  • You gotta give this man props he went down like a fricken man. He never gave up fought to the very end.

  • Once he caught the meat clever in mid-air, I would have been like "Ok fuck it, Im going to die" lol

  • does anybody now the name of the song pls.?

  • @TheDestroyboy Nat King Cole - Unforgettable :D

  • I wounder what would happen if the comedian won?

  • @TheSamiryoussef Hmm....... Probably, Ozymandias would be dead or in prison, and the President would've launched nuclear missiles, resulting total nuclear chaos. In truth, I was rooting for Ozymandias!

  • Eh, I hated the addition of that "It's a joke, it's all a joke" line to the film. It subtracts from the sense that he's being beaten to death that he can manage to spout a nice punchline, when the comic just emphasises how, after he discovers Veidt's plot, he lives the remainder of his life in terror and depression.

  • @dROUFrank While I agree with you on your comment, personally I liked that added line. His world view lived on despite his death. Besides Veidt said later in the comic that he understood before the end.

  • He reminds me of Robert Downy Jr

  • That was a major ass whooping lol

  • Lower the sound of this video not all they way down but almost there. then play another video "MAd World" by gary jules and play this video with the song over it.

  • @ryann45 why on earth would you want to DESTROY the directors vision?

  • @Swoop223 im not destroying it? its not like the music is there forever....u still see the video completly normaly.

  • @ryann45 Nathan King Cole music will live on forever. I'm sorry but i've watched too many good music tracks being completly destroyed by emo fans who feels they have to put mad world or Requiem For A Dream. How I loathe the overusage of Requiem for a dream. This is how the director wanted to scene to play out, visually and musical. I'm not saying this is your intention :)

Do you belive madworld fits this scene?

  • this song makes it so perfect. the song alone is amazing but when paired with this scene, it's utterly heavenly to me. the soundtrack for this movie was just amazing♥

  • The kick of the door , scared the shit out of me when i first seen this.

And than when i seen the comedian stand up and stare him down , i was like " Oh it's go time"

  • very very good film, i love zack snyder :)

  • One of the greatest scenes of the modern films era.

  • Isn't there suppost to be a scare one his right cheek?

  • @buxxi90 There is, and they show how he got it in the film, it's just hard to see.

  • you can be as strong as you want, but if you can't land a hit in the most efficient place to bring something down, be it with a weapon, fist, or if you're Macguyver, a piece of blue tack and 1/2 cm of shoe lace, then you may as well be a big oversized sack of muscle wrapped up in skin. Always was a fan of Ozymandeus in this movie.

  • @Me6847 I don't know, Veidt may have some Bruce Lee prowess going on here.

  • the comedian disliked this

  • Was the comedian aware that someone was coming to kill him or was he surprised to see that dude at the door???

  • @Thenuttyboy24 He knew that someone was coming for him.

  • @Me6847 Yeah you lift weights, so you're a fucking expert on the physical capabilities of the human form. Anyway, a primary point of this fight scene, and the later one where Veidt fights Rorschach and Nite Owl simultaneously, is that they emphasise Veidts massive martial superiority to the other heroes. This is because although it isn't explicitly mentioned in the graphic novel, it's heavily implied that he's genetically enhanced himself.

  • ahhh such a poetic scene. Like a well written poem :P

  • @foXhoWnDeR Sir, I'm from the Department of Redundancy Department and i'd like to applaud you for your comment. In all seriousness though, this really was a beautiful scene.

  • @Me6847 Ozymandias is the strongest mask of them all, Comedian certainly is damn good, stronger than most other masks, except for a few that didn't survive to this time period, but no one was a match for Ozymandias.

  • who killed him?

  • @IraqiDude321

    ozzymandias

  • 240p...we meet again.

  • 2:44 I THREW IT ON THE GROUND

  • It's a good thing he poured out the coffee before he through the cup.

  • i hat that they changed this. In the book the comedian didnt fight back because of his deep depression from adirian's plot. I didnt like that they tried to take a book like watchmen which was philosophy book and turn it into an action movie.

  • Adrian had been training for this fight for years. Of course it was a beatdown.

  • @tj11112222 The comedian beat Ozymandias back at '64 but he was young and Blake was in his prime years now Veidt is in his prime and Blake is old

  • I don't know why I didn't guess it was adrian, the killer is wicked fast.

  • hahaha nat king cole and his daughter

  • and that, kids, is something called CONTRAST!

  • if the comedian had been in shape, and in a better mood state..he would have fought back against ozimandias..damn it i love this movie

  • for some reason i remembered this scene being way more over-the-top than this but whatever still awesome

  • THE COMEDIAN DIES WHILE I PLAY UNFITTING MUSIC

  • While I love this movie and everything about it, I have to admit that "V for Vendetta" speaks to me just that much more. Thumbs up if you agree. And Thank you for the upload, it's greatly appreciated.

  • Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias are my least favorite characters. Both those douches killed

    [Spoiler]

    Rorschach and The Comedian >:{

    [End Spoiler]

  • well at least i get the button design now

  • Hmmi dont understand this character. Comedian actually murdered a woman who was pregnant by him....did he regret the murders? because in one scene he says he regrets the murders but then he justifies it saying that he 'was in war'...how was that an act of war? Also, why did Manhattan stand by when he shot the pregnant lady and why was Manhattan killing innocent vietnamese if he was such a humnaitarian? I dont get it.

  • @ImAmeenLondon

Read the graphic novel. It goes much deeper. The movie does extremely well for only having 2 and half hours, but it just doesnt have the depth that the comic does.

  • @ImAmeenLondon Ozzys plan changed him cus he was deppresed and in terror

  • Looking back at it the comedian actually put up a better fight against Ozy than rorschach and Nite owl did.

  • One of the most brutal fight scenes lol

  • wtf was Osy wearing?

  • 2:36 - 2:39..you kind of feel sorry for him at that time. He looks helpless and worn out

  • i dont get it all the other heroes stay the same look yet the comedian goes from a buff guy to an old guy sitting in a chair that sucks balls

  • @BoONeo well, remember that The Comedian was in the original superhero clan, The MinuteMen..so he was older than the group in The Watchmen

  • @skeetnskidaddle true that but still the scene where hes in the new watchmen and discussed with ozymandias the rest including him look exactly the same thats confusing and silk spectre isnt she like 24 years old what the hell was she doing in that scene then, also i think if the comedian was his young self in his scene ozymandias wouldnt be able to kill him that easily

  • @BoONeo well, yeah he did look young in the scene of their first meet but he was still aout 15 years older than the group and remember, he's Silk Spectre's father. That scene was also before the government outlawed caped, masked heroes. Since then , a lot of time had past. Remember when Comedian and Nite Owl had crowd control duty? You can see him aging in that scene. So by the time he and Ozy were into it, he's much older.

  • I cant help but think......what if the comedian was drinking out of a cheap foam cup instead lol

  • @pricture lol..nice

  • Anyone else noticed tht in this scene, Ozy looks quite taller than the comedian but in the watchmen photo they dont have tht much difference in height?

  • when a super-hero dies in an epic battle...it's like the whole world comes crashing down

  • pornography. the makers of this movie should be shot.

  • i like this part... how he punches through walls and shit but cant lay a finger on em... shit forgot his name... the other guy XD

  • i hate this scene because they kill off the comedian in such a pussy way and make him look weak in the process, i mean for a badass character he shouldve gotten a few punches in there,

  • @nucleardmon Well in case you care: Adrian and the comedian actually fought once and Blake actually one and when Adrain decided to kill him he studied every possible move the comedian could use and that's why he was so easily defeated. Adrain Veidt after is the "smartest man alive"

  • @nucleardmon not a pussy way, notice how fast is ozy ?

  • in my mind the comedian had it coming I mean that bussines in Vietnam with the pregnant woman .....yea asshole deserved it....

  • @hot1cold0 thats the point, he hated himself and knew he deserved to die for the violent life he lead

  • what song is playing when the comedian is getting beat up.

  • @ding66 Unforgettable by Nat King Cole

  • hes killed by the smart guy right . i mean the other smart watchman i dont remember his name

  • I have a smiley tattoo on my foot because of the comedian.

it's is exactly the same as his.

  • My favourite quote of all time.

'Once you realise what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense'

  • Absolutely nothing against Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the legacy-worthy performance he did, but as movies go on through the years and people look back, people begin to wonder how else it could have been. I loved the Comedian (tied with Rorschach as my favorite character), but there's one person and one person alone whom I think could have done a better performance as the Comedian; Adam Carolla, especially after his work in 'The Hammer'

  • never saw the movie. loved the book. Like this a lot

  • @Battleschnodder Watch the movie. It's amazing.

  • @AMMProductions1997 it seems quite so! Im planning to do so soon.

  • @Battleschnodder You should check out the movie...the director's cup. Try not to ana-lize it...just relax and take it for what it's worth...a movie

  • @alisterfolson are you telling me a movie isnt worth to be analized? I strongly disagree.

  • @Battleschnodder No, it should be anal-lized; I'm just requesting that you watch the movie for enjoyment first. Then, go back and fine-tooth-comb-it. XD

  • @alisterfolson i like that idea. Thats what Im going to do. Well, what I have done. Ive seen it yesterday.

  • @Battleschnodder Unfortunately this scene had the best sound ever in a cinema.. it was amazing.. cinema was the best experience ever with this film.

  • The Comedian is by far the best character/anti-hero of all time.

  • They should have done it like in the novel; The Comedian didn't fight back because he was too depressed and didn't understand the world anymore.

I know you'll say ''Well gee, hes the Comedian, he surely put up somekind of a fight'' But when you read the novel, thats what the detectives are implying and they were wrong about everything.

  • @aquanaut145 In those last few minutes of his life, he wasn't a fighter anymore. He was a miserable old man.

  • @aquanaut145 The way I see it, if they make an adaption of anything, be it comic, book or game, they should make it true to the original work but give it enough originality so people won't say "I've already seen/read that, what's so good about seeing it like this?"

  • Comedian is supposed to be 6' 2" but Adrian towers over him, yet the actor who plays him is only 6' 2" as well

  • Like dang, this must be the only scene I ever liked in this movie! What a painful brutal fight I ever seen, so cool!

So sad, how "The Comedian" died. At least, he put up a good fight before he died!

"It's just a matter of time, I suppose"

    Love that Quote!

  • @5harman

Yeah this and Hollis Mason's Death. The cool thing about this movie is that, it isn't the average children's superhero film. Everything in the movie is the way it's supposed to be. There's no 'Comedian Origins' or the 'Rorschach Origins' or any sequels. The info, the flashbacks, and details that are given in this story, are the only ones ever proven.

  • Freakin Epic. Great Scene. Amazin Fight. Spectacular series of shots. Its awesome, thats my point.

  • If anyone else noticed, the cup that smashed into the door knocked off the 1 in 3001, leaving the numbers 300, which is a reference to Snyder's film 300

  • @JellyBellyDeli I noticed that. Easter eggs like that are fun to find.

  • @AMMProductions1997 shame 300 sucked

  • @AMMProductions1997

same with the combination on the Psychiatrists Briefcase during 'The death of new york' scene; Combination shows '300' on the lock

  • @JellyBellyDeli I saw that....didn't catch the '1' as it fell off...I was gonna say, yes, a reference to '300' but the apartment was way higher than 3 floors....thanks

  • At midnight, all the agents and superhuman crew go out and round up everyone who knows more than they do.

  • who was that guy ?

  • @y126e Which one?

  • @AMMProductions1997 the guy who killed the comedian

  • @y126e Ozymandias

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhh comedian rulessssssss

  • it must feel good to fight in a dressing gown

  • "Life is just a fucking joke."

    -Edward Blake, The Comedian-

  • Rorscach's Journal

Tonight, a comedian died in New York....

  • The comedian was one of the heros who stayed tough, even in the later days

  • "It's all a joke..."
