One of the greatest Russian composers, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, wrote a composition called "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy". Fiction ,Science-fiction, and fantasy are sub catagories with differences. I never said anything about fiction. I sometimes like fiction based in reality since its not so childish are scary monsters and midgets. Yes I comptletly agree, but some people imagine childish things, and some people don't.

I have backed up my argument. Sining about kids stories - Lord of the rings - Is not metal for the reasons I have mentioned. Go listen to deicide if you love fantasy boogy men. Peter pan is also fantasy, for kids, like lord of the rings is. A band devoting them selves to one kids concept is not metal.

I never said that, you did. I think singing a song about peter pan is just as childish as haveing a band devoted to it. I have read it. it's boring. If you are interested in it because of the story behind it, then why not just be interested in the story behind it. I would rather read about entertaining stories of things that really happened. #1 - The Lord of the Rings is not a children's story. I was never meant to be that. Calling it a child's story because it has trolls and elves is like calling Norse Mythology for children, because Norse Mythology, like many mythologies, has mythical characters (much of the inspiration LOTR came from Norse Mythology) Based off that, then most bands would be singing about "kids stories" by your logic, because many bands write about mythology.

I have backed up my argument. Sining about kids stories - Lord of the rings - Is not metal for the reasons I have mentioned. Go listen to deicide if you love fantasy boogy men. Peter pan is also fantasy, for kids, like lord of the rings is. A band devoting them selves to one kids concept is not metal.

Oh so if a band sings a song about "We Must Join With Sauron!" it isn't childish but if a band using a work of fiction for all their music it is? That's contradictory. And you keep calling LOTR Childish which means you've clearly NEVER read it. It's a work that draws directly from anglo and nordic sagas/myth, and despite your whining about it being childish-it has probably influenced the lyric of more bands than any other writer. Try reading it before you call it childish. And secondly-

I never said that, you did. I think singing a song about peter pan is just as childish as haveing a band devoted to it. I have read it. it's boring. If you are interested in it because of the story behind it, then why not just be interested in the story behind it. I would rather read about entertaining stories of things that really happened. I for the third time now, am saying I understand some fantasy is used in heavy metal music. I also said, it is not all they do, and that is the difference.

#1 - The Lord of the Rings is not a children's story. I was never meant to be that. Calling it a child's story because it has trolls and elves is like calling Norse Mythology for children, because Norse Mythology, like many mythologies, has mythical characters (much of the inspiration LOTR came from Norse Mythology) Based off that, then most bands would be singing about "kids stories" by your logic, because many bands write about mythology.

Most of the popular things today including films and book is based on norse mythology.. its more common than the greek

@VuckingIdiotPerson wrong. he wrote the hobbit for his kids, then spent 30+ years writing lotr.
i presume his kids were a little too old for childrens stories by then.
