honestly, we're not altogether sure how this one got here... just came out on its own.
The mandolin is labeled 'Stella' - has fancy purfling and what look like celluloid inlaid flowers on the pickguard. I have a couple other Stella bowl-backs, but they're nowhere near as fancy or well built as this one.
"stella" mandolins have their own following - also american made - but sam will know that from the "bowlbacks of note" thread in the "classical, etc." section at the mandolin cafe.
Thanks, man - it was more fun than anything else... in retrospect, I think it's too short - is that immodest? Don't mean to be, but I do kinda like this one... love the fiddle & mandolin... woohoo!
This is a really good song and a lot of other stuff makes sense now - bob dylan -> highway 61

You folks give the most real sound and feeling of the music you play of anyone I've heard in sooo long. Can't get enough of it.......

The fancy Stella actually belongs to me, but I'm happy to have Sam play it when he's around, dog-gone him.
I dig Stellas, but the Galianos are the really nice ones...

When the train gets a-rolling no one wants to get off. And why should they?
