actually, before 1918, karabakh was part of the russian oblast of Elizabethpol. before that, it was a turkmen khanate (yes)..and before that it was an arab sultanate etc...just because one empire conquers a land does not make them ethnically attached the the region. 2) modern azerbaijan is now partially on top of ancient caucasian albania but that does not mean you share her history. and 3) yes, part of karabakh were conquered by aghvank kings, but...that was in 100 BC and most churches

look, the reality, is that it doesn't matter if ilham aliyev, or azerbaijan, or russia, or the USA, or the whole world doesn't recognise artsakh, but the reality is that you can pretend its in your country, but if you try to go to stepanakert from ganja, you will probablybe shot at. if you manage to make it you will see that there is no azeri flag, that people don't speak azeri with eachother, and that not one law passed in baku is ratified in artsakh, so you can draw it in your maps if you want

@hosank because of armenian and russian troups Azeri speaking people has moved out from their ancient TERITORIES , from Karabagh. that s why there are no Azerbaijanian in these teritories. in fact, you can also put Mars, and Venus in your maps, but that does not mean that its yours. and FYI: karabakh does not use the azeri domain name, does not use azeri telephone code, currency, banking system, and though international organisations don't recognise karabakh as indepdendent, almost every telephone company, internet provider, banking system, will always put karabakh as seperate from azerbaijan.

in exact same scenario that Armenians wanted their independence in Turkey around world war 1. In other scenario that Armenia captured other regions of Azerbaijan on the side of Karabakh and still has its army there.

with the armenian SSR) which leads to the second point: because of stalin's borders, karabakh itself could not hold strategically. officially, karabakh has no claim to most of those lands, but till a settlement is reached, those lands are vital to our survival..

Those Armenians in Karabakh are more than welcome to live there but when it comes to what they want.... a lot of people want a lot of stuff... there are terrorist groups want to kill everybody and be governed by Osama... so "just let them???"
When it comes to problems I dont blame the Armenian society. I have Armenian friends and they are really cool. Your problem is your lobby ruling the country from elsewhere who are really rich people and not caring about the situation in Armenia.

People are starving in Armenia, corruption is crazy but all they (armenian diaspora) care about is blaming Turkey. For years they have been blaming Turkey for not opening borders and now when Turkey is saying OK lets open them up, all of a sudden Armenian diaspora is agains it??? The only way of fixing problems is being honest. First with yourselves and then with others. Using bad words, ignoring public rules only shows how uneducated we are and how far away we are from coming to a solution.
