@billysue2 Yes, it's way safer now for the striker & the recipient of those strikes & that's the problem, it's too much of a sport & not a fight. Old days: Fighter 1 can strike a downed Fighter 2. 2 will move or risk serious injury to facial area: eyes, nose, forehead; etc. #2 didn't want any part of that thrashing. New sport days with gloves: #1 will strike & #2 will weather it because the danger is more minimal & painless. #2 comes back to win the fight in round 3 or 5. Fight would've ended...
@p4horror in round one if it wasn't for the safety gloves. This is what I'm saying. The winner in most of these new sport UFC matches ( no fights ) shouldn't have really won those fights. I've seen this happen way too many times & it's lame to me which is why I don't really watch UFC as much.
