1st: I'm 31, so stfu up calling me teenager

2nd: I'm excited by the music, not by LotR

    3rd: You're stupid as fuck

  • RatioFarmerin = epitome of teenage angst and Orc dick worship.

  • In my opinion ''Land of the dead'' is their best song.

  • 6:05 EPIC !

  • @xDarkShin

    Epic fucking epic!

  • Beautiful artwork :)

  • So many years... this melody stays with me. :)

  • Sonidos aplastantes y densos, armonias y mezclas de gran manufactura...

  • The sound of perseverance.

  • @mao2se Good album

  • i don't like black metal but i realy like this band they have something special about their music

  • Summoning are the best soundtrack for DRAGON AGE : Origins!

    ;-)

    Hail to the Austrian Masters!!

  • Best Combination = LOTRO and Summoning Together! =)

  • seriously behemoth doesnt qualify?? i love those guys :P anyways im aware of gorgoroth and morgul, theyre in my top ten..... but then tolkien is an inspiration to many people..... even in literature christopher paolini keeps deriving his matter from tolkien and robert jordan.....

  • William Wallace!!!!

this song would be great soundtrack for braveheart

  • ESPECTACULAR

  • una delle mie preferite

  • @iznobest dude im talking about the christian definition of satanic. at least in my country, christians consider anything, well, not christian satanic. especially hinduism. as far as i can hear, summoning has tolkienesque elements to it, not pagan.... i doubt they shud b called black.... maybe tolkien metal, but not black.... and just to be clear, i have nothing against black metal myself, i adore it..... esp behemoth....

  • @sundarkssh

Where on Earth is everything non-christian considered as satanic?

  • @MorbidAngelOfSorrow sadly just about everywhere

  • @RuralTowner

    Not where I live

  • @sundarkssh so... your saying that to be black metal you have to be satanic or pagan???

summoning is 100% black metal or atmospheric black metal

  • @sundarkssh Clearly you haven't heard J.R.R.Tolkeins work, is a favorite among many black metal bands, in terms of lyrical subject matter. He's also the source of inspiration for a great many black metal band names like Gorgoroth, Morgul, Isengard etc.

Not all satanic metal bands are black metal. It's the style of music they play that makes them black. Behemoth no longer qualifies btw.

  • @sundarkssh Black Metal refers to the way the music is played, not the lyrical content. Summoning is a Black Metal band that happens to sing about Middle-Earth. Just like Amon Amarth is a Melodic Death Metal band that happens to sing about vikings.

  • I discovered this band few time ago with the song Our Foes Shall Fall, and I think that they are very good. I love this type of music

  • @sundarkssh since when is all black metal satanistic?

  • ytf is summoning called BLACK metal?? nothing satanic about them.... they shud b called something else..... their music is too beautiful to b called black.... im not against black metal, i luv it, but summoning is..... idk what..... they compose symphonies..... theyre like epica and nightwish in that way..... others make harmony out of chaos, these few gifted bands make beauty out of harmony.....

  • @sundarkssh you could call summonign as a atmospheric black metal band.

  • you are obviously new to black metal sir

  • @sundarkssh call it summoning :D

  • @HellrizerPLble

    Chyba Cię pojebało...

  • Check it out: Maurice Nihil - Deathdust

  • haha until now i thought that guy in the picture was fishing.,

  • @ichai1 hahaha until i saw you comment i was thinking the same

  • @MrTolli =)

  • Near to Burzum, but still weaker.

  • @HellrizerPLble

    near to burzum ?????

  • @MySvart you could say that

  • summoning awesomeeeeee!!!!this band is similiar to hellveto!!!

  • gostei dos riffs mais cadenciados estilo burzum antigo e depressivo isso e black metal

  • This song awakes the spirit of the warrior in me!

  • Nice, I see a Wardruna link to the right.

  • If you guys never wandered alone or just one more friend through virgin forests, across hills and through lakes in the middle of wintry nights with nothing but a handbag with fruit, bread and a book and your walkman playing Summoning, you are then neither into SUMMONING or J.R.R. TOLKIEN.

  • @DerAnstifter Well said! That's a major hobby for me, haha!

  • @TalvellaMaa I did that pretty often in my teens. Now I moved to the capital city, up north. The north is hot, right the oposite as in the northern hemisphere.

  • @DerAnstifter very true, But it is often hard to find such places that humans have not tainted or destroyed, leaving much of those old world landscapes often in the pages of history or the minds of volksagas

  • @DerAnstifter Pfft, Walkman?

  • @Fallschirmjager01 I did that in the 90s

  • @DerAnstifter I went through the forests of Romania.Great atmosphere to be there, but I listened to Summoning and Negura Bunget on my ipod.

  • @DerAnstifter

    Robert E. Howard ? :)

  • @DerAnstifter

And if you forgot your beer, you're pretty fucked up.

  • @RatioFarmerin Nah! beer is for weakling hobitts! I drink no manner of alcohol whatsoever.

  • @DerAnstifter

And bei dem Weg: Wenn Du mit einem Kumpel unterwegs bist, ist es ziemlich lame, mit Buch und Walkman (gute Güte! Wer hat denn heute noch 'nen Walkman!) loszuwandern. ;D

  • I remember... being 16... walking in ridiciously big black boots through 20 centimeters of snow in Berlin and feeling... feeling... HOME.

  • @RatioFarmerin Damn you sure take LoTR seriously as fuck. Who's your favorite? Legolas/Aragorn/Gimli? Or maybe you think the Uruk'hai look sexy in their big black armor, because you're dark and brooding?

  • @DerAnstifter i dont think u are aloud to judge the fandom of a band or author by outdoor activity's...

  • @DerAnstifter OR! They where eaten alive by wild animals because they did not bring a knife or sword with them.

  • @andrewniles1 In austral Chile all we have are hogs (boars) and beavers. Oh, and foxes, pumas, hares, deer and wabbits!

  • found this song from my wolves in the throne room pandora station, this fucking song owns!

  • 3:56 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh

  • Thumbs up if like airdrumming to this song!

  • @pandemonic01 and airdrumming and airsynths and airguitar ...fuckin awesome near to god riffs!!!\m/

  • in joy thou hast lived!!!

  • this song is o fucking bad ass!

    i HATE that noise

  • @nazi8per dude. pissed myself!

  • hey i thought he was fishing too D:

    Incredible...

  • @Ueberall totally agree...''When pools are black, and trees are bare, it's evil in the wild''... how much more sinister and primeval can it get?

  • @Ueberall totally agree...''When pools are black, and trees are bare, it's evil in the wild''... how much more sinister and primeval can it get?

  • LOL! It's a very different album, but nothing at all like their music from Minas Morgul and on. A good effort none-the-less.

  • I'm not sure if your replying to someone, but this IS from Minas Morgul. :P

  • ***face palm***

Yes, I was replying, hence why my post appears immediately below and to the right of the one above it. The error wasn't mine, haha.

  • "theguywith0intellect"

  • argh almighty riffage!!!!

  • Mountain and forest trolls for me I'd have to say :) Vikings alsooo

  • Every time i listen to Summoning i want to read again The Lord of the Rings and every time i read the book i want to listen to Summoning ;)

  • You can say what you like about Summonings talent. Music is subjective. I could laugh at you for liking shit like Wu Tang Clan. But your arguement that using fiction for grounds of musical inspiration is SERIOUSLY flawed, since most metal uses Fantasy of one sort or another, and some of the heaviest Death Metal bands have used Lord of the Rings. That's the fact. You should seriously reconsider how "childish" it is. I wont argue for weeks with you. I'm pointing out the flaw in your theory

  • I agree 100% with you. Using fiction for musical inspiration is something pretty much every great musician (and artist in general) does. One of the greatest Russian composers, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, wrote a composition called "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy". Using your imagination to expand your creative limits is what being an artist is all about.

  • @theguywith1face #2 - If you dislike the music so much why have you come back here so often?

#3 I don't expect an answer to that question because I'm blocking you for being annoying.

  • Woohooo! a true metalheart! horns up!

  • @tomhetistgut3

He might as well just toss his already lifeless body off of a cliff. People like this don't make any sense. Their logic is all wrong.

  • I love trolls who can't back up their own stupid arguments.

  • Oh so if a band sings a song about "We Must Join With Sauron!" it isn't childish but if a band using a work of fiction for all their music it is? That's contradictory. And you keep calling LOTR Childish which means you've clearly NEVER read it. It's a work that draws directly from anglo and nordic sagas/myth, and despite your whining about it being childish-it has probably influenced the lyric of more bands than any other writer. Try reading it before you call it childish. And secondly-

  • #1 - The Lord of the Rings is not a children's story. I was never meant to be that. Calling it a child's story because it has trolls and elves is like calling Norse Mythology for children, because Norse Mythology, like many mythologies, has mythical characters (much of the inspiration LOTR came from Norse Mythology) Based off that, then most bands would be singing about "kids stories" by your logic, because many bands write about mythology.

  • by "I was never meant to be that." I mean "IT was never meant to be that"

  • @tomhetistgut3 yeh lol. lord of the rings...a kids story xD...sure... :) i watched the making off and that is fuckin crazy. best movie ever. there is no movie but lotr with his own language, folks, land,...

tolkien is king of a new world. i love him.

  • Most of the popular things today including films and book is based on norse mythology.. its more common than the greek

  • @robertocarlos273 And norse mythology is more or less Greek gods v2.0.

Just read the sagas of Snorri Sturluson, if you have the time, and nothing important to do...

  • @tomhetistgut3 Lol, lotr was the first fantasy series that actually was 'suitable' for adults, but tolkien wrote it for his children, so...

  • @VuckingIdiotPerson wrong. he wrote the hobbit for his kids, then spent 30+ years writing lotr.

i presume his kids were a little too old for childrens stories by then.

  • @tomhetistgut3 actually it was meant for children like the Hobbit was, but got darker so it turned into a teen/adult book....
