@NESTORBAZAN02 well they american racing wheels,forget what kind,they r 15x10,tiresthat r on it, couldnt quite tell you,but I would go with 295/50/15, they r a lil wider than these and wont balloon out as much as these because the tread is wider.Hope this helps man.

I got a 92 but its tbi. I blew the first one up in a week and had a new one built. 350 block. 30 over flat top pistons and mild cam. Wanted a bigger one but I was told it would mess up the fuel/air ratio that's why I asked. I tell everyone its a 355 if they ask but this right here is a true 355. Sounds beast. Did you have to change anything besides intake to make it carb or can you just change intake and put carb on and it run right?

@1992jbryan Hptuner,Cam, is about all i can think of motor wise you could change the rear gear ratio for better launches, shift kit in the trans for a more firm shift that is all stuff you can do with out taking the motor completely out of the truck the cam would be the most intense but can be done over a weekend. if you are looking for some different ideas send me a message and i'll think of something and i can send some links.

@cokewhitechevy convert it to a carburated, if your runnin a 700r4 tranny you need a torque converter lock up kit for overdrive. get the engine built with about 9.5-1 compression, get rid of the GM rods, get some good 64cc heads (vortech have decent flow numbers for the price or patriot) valve spring to handle the extra cam lift, and a good cam like the Lunati voodoo 60104lk. oh and at least 1 5/8 headers. The rest is exhaust bud. thats a decent build for about 400 hp 425 tq give or take

i found 1 camshaft i can legally run in my 1994 GMC in Ca and, be able to pass emmision laws but, its pretty mild.

its so strick out here now you cant run any cat-converters other than OEM replacments and licenced exhaust business's have to keep track of who,when and why they are installed.

Really tho, i think smog is just a money maker out here.

Ca residents like me are over taxed, controlled, and this state will soon be a cop state. i see the signs everywher

I have 91 silverado had a 305 in it an i wanted more power so i bought a 350 block stripped it down and hard it bored out to a 383. it still street legal and sounds exactly like this truck here. but i also have headers, 3in pipe all around, K&N intake an a hypertech chip to smooth it out. looks jus like a 350 on the smog machine but when you wanna go it leaves ricers in the dust...i mainly use it for towing tho its a beast

now i got a quick question...i got a 1990 gmc sierra with a 350 tbi and i blew the head gaskets..now when i dug into the motor then heads...now to make a long story short...my buddy got nicely mild build 350sbc with a carb seteup that he wants to sell cheap...now im curious to know if i can just throw my tbi intake setup on that motor and run it with out any problems? cause i just dont want to deal with the hassel of converting over to carb.your advice and opinion would be greatly appreciated

@altima1997 Well,like I said in mine, mine is carbed. It all really depends on what heads you have on it. You have to have centerbolt heads on it. Those are the fuel injected heads, A stock tbi manifold will bolt right up to these heads, but not the older style. And also, if the motolrhas a bigger cam, that also brings up an issue with the trucksfactroy computer. It will run the truck lean and slowly kill the engine. If you wanted a cam, you might also have to upgrade with a chip.

Love that truck man! Just wondering what rim/tire set up you have there, those almost look like the factory rims, but the rears look a lot wider. I have a 1990 GMC Sierra GT with a 350 small block with the tbi. I was also wondering what you think would be better for my truck. 350 .030 bore(355) 383 stroker, or a 454 BBC. I can't decide which one to go with. I am on a tighter budget than some adults (Only 16) but I think I could build the motor myself if that helps.

@mclachlan007 Man if your on a budget, Tottally go with the 355. 454's are hard to find and parts are harder to come by, 383's are nice but not as reliable and require a whole lot of maching. 355 is basically just a freshened up 350. Super easy to find parts for, That and if you do it right, You will be really happy with the result, That is the engine that is in this truck.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with the 355 then. I was talking to my dads friend and he has a 355 in his dirt track car, and it seems like a very streetable motor, with a 355 I could even run it in the winter time and not worry about always over powering, ha ha. I already have a 350 block, so I wouldn't have to go buy one. I like those rims too. When summer rolls around I want to get a new set, I am just running eagle alloy 15x9 right now. Do you mind if I ask what the name of those are

Well, first off, sounds like you gotta hell ofa deal on that motor. You aint gotta get a stall unless you wanna race, and I would suggest some stouter bands for the tranny, 700r4's are defanently not known for their strength. Im not sure what the cam specs were on it, but it had a single flow with 3 inch inlet, dual 2 1/2 outlets with big turndowns.

what size cam is on this, I just bought a 350 off ebay with a 305 duration 525 lift comp cam with world sportsman heads just built from a guy for 850...he needed the money bad.. its got 10 to 1 hypo pistons etc...will it sound like this? yours sounds great, this was an impulse buy..Now Im told I gotta get SFI flexplate 3000 stall converter, better clutches on my 700 r4..any info you can give I will welcome. Im running a 65 chevy longbed with stock 12 bolt 373 gears & flowmaster 40 2/14 pipes
