  • @atlasshrugged2u They sound nothing like the Jackson 5 to me. You must have watched a different version of the group from me.

  • A total knockout. First class. Thanks for vid

  • i love the 80's man!!!!!

  • cant believe how goods that sounds. stands up,

  • This took me way back to a time when things were so simple..God I miss the 80's :(

  • The song sounds familiar, but I just do not remember this group? Maybe because they were in the UK?

  • OMG! I use to LOVE New York Hot Tracks with Carlos DeJesus. Friday nights and Saturday nights.

  • geez. the lead has braces!

  • i miss this type of music...i was in love with the lead when i was 12!

  • great group..

  • this was the shit way back.. luv it still! classics r the best.... goodtimes!

  • i wasnt born in the 8O's but i wishh i was sometimes . iLovee their outfitsss =D

  • @SayHelloToBritt I was born in the 70s. Lucky me. You have no idea what you missed out on.

  • @SayHelloToBritt take it from me it was a good decade to grow up in, the music, the fashion, the attitude...speaking from a New York perspective at that time there were no reality shows on tv, no wars, very joyous time for me

  • @SayHelloToBritt hahaha i know but hey check this at least you can say hey i do like this music so take for what it worth

  • This is a great beat, but she's not doing all that well with the song. Michael would have tore this up! I love Five Star though.

  • These folks were so fake back in the '80's . They tried to be the jackson 5.

  • @jerricette with three girls and not playing an instrument? lol

  • @jerricette Everybody was imitating the Jacksons in the 80s.

  • @TheTallMan35 The only thing they had in common with the Jacksons was that they were talented black siblings in a music group.

  • @Picture111 Uhm no...they sound just like Michael and his brothers when they were "The Jackson 5" I mean its so obvious LOL!!

But they still sound good don't get me wrong.

  • This is the same singer as in Wonder Women...Denise Pearson...the FIVE STAR..U.K's sensational singer in the 80s.

  • Why does it always have to degenerate to a skin tone with you people ? Can we just enjoy the music without hearing about who is mulatto and who thinks the gods hates them for being a little dark ?

  • Same bone structure as the Jacksons..LOL ok.

  • Those were the days. Loved Five Star. I bet Denise wishes they'd made this video when she wasn't wearing a brace though!

  • @aisey100 She still cute with them

  • When I see them dance, I see some Jackson elements. Love this group.

  • love the braces. todays performers wouldnt dare wear them.

  • @joebellard What? Estelle was rocking braces for about a year at least!

  • still love this video

  • they were the English Jackson 5 of the 80's

  • shit I can't believe I remember this

  • STFU, ajs41.

  • @funkbrother2I6 you are so right!!!!!

  • You've posted your rubbish on all their videos. Twat!

  • It's not rubbish - it's a fact which Lorraine mentions on a video she appears in on YouTube.

  • No need to get mad at this person, just doesnt know any better Best way to fight stupidity is with education. With that, wouldnt you say Janet Jackson (and brothers), Beyonce (Kelly and Michelle too) , the group TLC, Whitney Houseton, Tyra Banks, Iman, Naomi Cambell, Beverly Johnson, Tyson Beckford Will and Jada Smith and lets not forget Denzil Washington to name a few. I could go on and on, from Eartha Kitt and Josephine Baker to Rhianna today. 1850 called, they want you back. lol

  • im NOT mixed!!! and I look similar to five star girls.

    SO THERE GOES your theory!!!!!!!!!

  • guess what....your mixed

  • im NOT!!!! Five star actually looks more african then anything else. I have seen Africans who look like them.

  • @ajs41 um..im not mixed and people always tell me im attractive and should model

  • @ajs41 yeah we own lol

  • @ajs41 wow ur an assssss whole-.-

  • hey were you go ?

  • The lead singer is cute lol, nice track!

  • Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember watching this when I was visiting my father in NYC...I was in the 5th grade and I use to know all the words. Sweet memories. Wonder where they are now?

  • everytime i play this cut, i back in 1985....8th grade, and watching the cosby sho0w o0n thursday nights!!! makes me wanna bust out my coldest b-boy moves on the dance floor!!

  • Why do some folks here think they are copying Jackson 5. This group are original and the best at what they do for real. If thta was to be true, which it aint, the Jackson 5 and Michael Copied people too; from James Brown, Jeffrey Daniels etc. Get ya facts right-

  • thier goooooooood

  • they have the same bone st\ructure as the jacksons.

  • Comment removed

  • @SexyAzzHell93 they were regarded as the british jackons ;-)

  • They look so much like the Jacksons omg and their style was so much the same love them.

  • The oldest bro. Stedman looked a lot like Michael. Someone said they, Doris or Deniece has a page on Facebook.

  • My boys use to clown me back in '85 cause I had a crush on Denise (lead singer).

  • Wow...Now this is a definite throwback. Dang, I feel old...*LOL*

  • i love five star

  • I do recall this group 5-Star Denice,Delroy,Lorrian,Stedman and Doris one the eighties group.

  • so what if they using some of mjs moves

  • what a nice looking family and very talented i so loved this song i see a lot of michael jackson's moves

  • i still love their songs, there simple but nice a still sounds nice, early r & b and lady soul, wonder what they look like now

  • Are there a few Michael Jackson moves in there? He influenced decades of performers.

  • I loved them. I wonder what they're up to now!!!!

  • class!! loved 5 star

  • OMG! I saw this vido on VH1 Classic like two yeaars ago and i couldn't remeber the group name. Thanks for this post, i was like 7 when this came out.

  • I was 5 y.o. when I saw this vid and I loved the girls sweaters. Five Star wasnt big enough b/c Janet blew up in 86 and then MJ in 87...They mimiced Jacksons in a good way tho

  • Michael skyrocketed the charts before 1987. You're way behind the program.

  • I know that he was HUG with Thriller way b4 in 82, but I'm referring to when I was little and when Five Star was popular here in NYC...MJ blew up again in 87 with BAD, so Five Star had no chance of being big in the states. That is what I meant. thanks tho

  • I used to Looove them!!! Especially the lead singer.. Cheyney University, up in the dorms brothers & sisters from NY & North Jersey used to have tapes of music box... We used to debate "R they Puerto Ricans, Cubans?" (LOL) I believe they were Jamaica West Indians living in London.. Back then going to England was eveyones dreams (LOL) We thought that all of their girls looked like that... Ha Haaa

  • @billyjacc The are Black British, born and raised in England to Jamaican immigrant parents. Dad is Black and Mum of Indian and Black descent.

  • omg i forgot all about them i used to like there moves

  • Man, I forgot about this song...but dam....but happen to this group?

  • These moves are sick!

  • dude looks like a young michael jackson cute girls i wonder how they look now

  • She's still doing her singing thing and has a myspace page. Still beautiful

  • Oh my God....I'm so consumed by the memories of this video. I thought my perfect girl friend had all of the lead singer's qualities. I was so infatuated with Denise Pearson.

  • OMG me too!

  • As much as I love this song and loved it when I was a kid and yes, I have it on my iTunes... I have never seen this video. Cool!!

  • Wow....really? Do you remember "Friday Night Videos"? or Night Tracks?

    I loved this song too.

  • ..hell YES! i remember both Friday Night Vids & Night Tracks.. i'm glad someone else does, cuz people look at me ike i'm crazy! That was back when M-TV wasnt everywhere or on all day like it is now. Thats when we got into the Brit-Sound of the 80's... my joint was "Our Hose" by Madness..

  • me2.....

    Men without hats...those dudes .......

  • @stewxl Friday Night Videos and Night Tracks were all we had back in the early -mid 80's, yall remember The Cookie Crew? just so many old school acts...just on an old school trip and ran across this, thanx for uploading it, takes me back, I used to think Joe Jackson had some British kids he wouldn't take care of,lol!

  • Micheal Jackson's British cousins, that's how much influence he had on the record industry back in the eighties and late seventies.

  • Ole girl look like a broke ass janet jackson

  • fuck you

  • eff u asshole Black Brit in the HOUUUUSSSSSSE

  • My God! I haven't seen this since the eighties, this particular video was often played on Music Box and SkyTrax! I liked them a lot back then, especially their clothes... :D

  • Nick martinelli who did alot of production for the earlier loose ends stuff, also produced alot of music for Five Star as well.

This track kinda sounds like one of his.

  • it's the "janet jackson" version of Beat It! Check out the moves and the facial expressions...they betta go head! lol

  • thats what I thought. I was like 4 or 5 when this was out. I use to think she was pretty, but I didn't like the hair. lol

  • I honestly don't remember this. But then again, I didn't start watching music videos til I was 6...so...yah, I mised this one. Then again, I could have heard it on the radio....if they played it on the radio. it's easy to say it sounds like I've heard it before but honestly it's got the 80's sound so it's hard to say that.

  • Really? I remember seeing this vid on a New York video show call "VIDEO MUSIC BOX", and I liked the dances.

  • Yah, I didn't start watching Video Music Box until I was five (85).. I don'r remember this at all. I saw an interview on here with Janet Jackson and she said in 87 that she likes Five Star.

  • the special effects..rofl, but so cool and retro

    mid 80s like

  • For major exclusive and latest news on Five Star, please check out Five Star Official myspace.

  • The epitome of great 80's R & B music. This song and group reminds me of when I was wide-eyed and still idealistic as a teen-ager. The music back then was mostly positive, free-spirited, and fun-loving. Unlike most of the music today.

  • i totally agree. i get a little sad when i see and hear cool music like this.

i still wished i was back in high school hanging out with my great group of friends.

what a bittersweetl time it was!

  • Classic! lol

  • they featured in my first wet dream...

  • they were beautiful.. and the times were beautiful.

    this band made me happy.

  • OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me wonna cry - how beautiful life used to be back then!

  • 5 star in yo face!

  • This was the JAM! I consider them more in line with Debarge IMO, they were great though oh those memories:-)

  • Love the song and love the outfits. Such an uplifting tune

  • they were beautiful.......the uk version of the jackson5

  • How old were they when they made this video?

  • about ages 15-21.

  • this was one of my favorite groups back in the days thank u for keeping there music around

  • they SO jammed! You couldn't get this kinda sound & style back then. (I'm seriously doubting they were thinking of the J5 @ the time - in 85? even the J5 weren't the J5 anymore. ) They sounded FRESH and they were adorable!!

  • Takes me back. I never knew they were British.

  • This is my shit too, even though I see they're 'swag jackin" the J5.

  • this was my shit!!
