So habe ich Dich, Woody, gestern Abend in Köln erlebt: lebendig in einer Gruppe freudig erregter älterer Herrn, mit unglaublicher Musizierfreude! Vielen Dank!
@Headless425 While I admire Allen, that's a bit over the top. He's good, I like his playing and most of his movies, and he was a very very funny stand up comic once upon a time. But hardly the Armstrong of the Clarinet.
woody happens to be a highly accomplished musician, comic actor, film-maker, and writier. The haters are jealous ans many of them just don't like Jews. Woody is a funny brilliant guy who is utterly harmless and endearing imo.
I like his movies, I like his music and I don't care what kind a man he is. The art and the artist doesn't concidence... The artist will die eventually, but his art remains...
Thankfully Woody is out there playing in the authentic New Orleans clarinet genre of George Lewis so that it will continue. Myself, as an unknown clarinetist who also replicates George Lewis, I haven't had much luck in trying to bring back the Bunk Johnson sound here in Utah. I hope Woody keeps up the great work and wish his band all the best luck. Dr. Lloyd 'Doc' Miller
Actually, his wife was never his adopted daughter. She was the adopted daughter of Woody's girlfriend. I don't see what everyone was complaining about, he *married* her, which is more than can be said for most of all his other relationships. In making a big mess he managed to get it right. God bless them, I say.
You are right victorcornet----he never adopted or was even her father in any sense. That was Mia Farrow's daughter and she is the one who was all upset because of the situation and of course created an upheavel media blitz.

Good thing they're in Belgium playing this one. The way things are here with people
getting arrested just for having anti-Obama signs on their car they'd probably hang Allen for playing "Jungle Town"!

Az Annie Hall-ban mondta: "Nem félek az öregedéstől, majd én is olyan virulens öreg úr leszek aki a legyet is röptében...."
Így is lett, jó volt a koncert!
