  • um just to let you know the mesh for the dragon bone weapons is orcish not deadric just thought i would let you know but maybe im just a idiot

  • @GophersVids how u get the dragon heart i dont find one...

  • the weapons are orc recolored

  • Dragonbone cuirass was an artifact in Morrowind :)

  • Comment removed

  • I did as instructed in this video, but it doesn't work at all... HOW THE FUCK?! do I get it workng?

  • @ChaosShadoWolfe NVM! I fixed it on my own, it was my own fault, this mod is great and works 100% of the time as long as you do as instructed by this guy!

  • I just feel that in some way it would be cheat, to get even better Dragon armor than before, and also you can craft rear appereal as much as you want to.. It would just not be right to create, lets say 5 sets of Nightingale Armor..

  • is there a dragonbone weapon mod where the weapons doesnt look like orcish weapons?

  • @MixMaxit Yeah, check on the SkyrimNexus, I'm pretty sure it's on the Hot Files section.

  • I think you mean a reskin of the Orcish weapons, but however you earned a new subscriber :)

  • Is there DragonBone Bow? I'm playing a WoodElf Archer and I would like nicer and better bow than the Daedric Bow (Legendary).

  • isnt dragon armour at the top of the smithing tree because its the best craftable LIGHT armour

  • IDER

  • im running a macbook... just a macbook. far belw system requirements 2gb ram dule core processor and 512 nvidia. window mode = 25 fps windowed with no boarder = 45 fps

  • it wouldve looked cooler if it didnt use the original orchish weapon skin with a different color.

  • @FinalFormLXVII yep or at least daedric stuff like volendrung

  • I'd download this mod if I didn't already use Dragon Bone Armor and didn't feel overpowered as it is.

  • but if you think about it, Deadric is the best Heavy, but Dragon is still the best.. Light

count the Tree on the right and the left for Light or Heavy, Dragon is the 4th, and Deadric is the 4th, just because one requires 100 smithing doesn't matter, if you want Light armor make Dragon, if you want Heavy make Deadric

  • cristal clear ..fantastic video

  • I cant seem to get either mods to work and i did exactly what you did but with the newest version am i doing something wrong or is it the mod itself please help as soon as possible

  • Guys, Daedric armour is better than Dragonplate for one reason. Rarity. I have a chest full of dragon scales and bones, because, dragons arent difficult nor rare, and I have found PLENTY. How many daedra hearts have I found? not many. I have full daedric set, sure, because I found a little exploit (mehrunes Dagon shrine, respawning dremora) but they're still really rare.

  • @Dessierey daedra hearts? rare? phhh... well, atleast not for me, I visit alchemy shops alot.

  • @MantasasInHD Yeah, thay can be found in an alchamist, but only some, and they usually only sell a single one, and they're expensive-ish (480 gold I think) and dont appear until a high level

  • @Dessierey I found one in an alchemy shop when i was level ~5 and then I was like WTF

  • retextured orcish, lazy bugger

  • @gamepwner56 You try making game models. Fk'n difficult.

  • guys, you do know that when you make your armour legendary the dragon beats, deadric right?

look it up "Legendary Dragon armour, Vs Legendary deadra."

  • how do i get dragon hearts to make dragon bone weapons , can anyone help ? please

  • @xDon0vaNx It should just add it to the loot of dragons.

  • @xDon0vaNx hmmmmmmmm, where to find a dragon heart.....i wonder where dragon hearts come from? dragon heart trees maybe?

  • An what kind of weapon is that ahh orchish great sword?

  • Where did he get that dragon armor (legendary)? m

  • Hey guys, I need some help here. I did exactly what this guy did, and it doesn't work. Any options?

  • 11:19 " Now we are going to install the shit, the enhanced shaders "

  • This mod is awesome. In Skyrim, smithing is my favourite profession and this mod makes it even more enjoyable. Keep up the good work! And thanks for the mod!

  • i was so happy with this vid that i had to subscribe! and by the way, i heard there's a mod kit on the way... coming out this month (so i've heard)

  • I might try the shaders and injectors soon. But I watch the videos for them and it looks like the game just gets darker. Like lowering gamma. He turns the shaders and injectors off and on in turn and I watch the sky get darker in turn just as much as the shadows we're supposed to be looking at.

I 'unno, maybe YouTube's not doing the mod justice.

  • Once the CS comes out I hope someone makes a mod that takes of craftable Daedric and puts in sidequests or something to make the weapons and armor harder to find.

  • In TES Morrowind, you couldn't simply find it like you do in Oblivion at a moderate level, or in Skyrim simply, MAKE IT, you had to go and search, and thrive to find it. Anyone else remember killing half of the Redoran just to get one of the Daedric helmets? That's what I wanted in this game and it failed at that sense of rarity.

  • regarding your question concerning windowed mode: running with an old AMD/ATI 5870 and windowed mode makes no noticeable difference for me. But the more important catch is, which you did not mention: you now have to run the game at your desktop resolution (which is 2560x1600 in my case and with the old card this results in a slide show, whereas with 1920x1200 the game runs with playable FPS)

  • THe dragonbone battleaxe looks just like the orcish battleaxe...

  • @AmazinglyRerun Learn-2-Read the mod author said the models were retextured version of the orcish meshes

  • @MrNorman0102 Ooooh ok, thanks. But it would be worse if i didnt read the DESCRIPTION and not click on the link to a website and scroll through his notes to find what he said about the retextured orcish stuff.

  • I know it's shift+F12 to disable the shaders but how do you disable the FXAA?

  • @DiemIudicii FXAA is the pause button. it is generally at the top of your keyboard to the right of the Function keys.

  • <3 mods 4eva.

  • are there any additional mods running in the background changing the stats of items

  • The reason I think why dragon needs a higher skill is because Dragon armor "ingredients" are alot more common than ebony Ingots and daedra hearts.

  • @CharinZain That makes no sense though, if the raw materials are more common then it should have a lower place on the skill tree. :\

  • I got to the perk from the left side (light armor) and thought that I could go from dragon to Daedric. NOPE. I was mad.

  • Speaking as someone with nearly 130 Skyrim hours logged and just having reached 100 crafting skill... I want to send in Wayne Brady to choke the Bethesda bitches.

HOW THE HELL IS THE MOST DIFFICULT TO CRAFT ARMOR NOT THE *BEST MOTHERF**KING ARMOR*? Crikey. I can't believe a damn mod had to be made to address this epic retardery. Is there heavy metal poisoning in the drinking water... oh wait, Maryland, n/m of course there is.

    *:-|*

  • Am I the only one that gets bothered by the fact that dragonbone armor doesn't cover your forearm?

  • I installed both the FXAA and the Shaders and I don't seem to be getting the dark nights...?

  • Comment removed

  • Now all they need to do is make Dragonbone armor look decent -_-.

  • Does it matter? BOTH Dragon and Daedric armor improved with smithing will reach the armor cap... So it's just a number with no use, so technically, Dragon armor is the best armor (reaches armor cap, easier to get than daedric.. Although even the lesser armours reach the armor cap easily with 100 smithing)

  • I think dragon is 100 because, deadra is heavy armor. The right side of the smith tree is heavy armor and the left side is light armor. Dragon can be both light and heavy, that is why it's at the top.

  • Does installing texture/shading mods slow down the game? I mean stress performance. I'm already at low on all graphical settings lol.

  • Mine doesnt work i check the mod but when i launch the game its uncheck again what do i do?

  • @LorenZ901 I have the same problem

  • OMG!!!! He uses Internet Explorer!!!! (scared)

  • ur voice is boring as hell!!!

  • I'm a console player but in my opinion they dumbed it down the ability to be able to get the best armor in the game. I mean fuckin seriously this armor is worn by the gods and legends of TES and you can do a super easy grind for it they buy daedric hearts? Come on Bethesda all us console players aren't bitches like that, man I can't wait to get a gaming pc.

  • it dosent matter if u have an armor rateing of 1000 or 100000 it caps off at 567 or 657 somthin like that so if u have past 657 it does not do anything cause at 657 it has damg resistance of 80% it can not go above that

  • but daedric looks much more badass

  • Learn-2-Lore buddy. Its already slightly retarded that you can even make daedric armor. Daedric Armor is the ultimate heavy armor in TES. Nothing else surpasses it in price or qaulity. It is something a god would wear.

  • @0hypnotoad0 As I already in a previous comment, I actually agree that Daedric should not even be craftable. But which ever armor is last in the smithing tree, should be the best or there is no point to it. Now an alternative mod would be one that put dragon armor as the 90 skill perk and daedric as the 100 skill perk. But out of curiosity, in which of the previous games had dragon bone plate armor?

  • @GophersVids Thing is though its unfair for light armor users to have the highest level crafting be heavy armor only just doesn't make sense.

  • @GophersVids Ahem, which of the previous games had freaking dragons flying around?

  • @Davisrullzs Exactly. So the unless something in a previous game specifically mentioned dragon armor and how it related to daedric, the balance of the two armors is lore neutral from the perspective of Skyrim. Skyrim itself is may define lore for the next TES game, but cannot do so for itself.

  • @GophersVids Dragon should be top, as you have to kill god dam dragons and face them head to head. Ebony ingotand daedra hearts you can buy and find, where do u find a dragon?

  • @GophersVids i think the dragon armor was for people who couldnt get their hands on over 4 deadric hearts (depends on lvl) and since dragons are an abundance may as well make it harder to get yet still be very awesome

  • @Derosis28 You only need to do that museum mission and you can get as many hearts as you want. I've got about 20 hearts without buying none-

  • @GophersVids Ahem... Dragonbone Cuirass >.> made by Zurin Arctus.

  • @GophersVids i think they added the dragon armor at the top of the tree because if you choose to go on a light armor char, the dragon perk includes heavy and light armor smithing

  • @GophersVids actually, i found one in morrowind. it was alright.

  • @0hypnotoad0 owned

  • @0hypnotoad0 I don't think a god would need armor. Although in Skyrim daedric princes (Sanguine is an example) would seem more fit for daedric armor, mostly because most of them are evil, and are all from the daedric planes of Oblivion

  • @0hypnotoad0 That's why it requires 90 points and a deadric heart it would be more balanced if it was harder to get deadric hearts.

  • @0hypnotoad0 There's definitely an argument to be made for dragonplate being stronger since dragons are the children of Akatosh, an Aedra.

  • Deadric is only very slightly better than Dragon anyways. I use full Dragon-scale and I got 820 Armour rating. That is with a light armor skill of about 74 and only 4/5 of the levels of the first perk in that tree.

Moral of the story? That is more armor than you need anyway... Physical attacks do very little to me.

  • @Al0neStillAlive

I have over 950m armor rating, using full dragon plate :)

would be over 1000 if i used daedric probably, but that armor doesn't fit the game imho. i didnt even use daedric when i got the perk, i used ancient nord until i got dragon

  • Ok seriously, whats with the comments about internet explorer?

  • Great video though. :)

  • Aren't they the Orcish meshes?

  • @TheLastZebra Yeah, I got that wrong, I should add a note to the video.

  • @GophersVids Please do. Sorry by the way, I really wasn't trying to be a dick, I love these videos. :)

  • What the hell is the point in this? For 16 minutes you have just explained how to copy over a few files and overwrite a few others. Jesus christ.

  • I was going to spam, but I took a arrow to the knee.....

  • i understand your machine is powerful enough to use both skyrim enhanced shaders and FXAA injector mods, and together at the same time. but i have to ask what your thoughts are on parsz's Awesome Shader Suite are. i have a mid range system and i want to squeeze out as much performance as i can while not sacrificing too much quality.

  • Awesome, as always. :)

  • thx bro ^_^

  • I'd be lost without your help. Great job, GophersVids!

  • shader + post processor was awsome.. its so dark i keep stumbling over enemies (not a good thing considering im playing archer) -.- i think its too dark now? -.- + i lag ubermuch now.. think im gonna uninstall 1 of them

  • @Zolfried I love the extra darkness, torches/magelight/candlelight spells actually have uses now. I also turned down my settings from high to medium so I can run them both.

  • @Mimimode i know.. but its not very sneaky to walk around with a torch -.-.. as for the lag, i think it was an external problem.. skype suddenly used 40% cpu power :/ dont know why, but i guess ill turn it off while im playing this game.

  • gonna hit things very hard, that's what she said

  • dude, internet explorer. LOL

  • @sozischreck2 I know where you live.

  • Tried installing both the dragon weapons mod and the more craftables mod, and neither worked. I have installed mods into skyrim before, and these were just merging "data" folders. Anyone know what could be going wrong?

  • Even tho' more and more modders will pack their files for easy NMM installations I'll always install them manually because that's saver and oldschool ;)

  • @LulzFactory91 Definately not safer if you mod a lot. Right now it is probably ok, but depending on how far you take it, manually ends up not a realistic option. eg. for me I install/deinstall about 50 mods a week, and some of the mods have several hundred files spread out in different places. I can uninstall a hundred mods, install 20 more to test something and it take no more than 5 minutes and know I can reverse the process in another 5 mins and be back playing without problem.

  • Hey Goper,

I have a question for you: If you had to choose between FXAA Post Process Injector and Skyrim Enhanced Shaders which one would you prefer and why?

  • alright, im enjoying his videos, Subbed!

  • I used to crash a few times in Skyrim but ever since I started using the 4GB Skyrim launcher my game runs smoothly with absolute 0 crashes since I've installed it a few weeks ago. I recommend you try it out if you're having problem with bad framerate or lag spikes/crashes.

  • Which GTX 580 did you get? I got a MSI Twin Frozr II quite recently and its very nice :)

  • @killohurtsking Same card actually. My only issue is for some reason every now and again I get freezes that last for 20 seconds. At first I though it was driver/bios as it occurs more often with newer drivers, but I have noticed it seems to occur when I am running FRAPs and my G35 headset. Not sure if it is just a cooincidence or if one of those has drivers that compete for resources with nvidia.

  • Thank you, I learned much from this!

  • These are ORCISH meshes, not daedric. Lame.

  • @daemonfool Yeah, my bad.

  • Are the Dragonbone Weapons stronger than daedric?

  • Crossfire AMD 6990, full screen simply alt tab out of the game and back in to enable proper performance with most xfire setup cards.

    -smc

  • Dude, the mesh for weapons is not daedric, but orcish. Still, epic video, great mod and an awesome accent :D.

  • I don't want to piss in your wheaties or anything... but the weapons you say use the daedric meshes but infact use the orcish weapon meshes.

  • I am not smart with my hardware, but I do know that for me using Windowed Mode lowered my performance. Crashed to the point where I get a nice loading screen, then a CTD. I'm currently using 4gb Skyrim, and it is working great!

  • I'm loving this series of videos. Very informative and the author has a really good style. Its becoming a regular weekend thing now to watch the latest SMS :)

Really like the news and updates section. Keep up the GREAT work, and thanks for putting the effort in to make these vids.

  • I really want to get these mods, but the site is being stupid. I just get a blank white box, anyway to fix this or alternative site?

  • Great mods, excellent video. I just have to question one thing...

do you actually use internet explorer?

  • @sharktamer Only to make these videos :) I use four different browsers.

  • @GophersVids how did you get the mods in the mod part of the mod manager,i only have mine in plugins, and they wont work, help?? :)

  • @sharktamer Gopher has previously said he uses four different browsers but it's habit for him to use IE for tutorials since he's used to using IE to demonstrate stuff - after all, your 'average computer user' would likely not even know there's an alternative to IE. (From what I gather he has a job in IT or something along those lines).

  • @sharktamer Yes. I use approximately 10 different browsers on a daily basis.

  • @GophersVids Why would you use 10 different browsers?

  • @bro123bro123 Partly because I use the browsers for different purposes but mostly because in real life my I make solutions that are web based and need to be tested on multiple platforms.

  • Amazing :) great style....

  • i have an ati card, which is a (crappy) radeon mobility hd 4200, and i didn't get any performance improvement in-game, but it gets rid of the jerky and lagging mouse when using the pip-boy, container menus (traders, looting) and the main menu.

don't know about skyrim - don't like it, don't have it.

  • how can i run the mods that i downloaded from mod manager from windowed mode? with the 4gb thing running or is it not possible?

  • Thanks so much! You definitely helped me get these two to work together. I recommend that you try out the enhanced night skyrim mod, from what I saw it looked like you still had the vanilla sky. It's really a nice looking mod :)

  • Whats your Hardware setup? My PC struggles to run this game, and I am thinking of upgrading

  • Since Skyrim ran smooth as butter for me BEFORE, I can't tell you how much of a gain I got from the windowed mode. I CAN, however, tell you that the game has been extremely stable and I never get ANY crashes (or too few to notice) using it.

  • I really appreciate your videos if werent for you being very thorough i proly wouldnt try most of this stuff as im too afraid to mess something up. Would it be possible for you to do a video on the Skyrim Configurator tool and explain what each thing means within that tool? Or is it even nessesary if your using some of these mods featured in this video? Id really appreciate a response from anyone really but would like to hear from GophersVids. Thanks again for all your effort.

  • *quickly closes window and goes to nexus to get the new mods*

  • @GophersVids I was wondering if you used the default settings for Enhanced Shaders and FXAA or if you tweaked them yourself? If so, I'd be interested in seeing what you did differently. :)

  • Once again, great video! I'll have to check out the dragonbone weapons. Also, congrats on the 580, great card :)

  • @TLC673 Seems less work than my 5970, but I get the odd freeze every few hours. Have not tried windowed mode for this card yet though.

  • Daedric armor contains the soul of a godly being you know. Bethesda wanted to add some fancy new armor, but no matter what, nothing can be more powerful than Daedric, according to lore. Just saying.

  • @terk0iz I understand but then they should not make the master perk for that tree to be Dragon Armor because it is pointless. But then perhaps they should just have made it impossible to craft Daedric armor and avoid the problem totally :)

  • @GophersVids But another thing, the perk lets you make TWO sets of armor, one being light and one being heavy. And Dragonscale armor is the best light armor.

  • I have found that i am unable to use either of the Enhanced Shaders or FXAA mods. It just crashes my Launcher or doesn't start the game. I have Dual ATI Radeon HD 6990 4GB graphics cards in Crossfire, even after disabling Crossfire it still crashes. Hopefully when the Creation Kit is released I will be able to use mods like these.

  • it wont let me downlod i get a page come up saying i dont have the right prgram to veiw this page

  • Nooo! You didn't compare vanilla nights to the Enhanced Shaders and the Post Processor. :(

  • @Brygelsmack I can do that for you.

  • @GophersVids: That would be awesome! Not sure what you have in mind, but a 5-10 second thing in the next video would be more than enough. Thanks!

  • Those are definitely the Orcish weapon meshes... not daedric. :-\

  • News section is very good!

  • Also I got much better results on my ATI card with enhanced shaders by adding my video card info to enbpatch.ini. The Skyrim Total Enhancement Project on Skyrim Nexus showed me how.

  • I'm using windowed mode and an ATI 6700M HD on my laptop. I too noticed a 10 fps or so FR bump and generally run the game around 30fps outdoors and 60fps indoors. I'm using the latest beta drivers from ATI and a dll that someone posted specifically for ATI cards.

  • I think you meant it uses the same mesh as Orcish.

  • I wish I could use FXAA or Enhanced Shaders, but they don't work with my laptop's Optimus Technology (they end up using my very bad power conservative graphics card). T_T

As for windowed mode, I use a nVidia GeForce 325M series card. I don't ever really measure my frame rates, but I did notice a significant stability boost. I haven't crashed at all since I've used it, where as before, I had a few random crashes.

Also, I just have an i-5 processor.

  • @Senkyo91 Hey I had the same problem but was able to fix it by disabling the hybrid function of the display. Basically rather than assigning games to the 3D card, I simply have it always run the 3d card and only switch to onboard graphics when I'm on battery power. I run an ATI setup so this may be different for Nvidia. I was able to tweak this setting in my BIOS.

  • @rcaminos Thanks, I've been trying to find a way to do this, but without any luck. I went ahead and googled the problem extensively, but it seems like it's not possible with nVidia. Pretty dumb and incredibly annoying. >< I can only hope that the next driver update for my graphics card fixes the problem.

  • holy crap I tried both Post PI and enhanced shaders and wow I went from like 50 frames outdoors to literally 19-20 Ya uninstalled that realfast!

  • Could you mention the QD Inventory mod ? I know its still WIP, but its much better, then the vanilla inventory, mostly because it has sorting included.

  • @CZLukas666 SWEET I didn't realize that mod included sorting. I always dismissed it cause I didn't think it added that function.

  • I use nvidea 1 gpu and get a good 10 frames drop and strange hitches I went back to normal non-windowed mode because of it.

  • I would recommend downloading Enhanced Shaders with the manager, and install manually. Because then the mod manager will remind you if you are on an outdated version.

  • I didn't get a performance boost with my singular GTX 570, I wonder how much it will improve when I get my second for christmas...

  • 11:21 He says "Now we're going to install thee shit, the advanced shaders..." LOL

  • isnt the official kit coming out in January?

  • @ Windowed question

I use GTX295 and I get at least 20fps drop when using windowed mode.

  • @Pappimen Probably means it is disabling SLI by default when entering windowed mode. You may be able to work around that but I am not 100% sure how as I dont have SLI.

  • @GophersVids Does your 5970 work in internal crossfire when using windowed mode?

  • @RCXDerp No. Seems it gets disabled totally. Which explains the massive boost to performance because crossfire does not work well with Skyrim yet :)

  • Dragon Armor seems to be rediciliosly over priced.

  • your not actually lore friendly here

  • I like the idea of quick update for previous vids, very usefull indead. Can't wait for the tollset and your hud mods. Compass must be removed\shown when needed. I noticed Nvidia drivers on your desktop at the begining of the video. Hope it helps you make more great vids:D

  • SMITHING*

  • The problem with increased darkness is that your visibility is reduced but not for the AI, so enemies will still be able to hit you from a long distance while you will need to get closer to see them properly. If developers could make AI scalable for darkness then realistic nights could be achievable.
