  • thats cool!

    :)

  • kool!

  • It takes ages I tried it don't bother any one

  • try to blow on the polish to pick it up more. =)

  • wow wow wow!

  • um i tried doing it with normal water because i coulnt find filtered water and it didnt spead it just stayed in one spot

  • @The12yearoldartist that's why I recommend filtered - it's possible to do it with tap but most is so hard that the polish doesn't spread very well =)

  • do you use.. cold or hot water?

  • @HEYITSDEMIGAGA room temperature filtered water =)

  • I have these and I used and did everything the same but those two colors blended what can I do?

  • @youngmakeuploverali try to use a very light touch - mine also blended some so if you have too much trouble just try different polishes =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I wanted to give you a tip, you can actually use a lipstick or chapstick instead of tape, and after you can just wipe it off!

  • @zencookieful It's been on my to-do list for a while now to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick etc, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Aside from the fact that it seems like it would be very messy, several viewers have told me that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasures- how do you come up with this stuff?

  • @pepper213456 I always have lots of ideas =)

  • can we use other tape instead of using scotch tape

  • @SmexyPOP98 any kind should be fine =)

  • what can we use instead of an orange stick or toothpick?

  • @TheSadhvika anything with a fine point will work =)

  • can u use lukewarm water?

  • @stillettopumps86 yes- that's basically what room temperature means =)

  • Okay so ive gone to all the sally's and other beauty supplie shops and i cant seem to find the orange sticks any advice

  • @xokaye123 the package may not actually say orange sticks on it, I think the ones I use just say nails sticks or something & I get them at target, but you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • i loove these water marble tutorials.. are you a professional manicurist?

  • @Emily9Nonoo no I'm not =)

  • Are you married?

  • @areeba234 no =)

  • A really good black and white is from "10 Professional Nail Lacquer". It's not sold everywhere but the black stays black and doesn't gray out at all (unless you mix it too much). And an easy way to get the extra polish off the water is to blow on it while your nail is in there, and then use a qtip or something to roll it off :)

  • i like her nails and all of her videos she is a insperation to me

  • hay thank u so much... i did my nails with the colour green and red , cuz its xmas.... and they look so amazing.... once again thank u!

  • how come u did a halloween tutorial? it's almost christmas! it's cute though! :D

  • @cutepenguin31 umm, check the upload date =) this is from Halloween 2010 LOL

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues um can i ask how much are sally hampson's manicure???

  • @sandriness1 it depends which of their lines you choose, anywhere from $2-8 =)

  • @cutepenguin31 r u stupid? this was made in 2010 and in october! what are you talking about SMH -_____________-

  • when u do this does ur nail have to be painted like underneath? can it just be a bare nail going into the polish?

  • @amelia61052 it’s not required, but I always recommend a base coat & also a base color because it helps the marble colors be more opaque & vibrant =)

  • Umm i was just wondering about that tape u put on ur finger... do u put tht on ur nails too???? i tried it but it didnt work out exactly righht... mayb becuz i put the tape on my nail... wht is the tape u use??? thnks was an awesome video..

  • @shekahprasad just around the nail, to keep the polish off your ski - it' just plain scotxh tape you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • I was also wondering what the orange stick is. I want to thank you. I have psoriasis under my nails and they look awful without paint. This way I can keep them polished AND cute in a short amount of time. THANKS

  • @tarantula9200 an orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • @tarantula9200 If you're having trouble finding orange sticks, I recommend picking up kebab skewers (that's what I use when I marble - you can usually find them at the grocery store). A lot of people use toothpicks, but I find them too small to work with.

  • It all looks easy when you do it...

  • you can also get your orange stick in a fake nails boxs

  • Wear do you buy an orange stick? and when ever i try to make the design it doesn't work is that coz my water isn't fitered or what?

  • @cindyrocks222 they’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =) filtered water plays a big part, also not all colors work

  • want to be friends?

  • When I use my orange stick to pull the design, it just starts picking up the polish, How does yours not do that? Also, how do you get your water room temp?

  • @dialgadiamond1990 It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower - every one is different =) our brita pitcher is always on the counter so I don't really have to wait, but I usually just recommend you leave you water out where you'll be working for an hour or so

  • 2 questions. what nail polish works best with this, and are those your real nails?

  • @alicelovesherjasper1 there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. my nails are natural =)

  • mine doesn't disperse :( my water is room temperature, and i don't hesitate in case it dries, but it just becomes a blob ! does anyone know why this happens ?

  • @greekhunni Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • I LUV IT!! but i dont think it looks like a spider web

  • Why do you call it a orange stick?

  • @amiebrown08 they used to be made from orangewood, although I don't think they are anymore =)

  • i tried water marbling for first time yesterday and i am actually very hapy with the design you teached me how to make those amazing designs i am definitely subscribing!!!

  • this is really cool!:) but i always have a hard time with the polishes drying too fast or sticking to the toothpick i use to make the pattern :/

  • @ReEsEsPiEcEs815 every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster

  • does your brush ever touch the water?

  • @kidadorable generally no, unless the polish is very stubborn & won't drip all the way off =)

  • omg i tried like one million times but i still cant really get it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thebestlanyardmaker Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • is that ur real nail??

  • @thebestlanyardmaker yes, my nails are natural =)

  • I was trying it (sorry for my bad english) but when i put my finger into the water the desing dont goes on the nail

    how u did that?

  • @spacegirli are you using a base color? that helps the marble design to stick to the nail =)

  • i am so doing this for halloween

  • i've tried water marbeling before and everything spread fine, buy my first layer of color was like a skin on the water. when i tried to draw my design, it just fell apart.

what was i doing wrong ?

  • @EdieD1995 It sounds like the polish is starting to dry – you either have to work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • This is so cool. =)

  • @shulsey84 there isn't one yet - that whole slideshow is from before I started my YT channel =)

  • i love ur colors adn everything but ur nails are TOO LONG no offense cut them a little lyk just a cute lil trim lol

  • @MsCupcakes4 sorry but no =P it's all personal preference but I love my nails long =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues ahha truee!(: u dont mean trim lyk just buff dem from the top lol

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues U always give me a lot of tips to do my nails.I want to say thank you and I hope u will be alive forever..god blesses u..:D

  • this is so awesome

  • Does the nail polish have to be really opaque and thick to spread good? Or thin? I know it depends on the water and cup but I have that settled already

  • @bananabieber11 thick or thin doesn't really seem to make a difference, as long as it's thin enough to drip =)

  • can u use L.A COLORS?

  • @bsmiller19 you can use any brand of polish, but not every color works =)

  • hi Colette! You know,,.. this don't works on my nails :( But you make it look so easy!! Do you have som tips for me ? Because when i pull my finger out , i get all little bubbles on my nails! :(

  • @gewoonarijana My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Oh thanks! Im going to do water marble nails now! And have a nice weekend! :)

  • orange stick..

  • Should i have very long nails like you to make this Water Marble? (:

  • @EmiliexXxRiise it works on shorter nails also, you just get less of the design, so it's very important where you dip your nail - check out my short nails marble with my mom as hand model for some tips =)

  • adorei mais vc podia diminuir os seus and and and

  • @gabrielafcsal Eu não tenho um script quando faço meus vídeos, eu só falar meu caminho através como eu ir ... desculpe se te incomoda ou algo assim = P

  • Is that a pencil you use? I never knew what an orange stick was (I'm English!!!) ;)

  • @flumpersforever no - an orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

you could use a cabob stick.

  • awesome!!!

  • where do you get your orange sticks????

  • @gunsolley I usually get mine at Target but they’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues do you have to have a orange stick? or can you just use a bobby or pencil?

  • @TheOneWhoSings100 anything with a fine point will work =)

  • brilliant! just absolutely amazing =D

you just got yourself another subscriber

  • Does your designs come out better if you use a orangewood stick or can you use a needle?

  • @twinnephraim anything with a fine point will work =)

  • Hi! I just found your channel and when you put them in the water, is it just normal water or is it something in the water? I dont get it wouldnt the nail polish come off? Thanks! Please reply asap I'd like to do one of your designs for school!!

    -alyson

  • @purplemonicapies it's plain room temperature filtered water =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues - Another question, Is there tape around your fingers?

  • @purplemonicapies yes - you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • Are you using fake nails?

  • @ShylaJean96 no, my nails are natural =)

  • Its soooo awesome :D

  • Yhuur designs are super easy yhuur my fav artist!

  • Do you put any base coat on your nails before you dip them in?

  • @210LoverHorse yes, I always recommend a base coat & base color when marbling =)

  • Can you maybe make a Zebra pattern/Design? I would love to see that! Or something close to zebra, I would love to wear that around and tell people about SimpleLittlePleasures

  • @tiktokfan5000 I do have a zebra look on my request list, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it - usually for an animal print I just use Konad =)

  • hi there. love this nail art. im a nail technician and wanted to know do u use sparkling water or still water? many thanks

  • @satmansami if you have short nails you just get less of the design, so it's very important where you dip your nail - check out my short nails marble with my mom as hand model for some tips =)

  • I think it looks more like feathers than a spider web...

  • I love this one:)

  • is it water from the tap?

  • @MaudDrewBieber no - it's room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher =)

  • where did you get the tape from?

  • @hannah182100 I don't really remember but it's just normal scotch tape =)

  • the only nail polish i have are brands pureice, kiss, and sally hanson. will they work to do water marbleing?

  • @Imalysaa You can’t tell just by brand - the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

  • @333NicoleC every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster

  • ahh im so addicted to doing this now! thankyou :)

  • CAN YOU DO IT WITH CRAKLE POLISH CUZ THATS THE ONLY BLACK I HAVE?!

  • @bellaandme234 most crackles dry to fast to work with marbling =)

  • okay! so! i have that exact same white as you used and when i drop it into my water (room temperature from a water bottle) the polish just drops straight to the bottom of my cup and sits there. i tried using 2 or 3 different cups and it did the same thing each time? what do you think is wrong?

  • @xEmilyJeanx Some polish sinks because it’s too dense, other times it is from dripping it from too high up, try to stay close to the surface of the water =)

  • Really u are so talented I can do this but u r amazing

  • How long time do you wait for the polish to dry before you remove the tape?

    ..Btw love your designs! ;)

  • @LotteFuckingBossow I usually wait just a few minutes for the polish to dry, but you can do it while wet if you’re careful =)

  • is the polish dry after you take your nail out of the water?

  • @jquach0707 It’s mostly dry within a few minutes, then I use a quick-drying top coat =)

  • would unfiltered water work?

  • @mariahrose210 Most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well – you can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • @katy123555 What?

  • I love your voice! It's so relaxing (: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  • pause at 2:01 look a bit sideways. angel. :)

  • @thebigdipperr You're right :O

  • @thebigdipperr omgg!!!

  • Why do you call it an orange stick? Just curious

  • @makeupfreak79 they called that because they used to be made from orange wood =)

  • Maybe polish must be oil contained(if such exests at all) or something like that, then to be spread well in the water?

  • @geocrypt no, it's just normal nail polish - you can use any brand although not every color works =)

  • hey...love this one.....how do u clean the excess on ur finger without damaging the design... :( got a few probs with that....thank u....

  • @wellsrachael I use a brush dipped in acetone – you can check out the clean up tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thank u!!! will do. :)

  • What type of polish is needed for water marble design? every polish can not be spread in the water like that. Can anyone give a note about polish type?

  • @geocrypt you can use any brand, but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well =)

  • @mediumrarenipples you can also just use a tooth pick Ive heard that alot.

  • IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE AN EYE ILLIOUSION!!! Love all your nail looks!

  • I followed the instructions step by step but when I remove my finger from the water, the nail polish doesn' t stay striped but the colours melt together and make a mess. Any idea about where I' m going wrong? :oS

  • @araleh06 I think it sounds like you are using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin or =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks! You could be right as the last drops were quite thick. Can' t wait to try again :oD

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I think you' re right as the last drops were quite thick. Thanks for the precious tip :o)

  • @araleh06 It maybe too much polish like she said. Also... Sometimes there is a bit of polish residue on the top of the water.. It's like a clear film.. If you drag your finished nail through it it will run like water :( I eff mine up all the time like that. Just be extra careful about removing all the excess crud on top. PS I love this design!! :)

  • @flushingcorn Thanks! I' m gonna try following both your advice and hers :oD

  • @mediumrarenipples An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick =) You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on. They’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers

  • Alright so if I were to do this outside what would the tempature be?

  • @SkyeePie well, I consider room temperature to be about mid-70's =)

  • Oh thanks :) Where do you buy all your nail polish?? The colours you use are amazing!

  • @aznb0r3d0m3 all over - walgreens, sallys or ulta just to name a few places =)

  • Best design yet!...This is extremly creative

  • I used insta-dri nail polish, filtered room temperature water, but it always dries at the edges too fast ! Is it the nail polish :( ?

  • @aznb0r3d0m3 probably, anything fast drying is a poor choice - You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • this is just the coolest thing ever. I'm not really even into painting my nails, but i've never heard of water marbling before. very very creative.

  • Nvm

  • I didn't see the spider thing all I. Saw was a shakira video

  • how long does it take to dry ?

  • @emziibwii It’s mostly dry within a few minutes, then I use a quick-drying top coat =)

  • i think this video isnt as good as ur others i dont like spider webs maybe thats y please dont take it personal its just a video u know
