When playing guitar, don't play it like a piano or organ. For starters, you can't play more than 6 strings at once... meaning you can't use more than 6 notes at once when playing the keyboard! Thsi simply sounds like piano playing using guitar sounds! Sorry but not a convncing demo.

If you want the best solo (monophonic) acoustic instruments Yamaha wins hands down... However Kurz pianos and orchestrals are stunning (except acoustic brass which is crap). P.S. Does anyone know where to download the PC3 owner's manual? Kurzweil site link doesn't work.

yamaha guitar sound is way better. Sounds like a hapsicord. But the strings and orchestral sounds kicks out Yamaha, Roland and Korg.

kurzweil piano sounds beats the motif 8xs piano sounds but not the guitars yamaha has wayyy better guitar sounds.

I agree. The guitar sounds are good in Kurzweil, but the Yamaha ones are like more playable with the articulations and rhythms.

why did you decide a pc3 over a motif?

Well, for my part... PC3 had awesome sounds, I wanted to support kurzweil and the price was lower. Also, the sonikmatter community is great!

And I guess, PC3 has better sounds than te motif, with few exceptions.

Oasys beats the hell out of everything in terms of sonic fidelity. Taking into account the PC3's ROM is only 64 MB it sounds pretty impressive. What's most impressive about the PC3 is its price :)

Well, I haven't played the Oasys, however, I wouldn't say it sounds the best in everything when listening to the demos, if that's what you mean by sonic fidelity. I wouldn't mind having one though ;). I considered the M3.

Did you sell your m3 (or was it an oasys you had before)?

I tried M3 once, and Oasys is beyond my funds. M3 sounds good, but it wasn't what I was looking for, nor was the Motif XS or the Fantom X/G. But I didn't sell anything to buy it, I just made a couple of commercials. You probably came via the karma-lab forum post? Oasys would be nice though ;) even though I'm not sure it can match the sound quality of the PC3.

I am at Karma Lab, but found this vid on my own :) Somehow the sound on youtube does not seem to really represent the quality of the pc3, because to me (having played the) oasys sounds much better.

You can get the vibrato(?) with the aftertouch, but forgot to use it. I can make one demo which only demos that.
