WiFi is ok - seems fast, implementation annoying - some apps will ask to connect then fail to find connection. Can't switch base stations on the fly - have to disconnect from 1st then connect to 2nd. Have had to reboot phone a few times to make connection. Ok phone for the price unlocked, but not thrilled with it.

i was also confused about the video recording info in their site. but ive asked them via their customer service page and QCIF was the default setting but it can be adjusted to VGA. So that solves it.

Now, im actually confused if ill wait for this one or get 5800 instead, coz 3G is a fast and reliable means of getting online.

5530 is much better looking though.

How much is the 5800 in Malaysia? I believe it's 13K to 14K here in the Philippines.

why does nokia is inaccurate about this phone specs??It says video capture at QCIF 15 fps when i view the specs on nokia's site and then when i compare it with other phones at the nokias site it says VGA 30fps. which is which??

hi there nokia 5800 is a great phone ive mine for couple of months now and it is a great we phone,it has a speech program in it so when someone calls you it says there name which is cool,i have also the samsung jet which is fast,but the 5800 best for movies and music on the move

the speed is pretty much same as nokia 5800 but the 5530's colour on screen is much more vibrant.

as for 2.9" honestly I didn't feel much difference from 3.2". In fact I think I'd enjoy my movies/videos more on the 5530 with the better screen.

honestly, if u want to get GPS, go for Nokia 5800 if not, go for the 5530. Both are equally just as good as one another.

-Did they say anything about those kinetic scrolling n homescreen features coming to 5800?

-Did you try scrolling in other lists? is it same kinetic or normal?

-Does the browser have scrolling? the french video i saw didn't have kinetic in the browser..

-When would the new version update come for 5800?

- Yes they did. They have been aware of it that the 5800 users have wanted these 2 features since the 5530 release and they are working on it.

- Kinetic scrolling only works on the contacts list, web browser and the homescreen.

- Yes web browser has kinetic scrolling. But kinetic scrolling only works when u scroll using the middle of the page instead of the scroll bar at the right side.

- Long time more for the update to come. They need to release the 5530 first and sell more N97 before anything
