  • His Kingdom is forever

  • Wow!!!!!!!!

  • steven grenn es tenor verdad

  • imcreible voz

  • WOOOOOOOW!

  • This reminds me of Stephen looking into heaven.

  • 12/11/11/, ccb 381

  • Gelobt sei Jesus Christus! Our Lord and Saviour!

  • Wow! That's the first time I've heard him. You can tell he's singing it with all his heart. I like that. I sang this with 2 friends of mine at church about a month ago. One of my favorites.

  • I have seen Steve Green many times in concert. I also remember him being in The Gaither Vocal Band when they first started out. This is excellent.

  • Great song. Too bad the creator of it was anti-semitic.

  • @AthosAmo really I find that hard to believe.

  • @mattsmoski3737 Concerning the fake jews known as Ashkenazim, the fake christian Luther said: "Vengeance a thousand times worse than we could wish them already has them by the throat. I shall give you my sincere advice:

First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them." My source is jewishvirtuallibrarydotorrg.

  • @AthosAmo I think the website you cited would appreciate you citing their clarification statement as well. I'm including it in my next reply. A wise person doesn't pick and choose what supports his argument but includes the whole story.

  • @AMYforHIM That "clarification statement" is not necessary to paste here. My point was that Martin Luther was an anti-semite fake Christian, and I proved it. No more is needed. But I will defend myself from your accusation of cherry picking.

  • @AthosAmo What did you prove? If you go by Jesus's definition of a Christian then its not your job to declare Luther as a "fake Christian" and how would you know? That is Christ's job to determine. Luther could be a Christian and an imperfect sinner as we all are. One of his main messages is that we are saved by God's grace and forgiveness, which is a blessing when we are so apt to judge others' when we shouldn't.

  • @AMYforHIM If you had read the Bible, you would know that we are to judge the heretics. We are not to hate them, but we are to expose them. Paul condemned Peter for hypocrisy. It seems you would condemn Paul for doing so, even though he did right. It's God's Word.

Jesus said not to judge others for what we ourselves do wrong. In other words, you can judge as long as 1. you're not being a hypocrite, and 2. the one you are judging claims to be a Christian or 3. asks for it.

  • @AthosAmo This will be my last comment. As I don't want to distract from the song. I'll let you have the last word here on Youtube, since I know ultimately, Someone else will have the last word. You are slinging your accusations and judgements everywhere.."If I had read the Bible", "It seems I would condemn Paul". I'm not condemning anyone...not even you. Jesus also said, "He who is without sin cast the first stone". I will agree to disagree.

  • @AMYforHIM No one's forced to read our brief argument.

"If you go by Jesus's definition of a Christian then its not your job to declare Luther as a 'fake Christian' and how would you know? That is Christ's job to determine. Luther could be a Christian and an imperfect sinner as we all are"

I alluded to Bible passages showing that you are wrong in YOUR ACCUSATION AGAINST ME that I cannot judge heretics like Luther.

You judged me for judging, so you're guilty of what you accuse me of.

  • "It is impossible for modern people to read the horrible passages below and not to think of the burning of synagogues in November 1938 on Kristallnacht. Nor would one wish to excuse Luther for this text. A number of points must, however, be made. The most important concerns the language used. Luther used violent and vulgar language throughout his career. We do not expect religious figures to use this sort of language in the modern world, but it was not uncommon in the early 16th century.

  • Second, although Luther's comments seem to be proto-Nazi, they are better seen as part of tradition of Medieval Christian anti-Semitism. While there is little doubt that Christian anti-Semitism laid the social and cultural basis for modern anti-Semitism, modern anti-Semitism does differ in being based on pseudo-scientific notions of race. The Nazis imprisoned and killed Jews who had converted to Christianity: Luther would have welcomed them. " *jewishvirtuallibrarydotorg

  • @AMYforHIM There's no such thing as "Christian anti-Semitism." A Christian loves all. I go by Jesus' definition of Christian. Not anyone else's.

Who cares if everyone was anti-semitic back then? It doesn't justify Luther's sin one bit. If I denied that Roman Catholic heretics are historically Jew-haters, then you would have a point.

And Luther would have welcomed only those "Jews" who agreed with him on Jesus. The others he wanted persecuted.

  • Steve Green is awesome...

  • 'A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing; our helper He amid the flood

of mortal ills prevaling'..... Let's remember this when we are facing all kinds of 'mortal ills'. God prevails...forever He stands.

  • He has such an amazing voice. I am so happy he uses it to serve God.

  • Steve should put make an ablum out of this.

  • One of Luther's greatest hymns, written in his age of depression.

  • Absolutely love that he does this a capella. Only a real vocalist is comfortable singing a capella and he does an amazing God. Gave me tingles and made me sweat. Hah.

If only musicians could mean what they sing as much as he did when he sang this. Some might call it playing it up, but it's the job of an artist to do everything they can't to express their art. A little acting isn't wrong at all if it's genuine. But I'm not sure if this is even acting. This guy's going at it.

  • Depression. Friend recommended this. I'd give a standing ovation too--to God!

  • Wow.. he does this acapella... oh my

  • WOOOOW!

  • 14 people cannot hear very well ... ;)

  • bendiciones y paz al cordero de Dios!

  • This is the first time i've heard Steve Green and I must say that he has done a great job with this classic Hymn.

  • My first day at Liberty University in the fall of 87 was also the first Steve Green concert I attended. He performed this just before intermission and I was simply amazed and speechless. It is great to see someone with the heart to match the talent. A wonderful voice, arrangement, song and performance

  • that is real beautiful singing.

  • Martin Luther wrote this hymn during the Reformation. I am a member of Luther's church, and have been since before I was born.

  • @LNER4771 "Luther's Church"?

  • @musico747 The Lutheran Church.

  • @LNER4771 I am a member of Jesus Christ's Church. I follow no man-made creeds, I follow Christ.

Even Luther didn't want his followers to name a religion after him.

  • What's with all this Mormon crap in the promoted videos?

  • he is amazing! I grew up listening to him. Both my partents love his music.

  • Amen!

  • HOW did this crowd sit in SILENCE during this?!?!? I would have been shouting numerous times. The man is singing with all his heart about conquering the enemy of our souls, while "proper Christians" - supposed "soldiers of the cross" - sit by ENJOYING the song? CMON PEOPLE! GET ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

  • @BrosephJacobs People express their joy differently. Your way is not superior to theirs. Only God knows the hearts of those listening in the crowd.

  • @BrosephJacobs But I agree with your longing to stand up and shout!

  • @BrosephJacobs "The LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him." -Habakkuk 2:20

    i bet that's why ;P

  • @BrosephJacobs the army of God almighty does not need to shout, cry or jump, the battle between God and the enemy takes place in the men heart.

  • @BrosephJacobs the army of God almighty does not need to shout, cry or jump, the battle between God and the enemy takes place in the men heart.

  • This is an incredible song and sang amazingly, a capella too.(Sorry if that is spelt wrongly) Steve has an absolutely incredible voice, love it.

  • Classic hymn...well rendered and speaks Truth to encourage the faithful. Steve Green all the way!

  • His look was different - a great singer for God's Glory - may the Lord bless him and his family. Praise and glory be to our God and may we never forget the words of this himn.

  • He's coming to my church in Illinois!! ::) Yay!

  • Thanks for this fine hymn, but unfortunately "anime1217", who has another version of it, just screams hatred at the Catholic Church while Lutherans and Catholics have already subscribed an official Agreement on Justification. We need unity as Christians, but he won't allow anyone to contradict him. They are censored. Sad.

  • I totally agree! I thank our God for this man's singing! The puts the Lord's name high with the strength it should be because our God is mighty and firm :). Praise the Lord!

  • Yes, Martin Luther was human just like the rest of us. He knew Truths from Scripture, but of his era it was accepted to hate the Jews; a heresy based on Amillenialism. All Christians are fallen (as all mankind is) but we are saved only through our faith in Christ Jesus' atonement alone. Not who we are, but WHO HE is!

  • @lanejeta How is anti-Semitism based on amillennialism?

  • @cbcurtis85 The two tend to mesh; both come from poor exegesis (lack of an ability to correctly interpret Scripture in a manner consistent with Scripture).

  • I feel like I'm listening to the opening to RADIO FREE GENEVA!! ;-)

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (October 17), our Sunday School Lesson was taken from Psalm 46:1-7. It was entitled "God Is My Refuge." This was recommended as a Sunday School assembly hymn.

  • Danngg...

  • I have watched this many times; just inspires me.

  • WOW WOW WOW...I feel empowered knowing God has my back today! Amen and thank you!

  • @bob Martin Luther wrote this shortly after he wrote the hateful and demonic book "On Jews and Their Lies."It said they should be killed and their property burned.YOU CAN BUY THIS BOOK! Hitler loved it as he did the hatred Paul wrote about Jews. How can any followr of Jesus sing this song from an instigator of murder. Not only did he hate Jews,he hated peasants.Jesus identifies Paul in Rev2 as the false apostle and the one teaching Balaak Doctrine.Paul says all rejected him from Jesus'church

  • @thedagonjones U have a lot of hate in U. The Jews & Romans banded together & killed Jesus & christians then & now still extend a hand to Jews because God has only 2 witnesses in the earth, Jews & Christians. U are a very bitter jew. Moses Murdered & God forgave him & used him. Levi & Simeon murdered a whole nation of men & I bet U forgive them in your heart even though they were refused the birthright. Luther was not right but he never intend for men like Hitler to so interpret his writings.

  • @knowb4 And the English Protestants banded together and beheaded St. Thomas More, Chancellor of England, for his refusal to acknowledge Henry as the supreme ruler of the English church. Now, while Protestants enjoy spreading enmity about Catholics--no such thing as "Roman" Catholics", this according to the 16 documents of Vatican II and "The Catholic Encyclopedia"--and mock the pope as head of the Catholic Church, we remind you that he is not: the head of the Catholic Church is God.

  • @thedagonjones Paul was certainly a whack job, but the author of Revelations (certainly NOT the by then long dead Jesus - and don't say that Jesus was speaking through the author - that's what they ALL say) was perhaps the biggest whack job ever to set word to paper (or whatever it was originally written on).

  • @BedBugAcres It's "Revelation" without the ending s.

  • @BedBugAcres What do you find in the writings of Paul that lead you to the conclusion that he was a whack job?

Same question regarding the author of the book of Revelation.

  • HAHA!! My mom is so funny..everytime she watches this video, or watches STEVE on video..it kind of scares her to watch him prepare and breathe for his high notes... and even years later.,she still sits on the couch watching and says a prayer that the LORD WILL HELP HIM HIT THE HIGH NOTES... like.. COME ON STEVE... HERE WE GO..."OK LORD LET HIM HIT THE HIGH NOTE...".. she doesnt doubt that he can hit them..I think it just scares her...

  • Actually, isn't this from the 1985 Billy Graham Crusade. I have the cassette tape from that after seeing him on TV. A great performance to be sure.

  • I've had the awesome experience of singing back-up for this man... He is truly a singer of great and moral character blessed to sing to God! Very, very humble guy.

  • why are there discussions here on other stuff apart from the video???

  • @landoblu Why ask why? Same as it ever was, all over Utubia...

  • Wig

  • This is God inspiration!

  • One of my favourites songs! owesome!

  • Amazing!

  • im curious as to how you can deny the absolute truth in the Bible. I dare you to prove it wrong. it is impossible.

  • @ApologistJamesWebb Indeed Allah wrote the Bible, but u've got it wrong.....Allah did not "lie"....the ones who lied were the same ones who changed and altered the Bible to its present adulterated form........the Romans at Nicaea.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 Excuse-me, but What's with you? Are you a terrorist? Every Christian video is being filled with your comments... Let's be careful with him, people!! My friend, this is a quite dangerous thing of you to try to fight against the truth; The Bible is the only book who reveals the true God; that's the problem: false prophets, as Jesus said once, then appearde and istorted the Bible all the ways... That's the reason for so much heresy and councils and business e.t.c;

  • @ApologistJamesWebb Every single one of us is PERSONALLY resposnible for our sins. Jesus was a Prophet who came to teach mankind the way of God so that Man himself is able to stay away from Sins.......Nobody however close to God can redeem another man's sins.

  • A great hymn sung by a great singer.

The way he enunciates the words and gives feeling to them. The man is an artiste.

  • excellent

  • he is gifted

  • WooHoo! Martin Luther. Great song! Praise God.

  • vastagos-adv "vencedor" I recommend this song

  • I've listened to ths several times and still get chills.

  • A great man singing a great song to a great God

  • I thank God for Steve Green and this song.

  • @MrRockbody, I don't, I thank god for this song and Martin Luther who wrote the damn thing, could not care less for Steve Green

  • We listened to just the lyrics of this spoken in chapel this morning.

Psalm 46 is the inspiration for it. =)

    God is great.

  • He has a great voice, God has blessed him. This is one of my favorite hymns.

  • Yo, Steve can sing. Definitely my favourite hymn.

  • wow!

  • I love the way he takes the key signature higher and intensifies the impact of each verse.

  • Youtube comments are never on the freaking video.

  • Steve Green will always be one of my all-time favorites. And this particular old hymn is one of my favorites of his. I remember during an interview he said some doctors wanted to put a tiny surgical camera down his throat and watch his vocal chords as he sang because he had such a rich, pure voice. Little did he know they would ask him to sing . . . "A Mighty Fortress" . . .

I pray God will continue to bless Steve so he can continue to powerfully minister God's Grace and Majesty!

  • @Pilgrimer1 Sola fides , sola justis are also the tenets of Islam , but not Sola Christi , because Christ himself was the slave and messenger of God. He was a Prophet with all the human attributes including marriage and children.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 Interesting. Is this the teaching of the Koran?

  • Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and no he was not a "slave" when he came to Earth to live a perfect life, die on the cross and rise from the dead he did it willingly for all mankind and in obedience to God the Father. God is in three persons: The Father, the son and the Holy Spirit they are the same God...this is an atribute that only God can have.

  • This is an attribute the God of the Nicene Creed can have. Not God who was the Lord of Jesus. Not the God whose Prophet was Jesus.

Why do u guys swallow the lies invented at the Council of Nicea ?? Erasmus , a famous Christian humanist himself showed the Doctrine of Trinity to be a false interpolation into the Bible. And neitehr the Vulgate nor the King James Version have got it right.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 The King James Version doesn't have it right? The Trinity is false? That's a lie. God is quite capable of preserving his word and he has!

  • Yeah right , but the fact is that there are several meaningless , idolatrous interpolations in the Bible. These interpolations were carried out by the Romans when they converted to Christianity. There were plenty of vested interests who did not want Europe to be monothesitic.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 When you say the Romans converted to Christianity what you mean is that they invented Catholicism, this is what they practised. The Catholics did try to pervert the Bible by trying to insert the Apocrypha, this was discovered and rejected.

The Bible has no error, it cannot have error to be from God. The modern English versions of the Bible, however, are perversions! What exactly are you talking about by "several meaningless, idolatrous interpolations"?

  • What I mean is that there were plenty of vested interests in Europe who did not want Monotheism to spread. You must understand , that Jesus stood for Monotheism above everything else. And when u divide God into three forms , you reject the Unity of God , which is the most basic tenet of monotheism. God is one and undivisble , he has no form. God is alone the source of salvation and justification , and if u believe u'll get saved by Jesus on the Cross , thats idolatry , aint it ?

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 I need to look into what Monotheism is all about and may get back to you once I get some info. God is capable of being everywhere I John 5:7 clearly states "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Believing on what Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary to save us from hell and cleanse us from our sin is not idolatry. Why did you think that this is idolatry?

  • @Carlyofyork Of course that ain't idolatry....but believing that God should be worshipped in three different forms definitely is...BECAUSE one of the primary notions of Monotheism is the UNITY OF GOD which means that the existence of God is undivisible....it can't be divided. Also , if Jesus died on the Cross ,how does that mean all the generations to come have been cleansed from sin ??

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 but Jesus himself is God.. allow me to support my believe :

Psalm 16:8, 9 I have set the LORD (Jahova) always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

this words were told by david about Jahweh, right? now next verse:

acts 2:25, 26 " 25 For David says concerning Him: I foresaw the LORD always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken."

if i may explain, Peter stays that who david was talkin about (yahweh)

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 as i was saying who peter stays david was talking about (Yahweh) was actually Jesus. according to psalm 16:8 and acts 2:25 ... if u dont trust the translations, try then the original language, u'll e surprised.

so if david talks bout Yahweh and Peter stays that that "Yahweh" was actually Jesus, how can then Jesus not be God?

  • Ignatius - (98 - 117AD)

"We have also as a Physician the Lord our God Jesus the Christ the only-begotten Son and Word, before time began, but who afterwards became also man, of Mary the virgin."

    Polycarp (70 - 130AD)

"O Lord God almighty... I bless you and glorify you through the eternal and heavenly high priest Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, through whom be glory to you, with Him and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever"

  • Jesus was not a slave, but a humble servant and the Son of God. =) He came to Earth to serve. He came to save us from our sin which separates us from God. He did this out of His love for us! (Something that makes me smile every day.)

    John 8:34-47

  • Esta canción es muy significativa porque fue escrita por un gran hombre en un momento difícil. Martín Lutero fue un confiado de Dios. No importan lo venga. Nosotros confiamos en e nombre del Señor.

  • In my opinion, Steve sings this song as the author would have intended: Strong and powerful. His delivery matches the power of the words. I like the elevation as the song progresses.

  • @SunnytheWeim I thought A Mighty Fortress is a Lutheran song.....to the best of my knowledge , most Lutherans are German/Scandinavian descent. But Steve Green is an British name.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49

It was written by Martin Luther and it became the song of the reformation and eventually most protestants identified with it and now even Catholics sing it too.

  • @BraveMuslimSoldier49 It is in reference to the God of the Bible (YHWH). That is why I like it, regardless of the human origin or the current singer's geneology.

  • @Sunny Martin Luther wrote this shortly after he wrote the hateful and demonic book "On Jews and Their Lies."It said they should be killed and their property burned.YOU CAN BUY THIS BOOK!

  • @thedagonjones Why do you repeat yourself? Luther may have erred seriously in this as did some other Christians, but some Jews have been very bad toward Christians, particularly in early times, and even to Palestinian Christians who had their property taken away by Israelis. Paul was given the right hand of fellowship by Peter (Kepha) and James (Yakob), but some Jewish Christians (Messianists) were against him as they believe all Gentile Christians would have to observe the Law of Moses.

  • I agree... I thank our God for singers like Steve because they sing with the strength of the caracter of God, who is MIGHTY AND FIRM in his WORD and ACTS. Praise the Lord!! :)

  • @SunnytheWeim

I don't think the author (Martin Luther) intended that the song would be sung like that. In the original version the breaks are much shorter, and the last line isn't repeated. Steve sings this sung like a pray, but it is actually supposed to be a battle hymn.

  • WOW!!!What a gifted voice!!Praise the LORD for His gift of voice to Steve Green!!

  • This man was born to sing this song.

  • @jingling30 Wow, what an awesome comment... So much truth in this statement - you're right!

I wish I could think of myself that way... Isaac was born to study, born to serve Christ in schoolwork...

  • @jingling30 Du hast Recht ,der ist geboren dieses Lied zu singen , Ich würde bei diesen Sänger mit in den Krieg ziehen. Mein Langbogen ist gespannt .

  • Wow, what a breath-taking performance! The lyrics and his phrasing are such a story to be heard. God never ceases to amaze me with the talent he places in some for the enjoyment of all.

  • Interesting..so you think that the believers during the millenium will be raptured from the coming judgement? Do you believe in a 2nd secret rapture for these believers? Were they just late for the marriage supper with the Lamb?

  • Not at all. They will be unaffected by whatever means God chooses, but not via a second Rapture. The image I think comes most literally from the text is that the forces assembled by Satan will split off from those faitful to Christ, forming a second mass in the form of their army. This army will then be obliterated by a second acts of God, after which Satan will at last go to his eternal punishment and God will make the universe anew.

  • Well to close there are some things not mentioned in Revelation 20.

First, it does not mention the second coming of Christ. Second, it does not mention a reign on earth. Third, this passage does not mention a bodily resurrection. Fourth, it does not mention Christ on earth. And fifth, it does not mention us, it says "they" lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

I believe Rev 20 is a description of the present reign of the Saints in heaven. Grace and Peace 2U Brother

  • Please be patient while I review the matter to be certain of every detail. But rest assured, I have studied the Bible for years. Your interpretation discards critical portions of text.

  • @RMCDisciple The mentioned resurrection is the 'first' resurrection: i.e.: the resurrection of the Believer IN CHRIST. It is not a bodily resurrection, but one obtained through baptism (Romans 7). There are only two resurrections, the first and second, those who participate in the first are unaffected by the Second Death (i.e.: saved).

  • Comment removed

  • The scriptures never talk of two resurrections. Only one on the last day. If you are still alive when Christ returns, you will be transformed in Glory and if you are dead you will raised from the dead in Glory just as Christ was. Christ was the first fruits of the resurrection as Paul says so we too will be raised from the dead like Christ. All will be raised from the dead and judged. BTW, when we were baptized we died to sin and death in Christ, we were not resurrected at that time.

  • Technically, yes they do. I am NOT a pretribulationist. I can't stand that heresy. The first resurrection is IN CHRIST. Ephesians 2:6 states that we are raised up with Christ and seated in the heavenly places. Obviously this in a spiritual sense, but it speaks to the first resurrection. If there is a FIRST resurrection, there must needs be a second. The partakers of the first resurrection are NOT affected by the second death. They are in Christ and can't be.

The 2nd resurrection is for our body

  • There is also a re-animation if you will of the dead., who are thrown into the lake of fire. The dead do NOT get resurrected bodies. They get earthly bodies back, which are destroyed when they are cast into Gehenna. Everyone will be judged on the Last Day. The 'rapture' is a bunch of foolishness the way the pre-tribbers teach it. I use the term as a slang term to describe the changing of the body of a live believer from mortal to immortal on the Last Day, immediately after the resurrection.

  • The godless do not get a changed body. The righteous do. That is the difference between being resurrected (or if you happen to be alive that day, raptured) and 'coming again to life.' The thought that Believers will be resurrected/changed BEFORE the Last Day is foreign to Scripture and a heresy upon which some are making a LOT of money.

  • I agree with most of what you are saying. I will have to look into the two resurrections though. I agree with your stance on the premillennialists.

  • "Awake thou that sleepest, arise from the dead, and Christ will give thee light."

It's as if it's some big secret . . . although it is the heart and soul of the Gospel . . . being born again is being raised in the spirit from death to life . . . life in heaven . . . life with God. It IS the first resurrection.

CIAfreak, dig a little deeper into Gehenna.

    You are partial preterist?

  • @RMCDisciple The second resurrection is that of Believers' bodies. The wicked are NOT resurrected, not reanimated, only to be cast into Gehenna. The LORD reigned through his people for more than a thousand years. The 'thousand years' is idiomic. (LIke the Japanese phrase Banzai, or the English 'I've told you a thousand times"). The Greek text indicates that Christianity would be in control and have pre-eminence. We did have exactly that, now, we have entered the little season, Satan's release.

  • Actually scriptures clearly teach everyone who ever lived will be resurrected on the last day, and then judged. Hence the "day of judgment." Those who are sent away (to hell) will be tormented in body for eternity.

  • I believe in a literal ressurrection of the dead in Christ first, and those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds.

AV — catch up 4, take by force 3, catch away 2, pluck 2, catch 1, pull 1

Matthew Henry's 18th century commentary on this speaksof a literal ressurrection and a change in the living believers and all being literally caught up into the air!

  • Amen, and in fact those who are resurrected in the dead and those alive who are transformed are "caught up in the air" with Christ to welcome Him as He continues to descend to earth. In the Lord's Prayer, "let Your kingdom come" could just as easily be translated, "let Your reign come." In all of the concrete Scriptures we can interpret readily, Christ descends to earth during the Telos or Second Coming. It is preceded by a loud trumpet call and the enemies of God realize they are finished!

  • John 12:12-13 refers to those in Jerusalem who poured out of the city with palm branches to MEET Jesus at His Triumphal Entry into the city.

This Triumphal Entry meeting appears to be a parallel to the Rapture meeting of 1 Thess 4:17 In both events, people rush forward to Jesus as proclaim him Messianic King and to accompany Him on the remainder of His journey to earth. Tthe saints MEET Christ in the air at His Second Coming.

That simply harmoinizes with the whole counsel of scripture

  • You mean the PAROUSIA, not the Telos. Greek's tough.

  • Adicionado em 121009

  • BEAUTIFUL SINGING

  • Finally a version of this song that is perfect in tempo its hard to find that anymore.

  • Martin Luther knew all about the jews and wrote much about their evil ways. Yashua Messiah said in many passages that the jews were literally the children of Satan..(John 8:44 being the main one) and the disciples in Acts "barred the doors for fear of the jews".. these demons in flesh bodies are planning to kill off the entire world..They created communism, international banking and that genocidal abomination in the middle east. Wake up, you who are in apostate "jewdeo-christianity"!

  • huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu... mui belo

  • Luther should never have doubted the power of Faith coupled with Good Works.

This song is a fine example of such things.

  • He wrote: "Absurd theologians defend hatred for the Jews. ... What Jew would consent to enter our ranks when he sees the cruelty and enmity we wreak on them—that in our behavior towards them we less resemble Christians than beasts?" But Were They Good for the Jews? (New York: Birch Lane Press, 1997), p.65.

  • he was not racist, he condemned the jews for ignoring the truth Jesus Christ and that through him we had salvation. at first he tried to convert them but failed.

"He expressed concern for the poor conditions in which they were forced to live, and insisted that anyone denying that Jesus was born a Jew was committing heresy" The World Must Know, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, pp. 8-9.

  • he stated "There is no other explanation for this than the one cited earlier from Moses — namely, that God has struck [the Jews] with 'madness and blindness and confusion of mind.' So we are even at fault in not avenging all this innocent blood of our Lord and of the Christians which they shed for three hundred years after the destruction of Jerusalem, and the blood of the children they have shed since then (which still shines forth from their eyes and their skin). "

  • luther was not racist, he always have believed salvation comes through faith, and believed jews should be converted.

the jews woul turn their back on him and then he reacted over the years

  • also :

"I had made up my mind to write no more either about the Jews or against them. But since I learned that these miserable and accursed people do not cease to lure to themselves even us, that is, the Christians, I have published this little book, so that I might be found among those who opposed such poisonous activities of the Jews who warned the Christians to be on their guard against them." Philadelphia: Fortress Press, 1971, 47:137

  • also stated :

"If I had been a Jew and had seen such dolts and blockheads govern and teach the Christian faith, I would sooner have become a hog than a Christian. They have dealt with the Jews as if they were dogs rather than human beings; they have done little else than deride them and seize their property." (Philadelphia: Fortress Press, 1962), pp. 200-201, 229.

  • luther wrote :

"Conversion of the Jews will be the work of God alone operating from within, and not of man working — or rather playing — from without. If these offences be taken away, worse will follow. For they are thus given over by the wrath of God to reprobation, that they may become incorrigible, as Ecclesiastes says, for every one who is incorrigible is rendered worse rather than better by correction."

  • Luther was one of the greatest christians that ever lived. For men to slander and malign him without understanding the times and circumstances in which he lived is cheap and typical for the crass and arrogant days in which we live. He was far from perfect as are we all, but as to being used by God, I rank him next to Paul the apostle. May God raise up in our day men with half the fortitude he posessed to stand against deceit and proclaim the biblical gospel regardless of the cost.

  • I agree 100% with your comments. Its nice to see some people with understanding on youtube.

  • What Luther wrote may be considered anti semetic but then again it may not be. His writings against the Jews MUST BE UNDERSTOOD in the light of the social and political times in which he lived. Those who are quick to condemn Luther always fail to include the many positive quotes where he wrote in favour of the Jews. They therefore paint an imbalanced picture of Luther , no doubt to support their own biased agenda. What Luther wrote might actually be right. Let God himself judge him.
