But i loved all those sorts of games: Baldurs Gate series, Thief series. A game called The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery, brillant. Myst. @jdpoel Yeah, it is poor static graphics, I used to try Radeon x 800 256 mb (mid range card from 2007) to show my low budget folks that they can play too. I care about my people and subscribers. QUESTION for anyone who owns the game: it seems like the system requirements aren't much more demanding than the first release. Will this run fairly well on my system, so long as Shadow of Chernobyl does? Of course, I expect it'll be a bit choppier, but can I anticipate that performance won't be any worse?

@joe8588 I was able to run it on 800x600 high setting and static lighting on dula core amd 2.2 ghz laptop with GeForce 8200 IGP and 3gb of ram it was 30 fps comfortable game, and not bad.

@maptik It comes from the first game, Shadow of Chernobyl. It's an acronym for a bunch of words that basically describe criminals that is tattoed on the player's arm as he wakes up with amnesia. The people who mysteriously get the mark were called stalkers, and the name soon spread throughout the Zone, used to describe anyone. I'm not giving out spoilers, so you'll have to play SoC to get it.

For all those who say this game has bad graphics... get a computer capable of running accelerated dx11 and play on full graphic settings. Very realistic graphics. Although the explosions and some points of light contrasting still need work IMHO.

I did not see any differences in dx9 and dx11 graphics. If there is any, its hard to see it. The game look awesome anyways. On this video I was using my old directx9 b card which is not 9c, so thats why graphics is not the best, plus static lighting. For the maxed out check my other videos with Radeon hd5750.

Sorry, I tend to throw the MW2 insult a little haphazardly which is wrong of me. For me, its those parts of Stalker that really wrap up the experience. Traversing the zone is an eery and opressive experience. I love the paranoia and unneasiness that atmosphere evokes. I guess you prefer your games to have more of a visceral punch and thats cool too but I think if you gave it another try and really try to focus on the subtelties of the experience, you'll enjoy it more.
