think about it...im catholic just to let you know...but God technacally put the death penalty on Jesus when He died for our sins..and Jesus was a human being and God...but a human at that...im not saying death penalty is right or wrong..im just thinking..
I am pro life and I support the death penalty. I think the bible supports it also. God is just, and the issue surrounding criminals that would make themselves eligible for the death penalty is justice. This has absolutely nothing to do with abortion, so I find it amusing that most people that are opposed to the death penalty are pro choice. I think that is more of a problem IF you approach it biblically rather than with the "wisdom" of man.
I support the death penalty to an extent. And i'm pro-choice.
@Rosary: I have to agree with AdolescentAntiTheist. Most pro-lifers that aren't part of the Catholic church do support the death penalty. It's hilarious
sparcal54, I cannot speak for non-catholics, but I wanted to clarify the Church's position on the death penalty, which many misinterpret. BTW, where do you get your data that most pro-lifers (non-catholics) support the death penalty? I personally have not seen any hard data one way or the other.
@rosaryfilms I agree with the death penalty for someone who was so proud of themselves for raping a three year old who did not know what was happening, because that person was in the wrong from the get go!
wow melaniestevens.. you really are tryihng to convince yourself that "god" wont send you to hell for your beliefs arent you?
This is why i hate religion, in particular any for of christinaity. You all live in fear of being sent to hell or rejected at the gates of heaven if you have a contradicting oppinion to that of the bible.
I pity each and every person who lives like this. Devoted to a "god" who they fear.

IF YOU READ THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH which is an official exposition of the teachings of the Catholic Church.
PART ONE
THE PROFESSION OF FAITH
SECTION TWO
THE PROFESSION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH
IN CHAPTER TWO IT SAYS
"For the Son of God became man so that we might become God.
The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods."
THIS IS A HERESY AND IS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT THE SERPENT TOLD EVE !

Being prolife and for the death penalty is not a contradiction. Babies didn't commit a crime.
