Mark Coleman was undoubtedly a stronger more powerful wrestler than Cain or Carwin; I'd wager Randleman was as well. Fedor's problem as of late, has been his horrible training camp with horrible sparring partners. When Fedor had Aleks on the Red Devil squad, and split his time at Golden Glory with K-1 Elite, he was doind better. Fedor is now bringing in more game sparring partners

@dunlap15 Mark Coleman couldn't take down Mo for the same reason Lesnar or Carwin wouldn't take down Fedor; striking ability. I can tell you first hand as a wrestler who has transitioned to MMA, that guys who I can take down at will during grappling, become extremely difficult to take down when striking is introduced. In MMA shot distance is increased by at least 3 feet because of striking; it takes striking ability to close the distance and set up the shot; striking which Lesnar and Carwin lack

Maynard sets up all of his shots with striking, and his boxing is pretty good; he just likes to lay and pray (or Gray and pray as I call it), to stall out his wins. Same thing with GSP, amazing striking, which allows him to set up his shots. GSP would get raped in a straight wrestling match by Kos, but was able to take him down, because of the threat of striking. In addition, Kos has very good striking, and Matt Hughes' is not bad either.

That gave the illusion that Rogers was "winning" the fight. The only other times Rogers landed anything was when he was on the ground. Rogers threw several punches, all of them missing except 2, which weren't damaging shots. U want 2 talk ufc fighters losing to lesser fighters. George st. Pierre lost to Matt Sera, Shane Carwin lost to Brock. It happens.

Many of these PRIDE veterans were also elite kickboxers as well as formidable wrestlers. Fedor came in and reigned supreme totally dominating the likes of Coleman, Crocop and Nogueira in their prime.

I have nothing against the UFC w/ the exception of Dana White. Brock was indeed a NCAA champion wrestler, no doubt, but N terms of wresting, he is still behind w/ his overall skill set compared 2 Fedor. Combat Sambo is a combination of wresting w/ more strikes incorporated. Throw N black belt level Judo w/ someone w/ cat-like reflexes, near pinpoint accuracy & extreme intelligence & U get Fedor. Mark Coleman was undoubtedly a stronger more powerful wrestler than Cain or Carwin; I'd wager Randleman was as well. Fedor's problem as of late, has been his horrible training camp with horrible sparring partners. When Fedor had Aleks on the Red Devil squad, and split his time at Golden Glory with K-1 Elite, he was doind better. Fedor is now bringing in more game sparring partners

@dunlap15 Mark Coleman couldn't take down Mo for the same reason Lesnar or Carwin wouldn't take down Fedor; striking ability. I can tell you first hand as a wrestler who has transitioned to MMA, that guys who I can take down at will during grappling, become extremely difficult to take down when striking is introduced. In MMA shot distance is increased by at least 3 feet because of striking; it takes striking ability to close the distance and set up the shot; striking which Lesnar and Carwin lack

Maynard sets up all of his shots with striking, and his boxing is pretty good; he just likes to lay and pray (or Gray and pray as I call it), to stall out his wins. Same thing with GSP, amazing striking, which allows him to set up his shots. GSP would get raped in a straight wrestling match by Kos, but was able to take him down, because of the threat of striking. In addition, Kos has very good striking, and Matt Hughes' is not bad either.

That gave the illusion that Rogers was "winning" the fight. The only other times Rogers landed anything was when he was on the ground. Rogers threw several punches, all of them missing except 2, which weren't damaging shots. U want 2 talk ufc fighters losing to lesser fighters. George st. Pierre lost to Matt Sera, Shane Carwin lost to Brock. It happens.

Let's name a few: Rampage Jackson, Chuck Lidell, Anderson Silva, Keith Herring, Dan Henderson, Shogun Rua, Crocop, Noguiera, Coleman 2 name a few. Many of these PRIDE veterans were also elite kickboxers as well as formidable wrestlers. Fedor came in and reigned supreme totally dominating the likes of Coleman, Crocop and Nogueira in their prime.

The UFC is an overhyped promotion. It's biggest advantage is that it's the most popular mma organization, but that doesn't mean it holds the best fighters in the world. Some it's best fighters R no longer N their prime anymore, some R , like any other promotion. Brocks only advantage against someone like Fedor is size only.

Well 5 ufc champions and all the pride guys when PRIDE was the shit and also all those guys were in their prime, as well as all the others from ufc, all without losing and I promise you every other single ufc fighter has lost to someone who is not half as good as Werdum that loss was a fuck up on fedors behalf goin for ground and pound so early. @DamainBoss619 yeah, the way Brock lost 2 Mir. Frank Mir lost to Brandon Vera. Brandon Vera lost to Werdum who was the first man to submit Fedor. Fedor beat Noguiera twice. Nogueira beat Werdum. People get better. He's a world class bjj artist and Fedor got careless which is why he lost. GSP lost to Matt Serra who many called a nobody also. It doesn't matter how many "nobodies" Fedor fought.
