  • Wow, your style is alot of Chet Atkins with a dash of Eric clapton acoustic. That's how i wish i could play,i was born and raised in Westerly RI where the guild plant was until it was bought out, this video and the christmas compilation is off the chart. I have a couple of ideas for new material for someone who plays like that,a song by the dillard's called lonesome indian, and a song by sweet honey in the rock called patchwork quilt. you must have used a good mic for these recordings. very nice.

  • He's playing D~55 Guild,,,,,,,,, I have a DCE~5 Guild And i love it,, Just wish i could make my Guild sing like Frostymorn makes his sing..!!! Nice pick'in Frosty...!

  • I don't know why , but i felt happy after watching this .

Anyways , very nice sound and playing . thanks for this vid .

  • As with all of them... grand playing, sir. I so DO like this channel. The dog has you well trained; a cat wouldn't wait ;o)

  • i was wondering where i can learn to play that first song like you, its absolutely amazing

  • d(>_< )Good!!

  • I like the part from 0:00 to 2:04

  • Absolutley fantastic stuff, makes me sad there aren't more people playing real music, something with actual soul and emotion.

  • Good song. Good dog.

  • Very nice music and guitar playing.

  • hahaha the dog!:)

  • lovely playing..

  • Damn man that sounds beautiful... I'd prefer that guitar above some beautiful girls :P

  • I have done many ABs in the studio between different acoustic guitars and a lot of the time The Guild won the battle!

  • Loved it! My dog does the same thing when he wants my attention, only resting his head on my anesthesia textbooks! Very nice songs--thanks for sharing!

  • Beautifully done! Great sounding guitar too!

  • very nicely done sir.what year is the guitar.. i sold my 1970 martin d35 acouple of years ago and just sold my 68 j200. im looking for another guitar. good luck to you.

  • Dropping the ball at your feet was a huge hint. haha Wonderful playing. Wayfaring Stranger is one of my all time favourite songs.

  • The name of the second tune is "Napoleon Crossing the Rhine." Great picking!

  • Very nice arrangement and beautiful sound. Would you please tell me which model guitar it is you are playing?

    Thank you.

  • Guild D-55, made in Tacoma, WA in 2008.

  • Just noise to the puppy?

  • I love the dogs song and rythmes with the ball

  • Brilliant ! The dog adds a little humor to the vid .

  • Excellent

  • how much u payed for the guitar???

  • It's a guild D55 They around $2100 new but you can find the good old models on Ebay sometimes for around $1100 to $1400 Tone on the D55 is totally awesome and always has been.

  • You are so right!!!!! Great guitar. Stunning to look at.. Awesome sound,There is just something so special about the Guild D55s, Heck, they even smell pretty.

  • @goneoverboard2 Your right. It's the most underestimated guitar out there. Everyone thinks Taylor, Martin & Gibson and totally overlook the Guild D55. Until they "hear" one then things change..8) Ebony fret boards are very nice too.

  • Great playing and tone. Sweet dog as well.

  • Beautiful instrument, beautifully played. I'd love to hear you do the rest of Wayfarer though.

  • The second tune is "Bonaparte Crossing the Rockies". I suspect that this name might be more modern than the tune is.

  • i've never heard so beautyful sound on acousctic

great job man and nice dog

  • Wow, sounds great!

  • Good singing puppy.

  • Loverly!

  • Whomever wrote the comment about you getting commisions from Guild is right on target. Love your music and your dog.

Where can I get the tabs to the music?

  • no clue why the dog is so upset about your guitar playing, lol, some just don't appreciate their master's talents.. :)

  • This video warms the heart.

  • hi, i love this video. can you please tell me what type of video camera you used to record this. including the brand and model. pls. thks

  • Do you have any of your music on CD? I'd really love to buy one...

  • hello

    What colour is that?

iced tea burst or antique burst?

anyway, thanks for your great guitar and beautiful playing!

  • It's the ice tea burst

  • 5*

Wayfaring stranger is one of my all time favorite songs and this is an outstanding arrangement. I first heard it on your soundclick page where you were playing it on a 1990 Gibson J45. I've been trying to learn your arrangement from listening. If you have or know where to get tabs for this, I would be really greatful if you could let me know.

  • Sounds fantastic. I love it !

  • ur dog is awesome

  • Beautiful awesome sounding guitar being well played! Guild should pay you promotional fees.

I was in the market for a Martin D28,After seeing this video - I played - and Ordered a brand new Guild D55 in Iced Tea Burst.

    Keep on pickin'

  • D55 will smoke a D28. Most excellent choice.

  • That was great man!

  • I really love that second tune :) so good!

Your video inspires me to give my "guitar career" a different direction... Do you have some guitar tabs for that song?

  • Nice playing and nice doggy!

  • Hahahaha, what a silly dog :)

And what a great guitar! Sounds great, man!

  • That Guild D55 sounds better than alot of 4 to 6 thousand dollar martins and old gibsons I've heard.

  • great sound. Good stuff; good guitar.

  • great sound (the guitar) not the dog!!!!!!!

    Very good vid

  • PayPal ya 10 bucks for the tabs!

  • Great pickin

  • Reminds me of the dog staring into the Victrola only a different kind of sound hole here.

  • very nice video :-)

  • what type of dog is it ?

  • As tlauer points out, an impatient dog! She is a mixed breed - a good friend who reminds me to go outside and play every day.
