Brighton peregrines - Female Peregrine Attacks Male Intruder

The female and her partner took over this nest at the beginning of the season. The male who got attacked had used this nest box for several years and raised several chicks.

He was found injured a few weeks before this video was taken. After being rehabilitated he headed straight back to his former nest site and got attacked which is when this video was from.

Wow that's amazing! Did this female already have a male partner? That's the only reason I can assume she was so hostile to this male. She is so much bigger than him making it an unfair fight. Poor guy. I was concerned she was going to put out one of his eyes when she had her talons embedded in his face. Was this the end of the fight or did it continue later? They seemed ready to carry out this fight to the death of one.

Incredibly....to bad for the feathers , they are such nice looking birds!

If she wanted , she could kill the male?!
