As a child born in 1943 my idea of an enjoyable afternoon was to look at the back cover of a USA National Geographic and drool at the advertisement for a tin of spam. Delicious! This went on into the 1950's. I also dreamed of a whole tin of Quality Street. chocolates. Once my USA auntie bought me a small tin but not the big tin!

Now I never eat spam and Quality Street have disappeared but I miss dried egg!
