  • Bunch of fucking low class and idiots thought they are going to get rich after Shah leaves. Ya right. Now they have to Suck my D.... for a peace of bread.

  • Al Jazeera is the voice of Arab tyrants and puppets who are afraid of the oppressed Arab peoples following the path of Iranians.

What can you expect from Al Jazeera but lies and lies.

  • Religion is a delusion, in which the human mind creates unproven beliefs, & then demands belief by those who state they speak for god/allah. The problem is the psychology of religion, and how the religious mind becomes self delusional, to the point that if we defy the religious and insist on facts, and the right to our own existence, we are threatened through Blackmail and Extortion that we will be sent to hell to suffer forever. OK: Where is hell?. What's the address?

  • @dvwxxx WOW, I said the same thing 30 yrs ago. I wish you the best of luck. Indeed, the journey to God (whatever religion) is a personal one. And I do know for sure, that hell does exist. Its in that space between the ears. And glimpses of paradise are also there, if you so choose. HOW, its up to you. Best wishes.......

    peace/salam

  • Because morality does not come from religion. It comes from God living in us. We all can be righteous. But it is not for any one man to dictate God's will nor law. This is one of the many reasons all religions are foolish. God is perfect, man is flawed. This is obvious in observing the Torah, Koran and Bible. Same God yet different religions. And within each one sects who cant agree. Each thinks theirs is the only way. In an infinite universe, this is absurd. All religion is wrong. God is love.

  • بابا ملت فهمیدن چه گهی خوردن رفتن دنبال آخوند کسکش. آخوندا همه‌ی خانواده رو عزادار کردن به قدر کافی‌.

  • 2 days after the black friday, a man by the fake name of Alameh Nouri was arrested. They found out his real name was sheikh yahya nasiri. At his residence near Jaleh square, they found many arab passports with larg amount of cash, with documents showing black friday planning. When Arafat visited Iran few weeks after the revolution, the papers said he was welcomed by Iranain officials & hundreds of palastininas who where in Iran several months prior...

  • Once state is contolled by religion, there will be no freedom. It doesn't matter which religion. "Freedom of expression", ...lets not forget David Koresh from branch Dividian...the christian's who burn abortion clinics...the Pastor who shot Larry Flint, owner of Hustler magazine for his sins & made him paralized....the list is long of fundamentsl christians.

  • You made the point: there is no true freedom as long as religion is in power. By some measures, you are right. But what else out there that can guarantee mankind absolute freedom without moral principles which are steeped in religions. Must we forego our hope in Christianity? Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

  • I know about Surah 112 — the one and only. Why does the one and only reveals to us that he is plural in his expressions of (We, our, ours)?

  • christians massacred christians by the millions in ww1 and ww2. white christians enslaved black christians for centuries in the usa. christians murdered 10 million indians and stole their land, the usa.! the "christian" usa murdered iran's president in 1953 (Moussadeq). then installed evil us puppets. and when the iranians kicked out the evil puppets in 1979, this christian nation labelled Iran as evil. Now ths christian naiton wants to bom iran. who needs a devil when we have sneaky christians

  • The economy not only did not collapse in 1977, but during the 70's, Iran had the highest GDP in the world. The revolution was put together by foreign support. All demonstrations where neatly co-ordinated in all major cities. Radio BBC used to anounce the night before where all demonstrations would be. The black friday was the result of palastinian gourilas opening fire at public & troops. 40 military personel where killed & no one talks as to how.

  • There probably was some foreign support for the revolution. But the idea that Iran had the highest GDP in the world in 1977 and the claim about Palestinian involvement in the black Friday tragedy are dillusional. This is exactly the type of thinking (denial) on the part of the old regime's elite that helped fuel the revolution, perhaps more so than any foreign influence.

  • From 1970-1978 Irans GDP rose at annual rate exceeding 11%. (today :India 11% & china 9%).Number of industrial plants & work force doubled. (see report from Aspen Institude, Newyork: Iran p.449.

Also see"The Economist, 11/30/94, P.90 Iran's GNP growth was among the highest in the world, at 13%. According to Iran Central bank, GDP is at 2% today!. In 1977 Iran produced 6.7M barrels a day, today is 3.7M barrels.

  • khomeini came and made the situation from bad to worse and then horrible.

we did not have public executions before the shitlamic revolution.

  • I'm not so sure. It's hard to tell one way or the other. Now there is limited voting allowed, before thee was none at all

  • and the women, where are they? I don't like this revolution that I consider against women!!!

  • Of course, but women would finally come later as full agents of the state by the early 1990s. Cause they finally realized, that the only way to keep the country in awe was to also make sure that it wasn't just 50% of the population.

  • Saddam Should have Killed Komeini! He shoudl have accepted French government offer to Kill Komeini in a car accident!

  • i wonder if they regret getting rid of the shah now.

  • probablly not, they might regret installing an ayatollah, but the shah needed to go.

  • The Ayatollah is long gone anyway.

Iran has moved into a more democratic goverment.

  • ayatollah still has the final decision though.

  • really?

I never really payed attention to goverments before.

  • Well he's named the supreme leader of iran for a reason. :P

  • true.

But I thought they got rid of the ayatollah regime.

  • ayatollah Khomeini is dead but ayatollah Khāmenei is still in power but president Ahmadinejad has become more of the figure of iran.

  • Kind of complex with 2 figureheads.

Wonder wich one has more power.

  • ayatollah hasthe major opinon whatever he says the country follows, but ahmadinejad still has some power.

  • But if the ayatollah has the major power, What is the point of having a president?

  • president sets policys, but under the guidence of the ayatollah's influnce. ayatollah is ment to be a spirtual leader more then a politician.

  • OK

    Thanks.

You seem to know alot about the iranian goverment.

  • thanks, I really don't know much about the islamic republic of iran other then the set up. I'm studying political systems and being a sunni muslim I already know a little bit about the theocracys in the middle east, in reality I barely know anything about iran since they have a government based on a differnt sect of islam. :P

  • cool.

Your part of the sunni sect?

    Sweet.

What do you think of the other sects?

  • honostly nothing. We are all the creations of Allah and we should not be judging others on their interpertation over islam if we as muslims fight with each other then we have lost the unity that the prophet and allah gave us so no matter what sect you are shi'a, sunni, sufi, agahani, or nation of islam we are equal.

  • OK.

    Thanks for the answer.

I think it would be better if all Islam was united.

  • that would be the same for all religions after all there is still hatred between such religious sects like protestant and catholicism orthodox baptist you name it.

  • True.

I think religions should be a bit friendlier to each other.

    You agree?

  • well a lot of people that that as well but idelogies cannot be destroyed, extremeism will always exist which means that there may never be unity as long as there is ignorance.

  • That has always been a problem I think.

If Ignorance didn't exiist, the world would be better off.

  • yes but the supreme leader is elected by the "guardian of jurists", which are in turn elected by the parliament. the "guardian of jurists" oversees and overlooks the supreme leader.
