@thewardrums not to rule evans out but remo is a nicer head. evans puts a tiny hole around the perimeter of every one the heads thats suppost to "disrupt the transmission of the high overtones found near the edge of a drumhead" but thats bullshit. its causes the heads to tear and break faster. so u gotta just by more heads. also, take 2 heads, remo and evans, then bend them back and forth. see which one bends more. evans is cheap

@Bigrigmig1 Those holes are only in one or a few models i believe. It's all about personal preference man. A lot of people use Evans heads because their great, and a lot of people use Remo heads because their great as well. I don't think one is much better than the other. I'm familiar with the way Evans heads sound on my kit, and i like it, so i stick with that. They're defenitely not cheap, that's nonsense!
