About the chest beating, I wonder if all shias do that or if it's mostly in Middle East? Does anybody know anything about say shias in India? China? Peru? etc. I know for example that people in the Gulf as well as shias in Turkey do it but it looks/sounds different, different tempo and different pose, which makes it interesting, because I've heard that shias in, say, Bahrain, usually go with latmiyas with a fast beat, whilst in Iraq the pace is slow. It's really interesting to know more about it

@Satori89 you will see it where ever there are a lot of shias, but based on culture and language, the style/tempo will differ. Besides the middle east, in India, America, London, etc. they have large processions in the streets, however the crowds in India are by the thousands compared to western countries because there are more shias there. In Saudi you are not allowed to do it because they are very anti shia over there.

@JAFFERSH well there is an explanation in the videoclip description ^^ and I'm actually a shiamuslim myself so I do understand why :) But I wanted to know how spreaded chest beating was from a cultural perspective too, since I don't know much about other cultures. Thanx for asking though!
