What difference does that make, it is the same as saying Theres probably no God, which is the same as saying, actually, the truth is we have no idea that there is no God but we are quite prepared to take a leap of faith on the matter when we die. I like the way she says "When we die we will be at peace; at rest", ie there is life after death. I made a vid about it, come and see. Ariane agrees with the Bible on this.

Man, I just like to take an interest in people I meet and share moments of warmth and friendship, find common ground we share and do my best to be concerned about the welfare of other humans around me. But then someone brings religion up and it drives a big fat wedge between us and suddenly we're arguing about our differences instead of laughing about the common joys, pains and experiences we've most likely both encountered. I think Jesus was a fantastic man, I just don't believe in religion.

How can one say that Jesus was real? The gospels exhibit contradiction, exaggeration, and embellishment. These are signs of uncertainty and insecurity. They had little faith in him, which is WHY they created a faith for him.

the bible is one of few scroptures that records the idea of jesus, of all the scholars you would think more than that would mention him.

:-) I'm not sure what you're referring to but there are several antiquated sources which discuss Jesus. Josephus, Tacitus, Seutonios, Pliny the Younger, The Jewish Talmud amongst others. :-)

I very much doubt humanity would be destroyed if it stoppped believing in god. It is important not to view atheists as immoral criminals with no sense of right and wrong.

Besides, if we were to take the bible literally, we would kill people who divorced.

That would be a bad thing of sociaty to do.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that atheists are immoral criminals, just that they have nothing on which to ground their morality.

I would probably say that if we misread the Bible we would kill people who divorced. Otherwise, why aren't Christians killing divorcees? There must be a reason other than the notion that the Bible is cherry picked. :-D

1. did you know that Nero was putting Christians in wax and then burning them at parties? These victims could have rescued themselves, if they had denied Jesus.

2.Are you as strong as Jesus who commited himself knowingly into the arms of long and slow torturing?

3.Compare your thinking with ppl like CS Lewis, Einstein and those "unpopular" scientists.

4.Jesus (or the new Testament) did not create religion but an eternal relationship and forgiveness. Its a private matter between you and HIM.

I love that the add says, "there's probably no God.." If you don't believe in God then why would you say "probably" and that they try to bring about a sense of peace by saying "stop worrying." I'm quite sure that worrying will not stop if you suddenly claim to not believe in God...

I think many atheists use the term probably because they would not claim to have all the knowledge in the world. However, it often doesn't come across like that :)
