The quality of this video seriously sucks. . . I don't have the fastest connection at times, and I would have no problem letting this video load... but alas it was in the poorest quality available.
yeah I heard that in Japanese "l" is similar to "r" bur Arucard backwards Dracura ?? which is WTF but Alucard backwards Dracula I guess eveybody knows Dracula so isn't it obvious that it's not Arucard But Alucard
No, they mistranslated it. In Japanese there's very little difference between 'l' and 'r.' another example of this is Teletha Testarossa in FMP. Teresa would be a much better translation for a person of Italian origin, but they chose to go with the 'L.'
for real? in german, they translate it with Teresa and Alucard. but to be honest, i like the german translations much more. and hellsing is the only anime which i like more in german than in japanese
its arkard because of the japanese L R "thing" and in japanese, you dont have to say every U. like in Desu. some people say des, some people say desu.
@Ripper177 The whole Arkard thing is a mistranslation, Kohta Hirano said it's 'Alucard, because it's Dracula spelled backwards. Don't you get it?' Is what he said to Crispin Freeman and Talisen Jaffee when they visited him. ( He said it like "Arucard, because it's Dracura spelled backwards.", they tried mimicking him. xD Kohta is pretty funny. )
its literally 'spelled' "A RU KA RU DO", but the engrish adaptation of that is simply 'arucard' or 'alucard' because the way it is spoken leaves out the final vowel
@DeVileDanish No, Kohta Hirano already cleared this up. It IS Alucard, but there is no definite L in the Japanese alph. so when they say things, or spell things, it's like "Arucard" / "Arkard" /" Akado." But it -IS- Alucard.
@Himurakenshin3001 Probably because the point of his name is that it's "Dracula" backwards, and if you're going to pronounce it with an L there's no good reason to spell it with an R.
i love the english dub. in my mind its the best anime voice over ever, plus as many orignal dub only claimers seem to foget alot. is that it actully british charecters hehe :) and alucard's voice is just spot on in english! (same goes for the others apart from the major. he sounded down right mad in the ogrinal dub <3)
the production crew of this anime was smart. they kept the original voices. alucard, anderson and walter were the two voices i found to be the perfect cast for these characters. including yan and luke.
Sorry, no idea about the eurpoean release date. check the anime news network site or IGN. They usually have release dates. not sure about IGN for anime though.
No, I don't really go in for subs. I prefer to wait for the dub in the language anything set in england is supposed to be in. (A note: I will delete any flames from sub fanatics)
Don't worry I am not a sub fanatic. I just think it is cool to watch in both languages but then is nothing like when it comes out in English and you can hear the cool different accents in America. Like Bleach I am watching the subs that are at episode 136 and here where it is in episode 44.
I get defensive when someone calls me a liar and still doesn't know what they're talking about. This was ripped straight from the DVD. Google hellsing ultimate and go to their site. You can watch this trailer. If I had made this, I would have said so.
again, you get all defensive and i didn't call you a liar, in any way for that matter. The "Hellsing Ultimate", OK, that was my mistake. I didn't knew HU and the VOA were the same thing. So i'm sorry you perceived my words like that.

Wow... for once, the English dub of an anime doesn't sound bad at all! They sound very similar to their original actors. I'm impressed.
x0tennisx3 2 years ago 2
They ARE the original actors. At least it's still Crispin Freeman as Alucard.

Whats with the quality crapping out at about 1:20?
DarkStar2441 3 years ago
The ripper I used does scenes with movement poorly, so that probably messed it up.

the english voice actors are amazing, especially the wide variety of irresistable and sexy accents! PRRR!

The One that Made this AMV my fav Yan Valentine. And I think Icognito's voice would be better for Alucard. Although it is good.

This anime is awesome in japanese, however it is really hard to beat the english version of this anime! The voices are perfect!

To be honest I prefer Dubs. That way you can focus on the anime by not constantly glancing at the subtitles.

Something likes this needs to be in english. It seems somehow not right having an e nglish setting with japanese speakers

there is no "Hellsing Ultimate"
these are just clips and stuff from the OVA with some nice music put in it.... nice try though
happyking9 4 years ago
Nice show of ignorance. Hellsing Ultimate series is what they're calling the OVA. Know what you're talking about before you insult someone.
Himurakenshin3001 4 years ago
i know what i'm talking about, i've seen both the series & the OVA.
you shouldn't get all defensive and stuff just because someone doesn't know a trivial name for something.
And as I said: Nice try for making it look like a movie though. (Which, btw, is something positive)
