trying to figure out why it took so much effort to get that patched ball down,,

1 was the barrel badly fowled,

2 do you spit or lube the patch..

3 try using a thinner patch material.... should be tight.. but not like that ... youd be overun and tomohawked by a huron warrior.before you got a 2nd shot off.

anyway i can see why you love it ..it is a nice looking smokepoll......looks like the old hadfield flintlocks..

@sheepsfoot2 Yeah, I was using a .02 patch, should be using a .015 patch (maybe .01). It was definitely annoying, but it was all I had at the time :-)
