It was an old cannister vacuum which was very quiet to begin with and I put an extra section of plastic tubing on the exhaust port to quiet it down further.
@Zylstra555 Yes, I should have showed the hook up a little more closely. The tube going to the piano has a large opening in one side partially covered with a piece of sheet metal that can be slid back and forth to vary the amount of suction.
@JamesPriceJohnson, The suction tube coming into the top of the bellows on the left side of the piano. Because of the way the valves are set up, it still has to be rewound using the foot pedals, which is better anyway because most of the rolls are nearly 100 years old and need to be handled with care.

What type of vacuum did you use? It's quite. I have a normal vacuum hooked up to mine and it's loud and too much suction.

I wish i had a player piano. Would you sell it to me?

A normal vacuum may be too powerful for a player piano. It is not advisable, and could cause serious damage.
