I'm so thankful to be a music listner wth limited experience as a musician. A music lover hears and honours and shares the music of gifted musicians. Where as musicians oftime hear based on their educational training. I care less about the tricks of the trade and more about the music produced from the spirit.
@rockinspiritphoto Don't assume that happens to everybody who studies music, in fact barely anyone. growing mature in learning to play music can absolutely help to grow mature in listening and appreciating. In my experience learning to play music absolutely does not inhibit somebody from appreciating the soul and beauty in music but even guides them to do so.
@rockinspiritphoto has it occurred to you that people who end up at conservatories are music lovers who hear and honor the music of gifted musicians. it was only until i tried learning a keith jarrett solo when i began to scratch the surface of how truly great and amazing he is.
@rockinspiritphoto ya maybe if you're into heavy metal or hadyn, sure. but thats like saying the mind of a child staring up at the skies is more blown than that of an astro physicists. i think not
At the end it sounds as if three hands were playing - that's typical Jarrett artistry. Marvelous! @cakeplus8psycho Thanks for the hint. Mulgrew Miller absolutely rocks! I've listened to him many times in Den Haag/Rotterdam. He isn't worse than Jarrett, but different, more traditional Oscar Peterson hardbop-style. And that's great as well.

He's just a very polyphonic guy.

Once again Mr Jarrett brings light to this piece revealing unthought of possibilities. He is one of my Faves.
