@joanal12 I agree, long hair does give personality! I LOVE long hair on guys! Hair does grow back you know! He is fine with his hair the way it is now and it is up to him what he does with it. He was just having a trouble back then getting a job, that is just the way this crazy world is that we live in...first impressions and people judge and so on.

Trust me, I did like his long hair and it was HIS choice to finally get it cut, not mine! He is 20 years old and I can't make him do anything he does not want to do. It is good to know that you have friends with long hair who have found good jobs...unfortunately my son was not having any luck at all. I don't think that men should have their hair short either!

Well I can see where you are coming from as a Mom but persoanally I liked the long hair better....He is a very handsome man thats for sure with both short or long hair. I didnt care for the matting (dreads) that were in the before picture but if it was combed through geez I could picture running my fingers through it :p Did I just type that....yep sure did...lol.

Thanks! I also liked his hair long but he has such curly hair that it looked like dreads, lol.  He would hardly ever comb through it but there were a few times when he put it back in a pony tail and it looked nice. I know that he misses his long hair but I told him that it's not like he can never grow it back. He just needs to find a job first and then go from there...just see if they will allow him to have longer hair. I kind of felt happy/sad when he got it all cut off, lol.

Looks great to me. I am the Mom ot two sons one is age 32(he has long hair and is in the art business)the other son is 29 and has very short hair and works as a chef. Over the years they have had long and short, but I think the short just looks neat. IMHO

Thank you. I liked him with the longer hair but it has been years since I have seen him with a short haircut and he has applied at so many jobs and has not had any responses. I know that the economy is bad and that may be a part of it, but I also know that unfortunately some people do judge someone on their appearance when first meeting them.

Because he could not find a job anywhere and he is 20 and has only had two jobs. With the economy the way it is, they are not going to hire someone with long hair over someone with short hair. I am not going to support him either, LOL! That is just the way society is, unfortunately. They judge people on how they look...first impressions mean everything.

Thanks. I did feel a bit bad when he cut it off because he has had it that way for such a long time and he just loved his hair. It is really a shame that society is like that. I told him that once he gets a job and as long as they will allow it, I am sure that he can grow it out again.
