@smokinmnpurps i use a katana pro most of the time but ive gone to the back hand throw but i still throw sidearm when i need a right curve cuase im not to good with anhyzer and hyzer yet and i also have been throwing a disc craft Force Z.
i throw sidearm and i just have trouble aiming it distance has never really been a problem just roll when it hits the ground i just started playing a few weeks ago and if there is a certin disc i should be using?
@deezertoss Oh yeah im not the guy in the video but i do side arm only for my shots and i've been playing for about 4 years you defniatly want to get a slower spinning disc around 9-12 speed is you have a fast arm like me your gonna want any where from a 10-12 i like to use a disc called a Bolt it's from latitude and its an understable disc which goes really straight and turns off at the very end just a little bit it doesn't bend off hard right. So if i were you a Valk or any Latitiude disc.
@deezertoss Also don't buy disc that weigh 175G unless you got a crazy pro style monster arm like i said before i have a really strong fast arm like some of the pros have told me they said i shouldn't even be throwing 172G so i went down to a 168G and i've been getting more speed distance alot more distance and more accuracy i also hold the disc like the guy in the video except in keep my two fingers together on the inside of the disc it gives me more control just something you might want to try
Hey i have a question you guys seem to know quite a bit so..... My disc has a really sharp inner edge and it makes my finger like blister ever time after i get done frolfing would it hurt the disc at all if i took a knife and just peeled a bit of that inner edge off so the edge isnt so sharp???
this was really informative, i just learned that i throw side arm better. i just opened a retail store in escondido, ca called SDSF. We got lots of high end plastic!
@joekunedo the band is bodhi sesh. They don't really play anymore but were nice enough to give us permission to use some of their tunes for our videos. They are on myspace but it's not letting me put the link on here but they will be easy to find.

Don't mean to brag but I've only been disc golfing for a year now and my forehand already exceeds all the shots I've just seen consistently. I should make a tutorial video.......... nice attempt though.
umm no, not the case in most players who are FH dominant. i use overstable becuz i get tons of snap and when not throwing ovrstable plastic hyzers and flat shots turn into annys and rollers. So when i want big d i gotta throw overstable cuz big d only comes w/ arm speed and snap. and like i said u cant snap understable to stable discs as hard w/ them wanting to flip. so he is most definitely right especially since he did state he is FH dominant and has excess amounts of snap like most FH players

a lot of pressure on that "fanger"
heber17641 7 months ago
Why split your fingers throwing sidearm.. Can't you get more snap with them together? At least that's the way it is in ultimate...

That first red disc is a Circle Stamp Whippet, isn't it? :)

@sk84life9393 taking a knife might hurt it but taking some light sand paper and sort of rounding wont do much to them

who cares how far you can throw a disc when being accurate and consistant in the sport is way more important.

Nice video... well done. Wish I could throw forehand, but it hurts my arm. (Lotta sadness in this world.) M

I can throw "side arm," but not backhand very well so I know what you mean.

you don't use overstable discs because you get a lot of snap, it's because you roll your wrist and throw with an anhizer.

I know and agree with what you're saying but I was commenting on the guy, not FH players in general. I was stating that HE rolls his wrist

ok gotcha. lol ya i noticed that. he has a weird run up too...
