  • Wu Tang Forever and Rakim's "18th Letter" were the best albums of 97. (9)(7) is also the year of the Born God, so I'm not surprised that Mathematics reigned Supreme that year. Let me tell you though, this album right here son is simply incredible! Wu took lyrics to such a pinnacle, I wondered how they could even match it. All members were going off mad strength at this phase. Check that Rakim joint too cause Ra birthed these cats. Nonethless, Peace to the Gods!!!!

  • GZa's flow is just insane.

  • great upload probably my favorite off the wu-tang forever album

good attempt on taking down the lyrics but they need a lot of work

example: "straighten the crumbs left on the stove" lol it's "straightening combs left on the stove" i'm white and probably would have never heard of straightening combs if I hadn't married a black woman hahahaha

  • how does someone dislike this song? this group got me into hip-hop.

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 One of the best albums of ALL TIME....

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 2nd best album of all time

  • @toby25161990 Took the words right out of my mouth

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 One of the best In Hip Hop History

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 Best Wu-Tang Clan album as a group in fact. People always prefer 36 chambers, but it's no way near as lyrical as Forever. All the Wu members were in their prime. Look at how INS, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, RZA, Method Man and Masta Killa evolved in these years. They put out their albums and became better mc's. The beats are also better, people just like 36 Chambers better because of the raw gritty hardcore sound. Forever > 36. Still 36 Chambers is a CLASSIC!

  • @MidlandKruiskade Exactly.

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 Best in 1995-2000.

  • @xaultimateax best hiphop album of 97, never said it was the best year, i honestly think the late 80s through the late 90s was the best for hip hop

  • @xaultimateax naw go back to 1993....36 chambers dropped in 93

  • @getyoasshome yeah but this is on Forever LP... in 1997, are you a fan or what?

  • @xaultimateax yeah this is on the 97 LP but they were wrecking shop back in 93'
