  • Your mufflers are fucking stupid

  • Cold start

  • Nice. Im actually looking into getting one of these myself. Good cars.

  • So how hard is it to buy and run one of these if you're a nearly broke college student? I'm leaning towards one of these because I hear wankels are bulletproof when you love them and I don't really want to drive a shitbox.

  • Weedeater

  • All RX7 the FC models do that warm up test?

  • ummmm not to be a dick but prewarming takes longer then 30 seconds... usually takes from 2 - 5 minutes... just throwing that out there.

  • yea rx7 cant be rice...but that exhaust seems kinda riced out 2me....thats like a cheap autopart exhaust && i 2nd that dnt rev a rx7 when cold let it warm up (choke) lol

  • Sounds healthy, now go race

  • What brand is the exhaust? You know the exact model?

  • plz take ur homo trolling elsewhere

  • an rx7 cant be rice, it isnt built for getting good gas mileage like a honda, its built to go places quickly.

  • i wish mine looked, and ran like that.. but thats what money and good old hardwork is for =D

    owner of a 90 n/a RX-7

  • i'm actually about to purchase my own FC, so this gives me a good idea of what sounds i need to look for. thanks alot, dude!

  • No Problem! If you take care if them, they're pretty reliable. I drove this one from San Diego to Austin and back without a glitch.

  • please...do NOT rev a rotary engine when it is cold. the apex seals might break off, if it is revved high when cold

  • Coolant seals are what you worry about, not apex seals.

  • Hmmm my GSL-SE starts and idles at around 600rpm. Problem? I always give it a few mins to warm up before setting off.

  • i think the manuel says 750 plus or minus 25

  • damn. looks and sounds great. u should see what a daily driven one that goes through minnesota winters looks like... i dont even feel like washing it cause winter here is like 10 months lol

  • haha washed my car for the first time since like last june yesterday because it got up to like 40 degrees. but after driving my talon for like 10 minutes salt was all over it again. minnesota winters are too long, and they use too much salt. haha but its NEVER too cold

  • Nice sounding car. Do you still have the cat or was it replaced with a presilencer? Also, what mufflers are you using? Thanks

  • Nice vids cocksmoke. Start an account just to hate? Grow up.

  • @zack7787 and our lawn mowers eat the shit out of your trash muscle around any road course. My '87 FC has four piston calipers stock. When did that become a standard item on an american car... oh wait, still hasnt happened yet.

  • I think it takes longer than 1-2 minutes to properly warm a rotary engine (just idling). To be safe, its warm when the water temp shows to be at normal operating temperature. Warming it up isn't just to lubricate the seals, but there are several different metals used in the engine and they all expand at different rates. Revving it up can cause a lot of wear when moving parts aren't in spec.

Nice exhaust note btw. what kind of mufflers are those?

  • i was wondering, what exhaust is that on your rx7. it sounds very nice.

  • Awesome video, I wanted to exactly hear the difference between a rotary and a piston engine. Awesome description, this is coming from someone that doesn't know much about cars.

  • Reading the comments, why don't you want to Rev a cold Rotary engine? What happens if you did? How much time is required for it to warm up?

  • 1 or 2 minutes. when you hear the RPM drops ,after a few seconds of idling, the car is more at operating temperature.

its to give proper time for the 2 rotors to get lubricated properly.

  • that sounds good man

  • nice, and yep exactly how a rotary should properly warm up.. I love watchin rotary example vids, even if i already know what its explaining. its nice to listen to other 7's to reassure myself that mine are running properly

  • Idiot, hardly. Had you asked, I actually pre-warmed the car for about 30 seconds prior to recording the video. Thanks for the insult.

  • @AMExile If you had let it warm up then it would have not ran up to 3k for the first 20 seconds...

  • Read the description. Idiot.

  • @crzieP shutdown! :L

  • your rx sounds very nice, and working properly, it's doing what it's suppose to do when cold. but don't rev it up while cold. it's bad for the engine. Nice RX.

  • is it me, or does this car rev high?

  • you obviously no nothing about rotors

  • hahah sry mahng but what a nOOb!

  • you know wat, ur rite...

i'm a honda guy and i don't know anything bout rotors

but, it does sound good gotta give u that

  • at least you're honest.

  • nice m8 nice im a big big fan of mazdas
