This game had an extraordinarily emotive soundtrack. My first contact with FF7 was when I saw a full page ad in an old gaming mag; it was just this dramatic shot of Midgar, all neon and smoking. I immediately wanted to know all about the lives of the unseen characters who lived there. Effectively, I based my purchase (and all subesquent FFs) on this one atmospheric image. Thankfully, it had the music to match.

Corel.. the baby birds.. the guy who lays around all day in the cave.. the sun setting while u run towards it on the one scene.. great music.. too bad once you get to corel barrett flips out and you get thrown and prison because of Dyne haha the calm before the storm!

Is Mt Corel the mountain you go in after Costa de Sol?

If so then my game is fucked! I try going into a mountain but the screen turns black and the main theme is still playing.

When I first heard this tune, I was instantly awestruck by the yellow/orange/red background as Cloud ran atop the old rollercoaster tracks as this tune played in all its simplicity and beauty in the background.
