awesome video music really helps. nice boat especially like the transom. :D took to lond rigging up:P we need to see tHE action!!:P looks like a nice boat.
again nice idea, but the rs600 wasnt designed for a spinaker. it looks out of place on the deck. i admit in light winds its a great idea but you were even overpowered then. if you want a single handed assyemtric buy a musto skiff or rs700. Also if you more from and rs600 buy the foling kit!
If someone wants to put a spinnaker on his boat, let him! What the heck?! 'wasn't designed for it" so what! It is a sailboat! A good sailor is creative with canvas--not a mere appliance operator.
i have to disagree with the post above, the 700 is far far more stable than the 600 due to the skiff flat hull, and were the 700 down wind automaticly bears away with ease, a 600 with its rounded hull wouldnt work like that it would just broach up
its a nice idea...but a couple of questions come to mind....why should i get a kit for my 600 (if i had one) rather than a RS700? (which when desgined was designed for a spinniker unlike the 600) and also, im sure its good for when the wind's light, but what about when its blowing up?
Well we designed this with a 600 ownner that did not want to buy a 700 - more expensive, less stable, etc. If you want a 700 - then that is what you ought to get -
When we shot the video it was obviously very light. The spinnaker behaves very niicely in stonger wind - it is not quite as big as the 700's, and the boat is stable. We will try to post further videos with more wind - when we can get the boat, the skipper, the cameraman and hopefully a power boat in the same place at the same time
Imagine this on the Foiling version
