lol....All kinds of people kept sending me free farm animals and trying to get me to start a farm!! I guess it's good I didn't get started because I have an addictive personality!!!
I figure I must not be too addicted if my crops have died and my pet ran away cause I didnt feed it for so many days. I am not sure how a virtual pet can get hungry. I try not to worry too much about what will happen when I am not there. I play out of boredom
Start a small garden. Get pots and potting soil and start trying to grow fruits and vegetables. Potatoes and carrots are pretty easy to grow. It's practical and we can appreciate what God provides for us. Better than a virtual farm.
Oh, farmville...I used to be addicted too...but it will be boring after a time don't worry! :) Now I'm only addicted to YT, Facebook, chocolate and music. :) How to deal with it? Well, I don't think it's harmful and I don't spend the whole day in front of the computer and don't eat chocolate everyday. :) The key is temperance as the Bible says.
I havent tried facebook but my younger sister is addicted to the farmng game there. I used to be addicted to the farming and house construction in run escape though, so I can see where it might be easy to over-farm on facebook lol. I still play several games, like lands of kes project (old LoK clone game) and lord of the rings online, but have for the most part burned out on those.
Thank Goodness spring is here, time to get down to some real gardening with far better results :)
I have a FB account, and tried several of the apps there. Turns out, that I never went there anyway, so I recently went in, posted a short explanation, and cleared out all apps, most friends, and quite a few of my "causes" and other things. I still keep it, but it's just another communication blog area, to me. My addiction? YOUTUBE!!! (and yeah, I know, I need to deal with that, too.)
after MONTHS of harassment, I finally created an account. It's not my real name, and I haven't been back since the 2nd day I created it. I don't even remember the password. :oP
My sister talks about that Farm thing and it is yawn inducing.
Too late there Pastor Mike, waaaayyyy to late ;) But there is a grain of truth in there. THanks for sharing.

I used to play it a lot, but the fun-factor got quite lost. It's been replaced on other games though.
