wow do u know how long ive been tryin to find the name of this song its been like 20 years since ive heard it wow my mom n dad use to play it n i like it but never knew the name of it
thats one tiny record, nice to hear this song. Its a first for me, i also have to say like nobody else has mentioned it that, that record player just screams luxury
this takes me back to my childhood..... im still only 31, but my mom is a massive fan of John holt (we've seen him him live twice!) so i grew up to his music.... love trojan records too, one of my faves this! thankyou!!
@Reggae45s Edward "Bunny" Lee was a major Jamaican music producer responsible for many hits (Delroy Wilson, Johnny Clarke) and much dub. Still alive today.
This tune saddens me, reminds me of my first love that had to come to an end because mummy did'nt approve..............he's still out there somewhere, drives a London taxi!!!.. ;-(

Reggae45, Which is the original, The Treasure Isle or The Sunshine versions? Whatever the case maybe, both of them sound good.

@krazeerrol You never know, records were released on a bunch of different labels back then
Reggae45s 5 months ago
@krazeerrol Ken Boothe did it first for Studio One in the sixties then Sir John Holt in the early seventies on the same label. Hope that helped. :+)

@krazeerrol This song was written and sung by Ken Boothe as rocksteady for Coxson Dodd / Studio One in 1967. This is John Holt's version, in1970.

I was about 17 when I played organ and piano on this session. I was part of the Soul Syndicate Band at the time. Great Bunny Lee Production.
