@91101z Joe Perry is slash's idol, in fact, he began to play because of aerosmith, slash uses joe perry style.

I see, now I know, thanks for the info.. And is slash still playing guitar up to this date?? Or is he performing until now... I've watch some of the recent video performances of Guns n Roses and seems he's not with the band anymore ... And that some say he's not with anymore etc... I don't know, well so many rumors but unbelievable since not proven... Pardon my ignorance but well I know nothing about this .

@91101z Slash hasnt been w/ GNR since 1995, he had several bands but the best was the last one, Velvet Revolver but the vocalist, Scott Weiland left and they havent looked for another vocalist, nobody know if the band is over or not.
Slash will release a soloist CD, now in march or april, i dont remember exactly when, w/ colaboration of several artists, even Ozzy Osbourne. Look for the single Sahara, it kicks ass
