  • Santos president!!

  • i bet those 3 american CIA agents retired after being hostage for 10 yrs Lmao

  • The best communist is a dead one. If you give any of these SOB a change to rule..to be an elected oficial, once there, he/she will make sure your rights to disagree and protest are taken away !.

  • Radio however, Suisse Romande will first report on July 4th, the ransoms of 20 million dollars which have received FARC after which a staged liberation operation was made.

  • Pay by ignorants that gave opinions about topics they don´t comprehend. "What goes around, come around" eh cowboy? The drugs that your youth, your executives, your sports athletes, your artists, your neighboors consume... pay foreign wars, to crazy MF terrorist trying to overtrown democracies like ours, like your. Its good you brought the topic... so we can learn who is paying who in reality? It hits you hard when you understant how ignorat you are listening at your own voice, right?

  • Yeah... keep thinking that the hostages were paid... of course they were paid. "Pay" by your countrymen who sniff their noses with cocaine in every nightclub throughout northamerica.. payment that goes to the FARC, the biggest drug cartel in the world. That kidnaps, steal, murder and traffic drugs to sustain this kind of violence.... pay by your countrymen. Ignorant northamericans that live in a huge island called USA and have absolute no clue of what is going on out side of their borders...

  • No, they're Santa's fan club members.

  • your ignorance is annoying

  • Well said!

  • Yeah... paid ..... the were force to pay 6, 10 years in captivity by this ideological nuts, who still think they are fighting for Marxism equality, social reforms and helping of the poor. What kind of twisted mind would think you will save people by kidnapping more people? FARC are an anacronism from our times. Dinosaurs of the past living under long dead ideas that were crushed when comunism and the wall fell in 1991.

  • Ulysses Trojan Horse, German Rescue of Benito Mussolini, Israeli Entebbe Rescue Operation, Peru´s Japanese Embassy Rescue Operation and Colombia´s Jungle Rescue: Operation Jaque (Check, as in Check Mate)

Simply put.. the took it out of the field! blowing everybody´s mind.

Military men around the globe are still wondering: What the hell was that??

  • Could you imageine the level of secrecy involved in this operation? That every single FARC terrorist was fooled on to the exchange and not a single shot was fire!

This marvelous piece of military operation rivals next to Otto Skorzeny´s rescue of Mussolini in WWII an rivals with the most famous ruse of all time, The Troyan Horse, don´t you think?

  • Tru this messages they were drove to the site were thr videos were shot and the exchange was made. The stupid terrorists tought they were handing them to other guerrilla squadron... in reality they were giving them freely to the Colombian government which had fooled them during more than a year.

The orange helicopters were just part of the plan to play with their minds. Guess they should train their eyes better in recognizing helicopters schemes next time, ha?

  • In reality, they were fooled by Colombian Army intel and by a deep undercover penetration into their own ranks, that lasted more than a year!

Their comunications were intercepted and the Colombian intelligence officers were able to decypher their messages. In turn, new decieved messages were entered into the channels of the guerrilla´s middle ranks, the ones in charge of the hostages.

They were tricked in to think they were speaking with their bosses in the FARC high command.

  • Our Colombian Army, always as resourcefull and imaginative, came with the crazy idea to mount an operation so wild in conception, that dealed with the ruse of painting the two helicopters with white and orange, similar to the Venezuelan SAR, in order to fool the guerrillas mind and trick them into think they were just moving the hostages in to a mountainous location.

  • ANTILLARD, get it straight man: this operation was so succesful, that the Colombian Army disguised two of its own Mi-17 russian made helicopters, as both Mi-17 SAR (Search And Rescue) helicopters also used by Venezuela in previous "humanitarian" liberations done earlier in the year in Colombian jungles.

The terrorist goup FARC, erroneously called guerrillas (or freedom fighters if you like) treat the Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez as their ideological allied in the region.

  • whoever is translating sucks!!!!!

  • @dhowe729 You think translating and listening at the same time is easy, right?

  • Con dinero de por medio o no, lo importante es la vida de los secuestrados.

With money in between or not, the main importance is those hostages' lifes right?

    Message sent from Costa Rica

  • Im a Colombian, I think like many People in the world, that the FARC ARE A TERRORIST GROUP SUCH AS ETA. Young people in Colombia is cheated to join guerrilla with the "False doctrine of the communism". They have to left behind and forget their families, to live in the jungle full of deseases, to take care of drug laboratories,

to kidnap inocent people and kill them if they dont get the money what they want, just for few money. Do you want to join them???

  • why did she get hired? she does not make scence, she doesnt translate acurately. i just hate CNN.

  • because its an american broadcast... and they know americans are a bunch of idiots who will just beleive wtv she says.

and they are probably paying this chicano bitch 5 50 an hour

  • We don´t forget two courageous soldiers that fell into farc's hands 11 years ago: JOSE LIBIO MARTINEZ and PABLO EMILIO MONCAYO. See the video PATASCOY here in youtube.

  • Does anybody know about the role Mossad played in the operation? Apparently, one or two leaks have been published about secret Israeli masterminding, or at least involvement, in the daring rescue.

  • I heard that the Israeli secret service trained the Columbian people that needed to infiltrate the FARC, and that the US Army has supplied the columbian government with satellite images.

  • wait a minute. the venezuelan Govt provided the aircraft and the hand over was pre arranged with FARC ? Is that right. Or ?

  • I dont think so. The FARC would have never let go those hostages. Not even for millions of dollars. I dont know about the aircraft being venezuelan though. But the handover was not pre arranged

No quise ofenderte. ABAJO EL COMUNISMO! MUERTE A LOS PERROS DE LAS FARC!

  • thanks god!!!

  • wow, i wonder how much USA paid the FARC to release Ingrid?

  • Do you think it was more than the $300 Million Hugo Chavez pays? It is really sad that you feel the need to diminish an event that led to freedom for these hostages. You ought to also hope that you are never in need of similar assistance should you be kidnapped or placed in danger.

  • are you for real ntmanwaring?? HAHAHA, you guys make me laugh. We all know USA has been involved in this so called-operation rescue..MORE LIKE A BUY OUT for political purpose.

  • I whis the lady who did the translation were more fluent in Spanish since she just translated parts of the conversations, which makes it difficult to understand what is going on and who is talking. For instance it was Cesar from the Farc who did not let the press to interview the hostages. She took a long time to realize what was happening.

  • yeah, she sucks ass, necesitan mejores traductores!

  • thats great I must admit very risky as well, now I know is not the right thing to do, but thats just me that Im kinda evil, I wouldve lifted the hell out of there and call in the attack helicopter to wipe the remaining guerrilla but this guys did one hell of a good job, bravo colombia my respects

  • thank God she is free now!

let's keep praying for the rest of the people who are still in hands of the FARC.

  • CONGRATULATIONS COLOMBIA!

  • Gracias Amigo =).

  • fuck,, farc ,,COLOMBIA ARMY IS THE BEST,,...

A BIG HUG FROM COLOMBIA , WELCOME TO COLOMBIA,

  • have the translator woman some kind of latinamerican accent or its my imagination??

  • I can see by the comments that all the leftist rats are agitated by this great victory of the Colombian people, against left wing, marxist murderous assassins, namely the FARC...Looks like all their leaders are on the run, castro in Cuba is on his death bed,the Cuban people are awaiting his death with great happiness, chavez is completely discredited, he was caught helping the FARC..the North Koreans are blowing up their nukes.IRAQ is looking GOOD.victory is before us. LOOKS LIKE BUSH WAS RIGHT!

  • AMEN Qbanolibre! You are right! Tyranny can never survive! Bush was right!!!

  • If Iraq is looking good, I invite you to take a trip there

  • BY THE WAY FOLKS....It's spelled COLOMBIA not Columbia...that's the sports garment company...

  • Lol, FArc got so owned!

  • i am very glad for them , it was a very clean operation, about the media.. they were "dealing" some of the hostages.. so the media was involved, that was not live by the way, the intencion was to negotiate when the helicopter was going to move em where they "were" supposed to go, they were fooled.. i am colombian and its sad how they got kidnapped but i am very proud of what the gov and the inteligence group did.

  • They had no reason to air it except for giving it away. Maybe it was a mistake but they had time to think about it before they aired it. The government of Columbia had little to do with the airing of the operation. It was most likely the American government and for the same reason that I stated. It's just way too odd and illogical to air an undercover op like that. They could have just stated simply that the hostages were saved and that's it.

  • Its called propaganda. To demoralize the FARC

  • No it was factual. Anything factual is not propaganda. The operation as aired was exactly how it was done.

  • Can anybody track and state how much the Osama family actually owns? What stock they have in other people's names? All that money from that oil. Hhhhmmmmm I wonder who gave them the most. They have of not their foot, at least a toe in everything.

  • I wonder of the media's intention. They aired the whole operation! They aired the secret. That was truly unwise because people will be more strategic and malicious perhaps. It is one thing that the group and their associates are aware of the plan but now the whole world is. So was this a mistake by the media or a way to benefit someone we do not see just in case this happens again? I have a feeling it was with bad intention and there is much more going on.

  • The media didn't air the operation, the government did... and for political reasons

  • This is much easier said than done but if we are able to accomplish that then we are able to prevent this from happening again. That is guaranteed by the wisdom of humanity all throughout history this has been a hidden truth.

  • Although many times governments will take their anger out on the group they hold in content which causes agitation. They see their colleagues and friends in pain but do not see the intentions of the other side and that results in unfair treatment however if they are able to remain solid then they will be able to prevent this from ever happening again because history repeats itself unless we can close the chapter. Anger is not zeal and a temper never resolves the root of the problem.

  • This was a very honorable operation and whoever thought of the helicopter is truly admirable for their non-violence and wisdom to know that hastiness and thoughtlessness costs lives. Although if the people who held the hostages are tortured or beaten then that intention becomes contradiction. It is much wiser to detain suspects and criminals as equals and without harm. They are more willing to cooperate and it does not cause agitation amongst other groups unseen that are tied to them.

  • I got so choked up when I saw this video. The expressions on their faces when they learn they are being rescued? Absolutely priceless! THEY ARE FREE! I can't imagine what they must have went through for those 6 long years in captivity. I'm so happy for them and for their families. And like alisonbunting, I am eagerly awaiting the movie!

  • Can't wait for the epic movie to come out.....congratulations to everyone who was involved.

  • Ass-kicking? There was no ass-kicking. That's the beauty of this...it's about being duped, fooled. No shots; no violence.

  • That's what I'm telling you, if you read the accounts, there certainly was good ass-kicking. The two FARC minders that went into the Helo to accompany the hostages were beaten, drugged, and arrested. They are in custody with bruises and black eyes. That is a good thing, why not appreciate it?

  • It's not a good idea to kick anybody's ass especially when you are supposed to be the good guy. That just makes them as bad as the bad guy so what the hell is the point? Why are you defending ill intention when it could compromise your safety in the future?

  • Oh quit being a fool and a puss. This is why YOU would never be able to rescue a hostage. The armed FARC guys aboard the helicopter were obviously a threat and had to be dealt with swiftly. Do you think they'd just sit there twiddling their thumbs as they realized the hostages were being rescued and were celebrating? Besides, anyone who'd participate in hostage taking of civilians deserves death, not just a beating. They are too lucky.

  • The hostages were alive. They rescued them peacefully not to risk anymore lives. Your mentality deserves a deportation or jail time. Absolute lack on integrity and logic. Shut the hell up.

  • They would not have been alive if it was not for a peaceful and intelligent effort. Your mentality is why innocent people die you moron so I have had enough of people like you.

  • The FARC terrorists deserved to be raped with a wooden pole for holding these poor people in chains away from their family for 8 years. I have no sympathy for them.

  • That was the mentality of those stupid fucking idiots that raped those prisoners. That was never truly addressed either. That was truly disgusting and no other country would do that. It's just even more embarrassment and ignorance on America's part.

  • Idiot

  • dude this is not about kicking ass. this is about the freedom of the hostages and the world. this is an important step for our democracy and of course a happy end for the hostages. and yeah congratulations to everyone involved in this amazing rescue.

  • Democracy doesn't exist

  • Oh, then blow your head. There's no hope.

  • Murderous Oppressive Dictatorships exist

  • This is democracy

It is proof of a base and low mind for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people. Giordano Bruno

Marxism works, it is ignorance, greed and American culture that ruined this world.

  • This is farking excellent.
