I have to disagree with you on the Diablo online portion Bwana. It sounds like a really good reason to me. There were a lot of characters on B.Net in D2 that were in fact brought into B.net AFTER using hacks/cheats/etc while offline in single player. Lots of your complaints related to Diablo sounded like straight-up complaining for the sake of complaining and that's very unusual for your casts. I'm kind of disappointed.

I find it kinda sad, the loss in the single player era of video games, I used to love all the RPGs and such that came out, to suit why console what it was, It was a single player platform. Now, I find consoles try so hard to push multiplayer online, which in all honestly PC will always outclass, since that's what PCs do, they fit far better into Online games. It's sad really, because there are only really a few games out there that the majority of people play, and most are RTS, MOBA, and FPS

I also lost interest in console gaming too Bwana. At one time it was well over 6 months i did not log into PSN because i was playing World of Tanks, Battlefield 2 ect..

Once Battlefield 3 releases that is what i will be gaming on all the time on my PC but i might play some single player uncharted but that's all i see on the console side.

I have a friend that works at blizzard and he told me they actually have a team that goes on forums and youtube posing as fans to sway the public opinion in blizzards favor. Blizzard also tend to give beta keys to sites and video bloggers that backs their decisions, so they can give away to their viewers. I think DICE mailed it in in terms of player counts for the console versions of BF3.

Bad Company 1 = 24 players

Bad Company 2 = 24 players

Battlefield 3 = 24 players.

That tells me they copy pasted in terms of the player counts for console. 32 would have been at least a step for being acceptable.

@Persistantthug Obviously they would have increased the player count if it was possible. They wanted no lag and for it to be as smooth as possible. I never get lag when playing the game. It works on both. I own them both. I also own BF2 for the PC which has 64 players. The main reason they probably made BC1 24 players is because with destruction it would have been ridiculous. BF2 was ridiculous you get killed almost instantly in a 64 player match...its barely even fun...

I feel bad for Nintendo but they really need more 3rd party support. The Wii has never seemed to reach its true potential and I blame that mainly on the lack of interesting 3rd party games. They almost seem scared of the motion controls.

The Gamecube to me reached its potential (for me at least) when I saw Resident Evil 4 being played by a friend and mistook the Gameplay for a cutscene. It pulled everything it could out of the Gamecube. I have yet to see or feel that with the Wii.
