Which cpu do you have?

Overclocking the cpu is almost the best solution for getting higher frames. But if the graphicscard is a major bottleneck, then the results of the overclock could be disappointing. One question: what is jetmax 737? Something like the PMDG NGX?

@No1ForFlightSimVids Recently made purchase of the awesome FD Solutions Jetmax 737. however it is yet to arrive but we are wanting to prepare the pc for it.

We currently have 3.1Ghz and 12GB of RAM. however we are looking to overclock as we think boosting the processing power will benefit us. whats your opinion mate? Maybe not within your knowledge but thought you might know.

@rsj101 well OC the processor is always going to be good, i OC mine and it has been a big help in using fsx @ high settings but the ram plays a big part tho. anything under 1600Mhz 6gb in my opinion when OC wont be good and i know. i had big problems to get it stable.

@rsj101 when i bought this pc the ram speed was 6gb 1066Mhz and once i started to ad addons for fsx it went downhill so i went and got 6gb@1600Mhz and OC the ram @2000mhz +the processor witch has been a been a bigger help.but as i say i got alot of help in OC my pc so what i say don't take it for granted :)

Very nice vid :) I like your style. May I ask which graphics card you have? I want to reduce my microstutters and blurries as far as possible; do you think it will be a big improvement to replace my 1600mhz (4gb) for a 2000mhz ( 4 / 8 gb) set? My cpu isn't the bottleneck because its the i5-2500k @4.5ghz with an overclocked GTx470 kicking his ass... I also got a SSD which is completely dedicated to FSX!

@OfficialXzyl as the guys are telling you mate OC it to 4.5GHz does alot more than 3,2 mate.. i had mine @3.2 and it wasn't the best with high settings no matter how good my card was .. you say you have 6gigs of ram but @ what speed? mine is @2000Mhz and that is fast mate.. when i had my old ram the speed was 1066Mhz and having that low of ram speed is not worth a wank when using fsx because i know i had it..

@OfficialXzyl my default was 2.6Ghz just like U.but i got a better Liquid Cooling system and i could OC it @4.5Ghz but it took days to get it to be stable.OC is something you don't mess around with unless you really know what you are doing. how to tell the speed of them ram is download CPUZ or EVEREST Home Edition freeware. just google them and it will tell you nearly everthing about the pc ram speed etc well everest will tell you everthing the payware one.. the ram speed should be on the box 2

@No1ForFlightSimVids You multiply it by 2 to get your actual RAM speed (666 x 2 = 1333). DDR stands for Dual Data RAM so it looks like the speed is 1333Mhz
