  • Reaper all the fucking whey!

  • whats the first instrument in the intro called? the one that sounds like a saxaphone.

  • FL.

    Fruity Loops.

Seriously, how cute is that? <3

  • thanks but couldn't hear your voice..........

  • dude, where's the HQ back in the days it probably was but hey it's 2012 now, this is what we call BRICK recording, no offense content is good, but now we need an update cause we can't see S!@#, oh and question you still using FL or did you switch...

  • Thanks dude, that's helped me out;-)

  • Ableton FTW!

  • Acid Pro 7 = Fl Studio 8

  • oops wrong url heres the right one watch?v=afCA261oIJ0

  • do you have to have a midi controller to use edirol?

  • @straighttailpilot depends on your VST host. If you are using fruity loops no. If you are using cakewalk sonar, cubase or any other software that has a piano roll you do not need to have a midi controller but, it is sooooooo much better if you do have one

  • @maltcus ok. well I am planning on getting a midi controller. I have edirol but I cant seem to set it up to play with the piano roll. I am using sonar 7 P E. but for some reason no sound comes out. I do not know if I am not adding it correctly or something. anny help would be much appreciated! thanks!

  • @straighttailpilot thats what i am using. 1st I need to know that when u click on the piano keys on the piano roll u do not hear anything? if so how much when u using any other VST synth? have u loaded audio in sonar and see it you can hear anything?

  • @maltcus ok this is what I do. I go to insert. then soft synths then midi source synth track folder first audio output synth property page and synth rack view are highlighted. then I select the Piano roll and NOTHING. no sound. so then I choose the the cakewalk tts with same options and NOTHING. not sure what I am doing wrong. I have recorded on there from my mic. but thats about it. Thx. I appreciate it.

  • @maltcus BUT. If i do a piano roll on a channel that is already there when I create a new session. then it sounds like a piano. but thats about it. im pretty new to sonar. looks very very complicated. thx again.

  • I love how people are using terrible songs to judge how good Fl Studio is.

Have any of you heard of Zircon? Go listen to some of HIS music and then form another opinion of FL Studio. (This comment is not directed at maltcus)

  • @neblixsaber THanks cause I know that you can use Fl to make hot tracks. Its just that most beginners start out with FL and no matter what u use if you are starting out and know nothing about making music its going to sound bad. By the way I am going to checkout Zircon. Thanks for sharing.

  • @maltcus Exactly, but everyone and their grandma thinks they're hot and make crappy beats to sell. And it DOES sell, because people are stupid and realize what REAL music they could be missing out on.

Not saying hip hop beats aren't music, but a lot of people attempting to make them do a bad job.

  • @neblixsaber well that would be for all music type. You think that everyone that attempts house, rock, country or any other genre makes good music. ehhhhkk wrong. I think people just think hip hop is very easy to make and in some cases yes but, there is still work behind getting your sound right. No software nor keyboard can replace hard work.

  • @maltcus I know, I never said all the other genres are good. I'm just saying that FL Studio gets a bad reputation because it is the easiest to get used to for making hip hop/rap patterns. If someone put actual work into the software, you can get some crazy stuff. (example is Zircon)

  • Too much mumbling combined with noisy audio track makes this hopeless.

  • @CrankCase02 are you stupid or you have cum stuck in your ears.

  • @maltcus im pretty sure its both lol

  • Can this software work with digital snake s4000s roland

  • i cant automate the instruments like all the controls etc...any suggestions ?

  • i cant automate each instrument in nuendo...could u pls help me out?

  • Hi what's the best software to play back decent midi sounds..i need something that i can use on my laptop while i'm travelling on trains or sitting in park making music? thanks...

p.s .i will prob use cubase and sibelius to write...

  • how do you get it to remember the sounds, in cubase if you change one of the sounds and reopen the arrangement later, it just goes back to the default sound.

  • @yousurfer2 wish I could help you man I am a sonar user

  • @yousurfer2 this happens to me too! I hate it!

  • hi how do you use edirol vst program - like load it up?

    thanks

  • what DAW or sotware are you loading it into?

  • click channel- then add one- then more. click refresh (the reconmended one) then it should appear in red

  • Perfect my friend perfect. thanks.

  • how to open edirol orchestral in fl studio 9?

  • ditch that, get sonar.

  • You don't understand. This is a plug-in you can use WITH Sonar.

  • @Tapajara that was @ akidar104, talking about fruity loops.

  • @fuhugwagads: Oh. In that case, I agree! A friend of mine has fruity loops and it seems to be limited in the way you enter your music, much like the event view in Sonar/MusicCreator. But the cakewalk products are much more versatile and you can use any one of a number of views for editing music, including scoring which is mostly what I do. But the events view makes it possible to fine tune each note.

  • like every other vst lol. buy your damn software ...

  • where do u get this vst can somone help me please

  • you can not buy this vst anymore you have to get it through a torrent

  • FL Studio>Sample(or any body sapmle)>More...>Refresh(Vst should be moved to folder FL>plugins)>and select Orchestral. End ))

  • HELP ME :D how do i put edirol into fl studio ?

  • thank you

  • with usining edirol on fl studio how do you send the midi out sounds to the mixer board to split it into mixer tracks?

  • youngd2008 you got to click the tiny triangle next to the folder icon, and enable multiple outputs

then go to 'output', on the right and put the instrument you want seperated in track 2, 3 or 4

then if you put edirol in the first slot, the separated instrument will be in the 2nd

  • Nice Job...yo whats the name of that instrumental in the begining...peace

  • When you install the Edirol software, send the directory to you VSt folder.

Open fruity loops, right click on a channel and do a search for it. Once if appears, click on it. Voila, ready to use!

  • how can i save the instruments because every time i start my project i only got the basics instuments

  • let me guess you use FL?

  • well if you scroll down someone explained how you do it. I wish people grow out of FL! Thers so much more to music production then FL

  • yes but thats not my probleme

    i will try another programm

  • I have to disagree somewhat.

Everyone starts somewhere. I started off years and years ago from the ASR to the MPC, to Triton/Mophatt and so forth. I'd have to say...overall, I'd go with FL.

It's a sequencer just as all and everything is in one spot with the convenience of a mouse. It saves space with VSTs, it's cheaper than buying another synth, and you have effects and so forth. My MPC effects board was 200 bucks alone. FL has it free inside. I say, the best is FL.

  • Nothing wrong with using FL. It's come very far and it's becoming one of the big boys. People who talk bad about it usually haven't even used it before. I've been a music producer for 6 years (Professionally) and started with Cubase, but since the switch to FL - I would never go back. Faster, better hotkeys, nicer UI, free updates for life, kind of hard not to notice it.

  • i agree I think that you can do great work in FL. I guess I have gone hardware to create music and Software right now is not going to give u that work flow which means a lot. I have been producing for 8 years and used software only up until a month ago. I now use the Korg M3

  • You guys are so right! I produce too, got Cubase, Fl and Reason, and even Cubase and Reason together dont give me as good results and speed and everything than FL, I wish I didnt buy the other ones. But everyone uses what he likes he best I guess...

  • @61gag61 well everyone acts like FL studio is amateurish and that the strongest DAW is Logic. but dont judge on my videos ha those are old. im not allowed to post originals anymore

  • @VividBoxMedia i just cant seem to get a humanized sound with it. its obvious if someone used FL i think

  • @skimkid13 Obtaining a humanized sound has nothing to do with what DAW you're using. If you can't get a humanized sound out of it, then that's just your inexperience. All DAW's have the same general functions, so being able to "tell" what DAW a track came out of is impossible unless they used the default samples that came with it.

  • @VividBoxMedia They complain about FL cuz it's too easy and they think that if they'll use more complicated programs they will be more "pr0"

  • @Serowy word

  • @Shimmysh4ker What do you mean?

  • No. FL Is Simply The Best Hands-Down. Crank that was made on FL Studio Look How Far It Got.

  • woah dude bad track example lolz i use Fl but when i hear that crank that im ashamed lolz u can do that beat with a Fisher price toy but ehh each one got their own opinion

  • Most sold ringtone ever. That says it all.

  • its just what ever works for u

  • @truegamer4ever but crank that is a shit beat dude. you cant try big up fruity loops by using soulja boy as an example. a better example would be "drop the world" by lil wayne and eminem, that project was started on fruity loops. "beamer benz or bently" another fruity loops project. soulja boy is wack, and thats not me hating, im just stating the facts.

  • @strechmetz FL is not a bad program. You can make hits with it. Me personally I did not like FL. There are somethings I could not do on it that I could with the setup I had at the time. I also did not like the work flow. People say FL sucks because a lot of people who use it suck. Not all but a lot of people who use FL suck.

  • @strechmetz You've missed the whole point of my statement.

  • @strechmetz I agree.. that shit sucked ass. especially the original recording of crank dat. FL is not the best, its a great start though if you are serious about making music. I dont think its a bad program at all. I like its interface for making the beats, but I HIGHLY suggest using a different program do to the mixing. You can get some extraordinary results if used correctly.

  • @IxImCrAzYxI I look at FL as a way to do midi notes and control. The stock sounds suck and you can tell its FL right away. I have heard some good tracks produced in FL using 3rd party VSTs. I used to be really big of software now you could not pay me to use software over my M3 now.

  • @truegamer4ever

Not just that. Boi-1da made crazy dope tracks from it.

    Drake - Forever

    Drake - Replacement Girl

    Drake - Miss Me

Drake - Best I ever Had

    Eminem - I'm not afriad

  • @truegamer4ever Used to use FL and switched to live. Makes it look like a toy. You can't credit a DAW for a hit.

It's still the musician doing the obviously. This is why you don't find every other hit artist crediting better DAW's for their hit tracks.

  • @TheDrSensible U right. young or inexperienced producers learn that overtime

  • @truegamer4ever once you get used to other DAW you find them way more versatile, but there is nothing wrong with FL as a program

  • @truegamer4ever u cant compare crank that to any real music out there dude, get ya mind right, but yea wit the right plugins fruity is great for sequencing, but the stock sounds are shit and we all kno dat. i wouldnt say its the best tho, thats all your opinion.

  • @TheLoganHalsall Yea FL gets a bad rep because people who just start out a lot of the times start out with FL. So its not because of FL. Its the lack of experience.

  • @maltcus fl is what i started with, and i was pissed off wit the stock shit, but with my knowledge of plugins and just music overall, i would be beast with fl studio, but i aint got time, im already on dat logic pro maaaaan.

fruity is the best for gettin out an idea tho i wont lie cauz the browser is perfect

  • First open a midi out and orchestral, then match up the port #'s which are on the top right of both, thenn go to channel on midi out and match it up with the number of the instrument you want to select orchestral, thennn on the midi out adjust the patch # which will cycle through the different instrument on the number you want to select. After you set all that up it should save. Let me know if you need any additional help, Hell let me know if it works too! Peace

  • sry im german and i cant understand what i have to do after i match the patches

  • Anyone have this for FL Studio? I dont know how the fuck to get any instruments below the 1st one in the list to play!!!!! very annoying lol.

  • Comment removed

  • First, you open up Edirol and change "port" in the top right to, say, ten.

Then insert a new MIDIout-channel. Open it up, and make it have the same port as the one you just assigned in Edirol. The MIDIout's "channel"-number will now decide what instrument in Edirol it will play.

  • OK thanks man Ive managed to get the other instruments working now by using MIDI Outs, but do you know why the instrument setup in my Orchestral never saves when I close my project and re-open it? Is there any way to make it save so i dont keep having to change it back everytime?

  • Yes! You go to "system" in Edirol, and choose "save performance". Then you just have to load that file everytime you restart FL.

  • Legend. Thanks man!

  • click the r first the select the instrument but the annnoying part is you have to make sure that thing whare you put the drums and the claps is always in the front

  • have what for FL? Edirol?

  • check out my stuff that i use with edirol

  • Alright, so I am having a problem that a lot of other people seem to be having with this program across the Internet. Whenever I adjust a volume slider, pan knob, etc. it will sometimes reset back to the default position. I can get some tweaks to stay but other times not. It almost seems random to me. What am I missing? I've read the manual several time and I have been surfing the web trying to find the answers I'm looking for, but I have yet to find anything even close. Please, help if you can.

  • Idont really use this program anymore but, I will have to reinstall and do a video. This does seem to be a problem. I really think is how you save it on your seq. I never had this problem on sonar.

  • I use FruityLoops. I know everyone says Sonar is better, which it may be, it's a comfort thing for now. Maybe eventually.

Essentially, I do the same thing your doing here... insert it into the song sync the port and channels to specific MIDIout tracks. That simple.

  • Hi!

Does anyone know why the HQ program asks for the CD every time I open it? Is there a way around this?

    Thanks!

  • not sure have you tried uninstalling and then reinstallin it?

  • i cant save the instruments and have to reload them on all channels everytime i open the plugin. can u help with that??

  • what type of software you using? cubase, sonar, logic, protools, FL cause its not HQ. Its the way you are saving it. Worst come to worst you will have to bounce it down to audio then save it. Try the different formats on saving to see what works. experiment.

  • If your are with vista, try to launch it with administrator right. It should work

  • Thanks for getting back yo me on HQ help! Will check it out! Cheers!

  • Hey! i have this and it sounds great! I wonder if you can help me understand this problem i have..I t seems I have to set up my patches every time i open the program and song I am working on..they can't be saved with the song..have you got around this ? Appreciate it if you would help me out with this..Cheers

  • well i what are you using to seq and make beats? When i save it in Cakewalk soanr it saves patches too. Its no th HQ Orch its the DAW software you are using to make beats

  • I had this same problem. I found the solution though:

You click "system" in the top right hand corner

    Click "file"

Click "save" next to "performance" and save it in the same folder as your song

Then next time you open your project, open Orchestral and click "system" then "load" next to "performance" and it loads all your instruments and settings

    I hope this helps

  • Man does Edirol orchestra have trumpet and stuff so i can make more Jazz style hip hop ? or do i need some other software with those VST instruments pls reply peace

  • yes this software have trumpets.

  • in fl studio ? i don't know how to do it there

    thanxx

  • just same way as u insert other vst s. Install it, run fl studio, right click on any chanel , choose insert, choose browse - find there orchestral and check it (on left side is empty box) , close vst browser and then again right click on any channel , choose insert and u shud have there orchestral now so choose it by left click. Try check videos here on you tube how to insert vst to Fl studio u shud find several videos

  • sorry , I lose on your explication . thanx a lot but i don't understand

  • hey man how do you make grime beats? i seriously need help could you break it down plz

  • wow and thx fam!,

been wantin some help with this1 too.

was that orchestral playin your song outro?

    thx again

  • yea but i slowed it down and made it choppy. I converted it into acid loop and made the slices big to give it a different sound.

  • Bivanski, thanks a lot for the tip on how to save instrument settings. Good man yourself!

  • I got edirol How do i bring up that fing at 4:02

    ??

    reply plz

  • does anybody hav da full version n send it to me or give me da download link?

  • u get to play samples ur self its not just a bunch ;of loops is it

  • no its not a sampler. not its not loops. It is a sound player. this software uses its own type of file for sounds. not wav and its designed only for orchestra sounds. (Edirol HQ Orchestral) who could of guessed it.

  • wat size is thiz vst

  • i don't remember exactly cause i don't use it anymore but its like 50 MB to like 100mb not big at all for today's standard.

  • how can i get this program!!

  • well its kinda hard cause they no longer make this program.

  • i have it for pc get in contact

  • Thank you bivanski for explaining how to save your presets and instruments! saved me having to redo all my instruments everytime I loaded up my project...

    Cheers!

  • easy CHOOZE YOUR INSTRUMENTS Go to SYSTEM BOTTON then to FILE TAB then PERFORMANCE SAVE give name save it. when you reopen project go to same place but on LOAD CHOOZE IT OPEN IT WOILA!
  • i dont use cubase but, maybe its the form in how u savin it. like in sonar I can save it as normal or a bun file. bun files is more design as if i was going to take my file to another studio that has sonar. plus its always good to bounce your tracks to wav. cause beas i made like 5 years ago i dont use the same software as i did then but i still have the wav.s. but check to see if you can save it another way in cubase ans see if that work.

  • do u mean save it as a preset but even if u do that u have to select it if u start a new project. or do u mean is there a bank to save all sounds on each channel have a different sound?

  • When I select the instrument I want and press play, the instrument automatically changes to something else! Do you know what's wrong? ( I'm using FL Studio)

  • i dont use FL but, i am sure if u are changing the sound directly on HQ FL is still set on the default sound(flute) I think u will have to find where u can change the sound on FL and not directly on HQ. hope that helps

  • I have a big problem with mine - I use Mixcraft, cheap I know, and I change the midi channel for each instrument but it doesnt work! I can only ever play the midi channel 1, and its starting to bug me! Help please...

  • hmmmm i never use that program before. I am not sure why it wouldn't work. I know its not much help but, some programs is wierd and not easy to use. You might have to set it up in you options on mixcraft to do multitimber synths. that would be the only reason i can think of why it would work or change the midi channel on the input. really thats the goal and on sonar its easy to do.

  • yeah thanks man. I actually got it to work on Sony Acid 7, so that was all good, so I know how to do that now, and the interface of Sony Acid is a little more streamlined and less busy then Sonar, which i WILL NEVER go near because its just too confusing if you know what i mean.

    thanks anyway!

  • well i used the edirol hq orchestral with cubase but the preset was never saved in a project. that sucks.

  • dahm that y i always bounce down to audio cause just in case that happens. also save the midi so if you find a better sound else where you can use that.

  • Is this program still for sale? I can't find it nowhere.

  • i think its discontinued. i was looking online and i can't find it in any store.

  • wats up. well i wanted to know how did u get the orchestral

  • guitar center. u can get it most any major music store. sam ash, American musical etc... y?

  • decent tutorial! cash and luxury baby

  • Sonar is really underrated, it's a quality program!

  • yes thats sonar 6 sonar 7 is out and its even better!

  • Nice video!

I use Edirol too maybe you can check out my composing and say me how you find it ;)

  • What's the name of the song on the opening title?

  • its a beat i made. you can go to my page. the link is in the about this video to your right

  • COMMENT Cont: list and insert a 'MIDI Out' it will be in the list trust me. then all u have to do is click on the new midi out channel and alter this port number to that of the orchestral (say u have just set it to 2 for expample). then in the left hand corner of MIDI out roll through the channels each will b the different instuments from Orchestral. to use every instrument just open a few MIDI outs etc and set each one to a different channels (Top left of midi out).. ENJOY!:)

  • thank you soooo much, you've been a great help!

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • welcome glad i could help

  • 2 parts to this comment:

HOW TO USE EDIROL ORCHESTRAL IN FL STUDIO..

To use the same fuctions he describes in this tutorial in Fruity Loops (for example to use all the intruments in orchestral without opening loads of the vsts up.) what u have to do is: Set a port number top right of orchestral to say 2. Then go back into ur sequencer and and right click on a channel and roll down to INSERT roll right into the plugin .. Read Next comment -->>

  • fruity loops, fruity loops!!!!!!

  • To be honest, I don't find this helpful, because I use Edirol HQ Orchestral on Fruityloops. It would be nice if someone made a tutorial of Edirol HQ orchestral with Fruityloops

  • i dont use fruity loops and if you tried sonar you wouldn't either.
