equipment. The troop shortages we are suffering today are easily traced back to the Nero er, Clinton Years of Decadence and Debauchery. I love how Clinton cut-and-run from Somalia...typical Dem!

    In hoc signo vinces,

    ATMD

  • Gallardo, you stupid FUCK,come down to Houston ,i ll rip your fuckin head off.kill, kill, exit light, enter night,my blade is sharp,i ll cut you nice and deep.

  • is that the american solution to everything when things turn nasty, nuke em, nuke em.. ppl said the same when vietnam was happening just as it is in iraq today

  • why didnt they nuke those mother fuckers

  • Why the fuck are you asking that?

  • We weren't even at war with Somalia. They shot down a Black Hawk helicopter and began attacking those who were on board.

    Stupid question.

  • love the tribute the movie is also great if anybody knows the name of the second song please email me

  • okey thx you mate

  • Just a summary of the movie. It isnt political just a really good movie.

  • Of course it's political movie. It's a glorification of comradeship between soldiers. It's propaganda. Still a good movie. ^^

  • if we want a fight then we will....i think we should stay out of that.

  • we should go to somalia again

  • hey all!!

and anyone the song name?? plz say if u know need know for i like that song!! plz say

  • Its called Gortoz a ran or something like that. I put the song titles at the end of the video.

  • Somalia is the new afghanistan later on 2007 will be our next target >.< go US *terrorims is a cancer* and i prefer traind soldiers to fight thoose guys than have them playing on our backyard

  • The problem was the pussy Clinton whitehouse not sending tanks instead of humvees. They didn't want to offend anyone. Monica drained too much testostrone out of Bill.

  • That ain't right, they were stupid enough not to tell the pakistans that they were going in.

Besides it was ment to take 30 mins but sending tanks would make go on for ever. The men were trained to do it in speed.

  • i hate war dipshits.... Hey Europeans, your lazy asses havent won a war since we left. Yeah, terrorism took out two of our buildings, we took out two of there countries. We didnt lose the battle in black hawk down, we killed over 1000 somalis and losr 18 americans. Get with the facts.

Iraqis have killed 3,000 americans, weve killed 700,000 iraqis!

  • Not sure which countries you're including in Europe, because speaking as a Brit we haven't LOST a war since World War II - apart from Suez.

  • The best film I have ever seen...

    Thx for this trailer:)

  • sad the 1's who die... thats what i am going to fly the blackhawk's thats in the army it was all army not Marines u need the army to win a war no Marines it was delta and rangers that r the hero's thay win the war that we dont no about. that the war it sould be . go army all the way

  • Dude, you are mislead. If you look at the major wars the U.S. has been involved in, the Marines are much more successful. It's not that the Army isn't well trained but they are trained to do one thing, whatever they are schooled in. A Marine is a combat soldier first, no matter his or her MOS. The Marines secured Somalia and handed over control to the Army and the U.N. They were not up to the task of keeping it secure. These Rgrs + Delta are heroes but their commanders and the U.S. failed them.

  • How dare you. Your comments are not warrented. I have spent 20+ years as an Army Aviation Blackhawk Crewchief, have worked with all services. I'm also a Paratrooper. I don't have the numbers on hand, but the Army has taken I guess 90% of the casualties in Iraq and Afghan. We just put two of our own in Arlington last year (COL Kelley, SSG Booker, go look em up). Your elitist attitude is sad. Maybe go watch Band of Brothers. And if you reply don't call me "Dude". Marines and attitudes...sigh...

  • Do your homework, sir. Your comment does not reply to what I said. I grieve for your comrades but a fact is a fact. Look at any major U.S. conflict and the Marines have handed over control to the Army. It's not to belittle the Army but facts are facts. The soldiers and Delta in Somalia are absolutely heroes but it could have been avoided by leaving Marines there. This has been proven time after time. I wasn't referring to you when I said "Dude" but it is what it is.

  • marines are fucking crazy... plus there were a lot more marines there and not many delta or rangers... rangers own marines hands down...

  • Unfortunately U.S. lives were lost. But the problem stemmed from Marines leaving and letting the Army take over. This type of situation has repeated itself since WWI. The Marines should have stayed after they restored order. Go figure that they were the ones to withdraw the UN and remaining U.S. forces in 1995.

  • i like it alot i served in the army wen it happened i was there

  • Umm let us not for the 160th SOAR "Night Stalkers"who are flying the birds

  • we cant just stand by and let iraq and all these other countrys push us around, i am aware that bush is using this war to his own advantage but we cannot show weakness in this kind of situation

  • And what advantage is Bush using this war for? Nothing! The war lost the Republicans Control of the Senate and the House!

In Blackhawk down, This war was a humanitarian effort, we went there to give the hungry food but the warlords stole it to feed their armies and we had to act.

  • I agree

  • cool

  • one of the best 1's ive seen yet, and im sure you know by now but they were delta and rangers...

  • My favourite movie Blackhawk Down

  • DAMN THAT WAS GOOD! 5 stars!

But this was a tragic event non-the less

  • Glad you liked it. Dont understand why people are thinking im making a political statment. Although US Armed forced do kick ass.

  • The video is not about glorifying war its for those who died due to the results of war. And for your information we spend billions a year on weapons regaurdless of we are at war or not. It the history of the world no dictator has ever had peace. Maybe next time youll take into full consideration the video instead of jumping the gun.

  • vary good asome job its about time i am in the army rangers now

  • Excalibur, you meant Armed Forces,eh...thought you meant Air Force lol

  • I know, Delta, and Rangers

  • nice video, and Excalibur...all the units that were involved in the events of Blackhawk Down were Army units hehe just saying

  • He meant Armed Forces.

  • I like it, very very good. The men and woman of the AF would be proud

  • The airforce wasn't there excalibur

  • bravo bravo fantastic job

  • well done

  • The best movie!!

  • A simple humanitarian mission gone critically wrong..... That's a very dishearting event in American history.....

The video brought tears to my eyes, and it is a stern reminder of the living hell those soldiers went through in their fighting retreat when they got caught up in the violence.....

  • Gortoz a ran - J'attends is one of the most emotional songs out there. Great choice for the music!

  • Well done!

  • Awesome dude.

  • Great movie mate! Loved it!

    - [this_guy]

  • I wouldnt know about brokeass mountain, never saw it. But Dennis is correct.

  • I never saw either, but i do have the soundtrack album in my room."Brokeass mountain" HAAAh!

  • The ending music is not from "Broke Back mountain" its from the original "Blackhawk Down" soundtrack "Leave No Man Behind" I think it was called.

  • didn't like the gay Brokeback music at the end

  • l33t video.

  • Best song I've heard in a while, good video as well

  • good stuff. love the music
