  • Troy, is this fan considered a decoration?

    -Marshall

  • i need one of those

  • *knock knock knock* penny *knock knock knock* penny *knock knock knock* penny!!!!

  • what would happen if you put a wall control on this fan?

  • Do you know what year this fan is from? Also, do you know the size/diameter (looks like 52" maybe?)

    Thanks.

  • I did enjoy this video...very neat fan! It is a bit noisy, so I probablywouldn't use it in a bedroom, but for a porch or garage it would be perfect. What I like most is the simplistic, basic design, and I also like the fact that it has 4 blades, rather than 5 (or 3, or 6). For some reason, a 4-blade fan is just more appealing to the eye...for me anyway :)

Thankyou for sharing this most unusual, and interesting fan.

  • I would probably sleep through this fan running lol. Ive seen a fan kinda similar and also had only 1 speed, and it was medium. and it wasnt noisy like that though lol

  • Do you think you can make a video of it without the blades on? If you do I would really appereciate it if you could send it to me. Thanks! : )

  • @Dafanmon2500 UNBLOCK ME NOW!

  • @Dafanmon2500 REMOVE ME FROM YOUR BLOCKLIST AND YOUR DISLIKE LIST NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't see one of these having an early failure but it's still very noisy and made of plastic.

  • how many inches is it

  • hahaha nice

  • my sister sez she needs noise (from a fan) to help her sleep. this might help her!

  • it also stops faster then the modern fans

  • @yoheath66 i have a mid 90s fan that stops a little bit quicker than the other fans in my house because of the moisture and heat in the kitchen (i think)

  • I think I'll stick with good old brushless lol

  • okay this fan, is really awesome! 5 out of 5 stars. but you know.. this fan would be less noisy when greased! :)

  • Sounds like an old Subway car!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome it would help me sleep

  • Gresse will make it more less noisey.

  • Put grease on the gears!!!

  • gears made it loud

  • very loud

  • That fan is a Panama ceiling fan. It's very rare today. It's not supposed to be that loud. Very cool fan.

  • I like the fan

  • can opener.

  • It sounds like the 220v fans we have here. All the fans here make that "zingzingzingzing" sound, whether gear driven or not.

I have to say that this one's pretty loud!

  • It may be a POS, but it is pretty cool.

Kinda reminds me of an old Fasco or Hunter.

  • This thing sounds like a "Roll-O-Plane" amusement ride. No wonder as to why it was so cheap, it has a yellow plastic motor housing! I kind of like it, though. What year is this fan from?

  • I could sleep with this fan on just fine. I alredy have to sleep with noisry A/C, so i'd be used to it. Thanks for posting it I love it ! :D

  • Yeah gears make quite a noise!

  • Holy crap! That's loud. heh, maybe it needs some grease on the gears?

I don't think I've ever seen a fan like this. Nice vid!

  • It probably wasn't loud when it was new.... but gears wear to a noisy state..... interesting fan

  • It sounds like a electric can opener. And can u make a vod of it with out the blades

  • jeeze why is it so noisy? does it need oil?

  • itsa chopping machine...ahaha

  • love that fan,(i really love the horse shoe crackets

  • i wooonder why these kinds of fans didn't last very long....;)

  • My Gosh! I wouldn't want to sleep with this fan on either! It sounds like a tornado siren, LOL!

  • oh my!!! no way for my bedroom, but still a A+ video

  • OMG that loud!? But unlike Firction Drive those does not appears to stop too fast. Is it true that the brass plated parts are ALL made of plastic? I think it was Christian that said that those sound like can opener and he's right. Ahhh! What size is it?

  • @Jean2291 I've examined one of these in person. The blades are about 4mm thick and feel very stiff, like some sort of deeply-grained plastic. But yes, the entire housing and blade arms are plastic.

  • Interesting fan. I like the sound it makes when it spins down.
