  • Howard Keel first appeared on dallas at end of season 4, but did not get any opening theme credit til the 1984-85 season #8

  • Linda Gray, Steve Kanaly and Ken Kerchival all began in Dallas season 1(Mini series) but no opening theme credit...Linda and Ken were added in season 2,while Ken was added in season 3

  • Why wasn't Linda Gray in the opening titles of season 1? What a beautiful woman it was (and is for that matter). She also had the best part in the series: a stunning alcoholic with the most villainous lines in season 1,2 and 3. Such a pitty she gave up the booze...

  • @Pathecomedy It was the Miniseries (which debuted midway through the 1977-78 season). her credits appeared in Season 2.

  • Season 2, full episodes would really be great. I can't find them.

  • It sounds very disco driven in one of the first seasons' themes, but it had a funky groove to it. Sounds like Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees did this version.

  • true, but its done by Jerold Immel, he composed 13 variations of the theme, each year had a different trendy sound as the times in music changed he added a little taste to it.

  • jesus does Bobby look fat in this opening!!!!!!
